Description
- Field of the Disclosure
- The disclosure relates to golf games and more particularly pertains to a new golf game for playing mini golf on a beach.
- Summary of the Disclosure
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a shovel that may dig a plurality of holes in a support surface. A plurality of cups is provided and each of the cups is positioned within an associated one of the holes.
- Each of the cups defines an associated goal when the cups are positioned within positioned in an associated one of the holes. A plurality of putters is provided. A plurality of balls is provided and each of the balls may be placed on the support surface. A selected one of the balls is selectively struck by a selected one of the putters. The selected ball is urged toward a selected goal. A case is provided. The shovel, the cups, the markers, the putters and the balls is selectively stored in the case.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a beach golf game system according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a top perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new golf game embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 4 , the beachgolf game system 10 generally comprises ashovel 12 that may manipulated to dig a plurality ofholes 14 in asupport surface 16. Thesupport surface 16 may be a beach or the like. Theholes 14 may be spaced apart from each other and distributed along thesupport surface 16. Theholes 14 may be arranged in the convention of mini golf. - A plurality of
cups 18 is provided and each of thecups 18 may be positioned within an associated one of theholes 14. Each of thecups 18 defines an associatedgoal 20 when thecups 18 are positioned within the associatedhole 14. Each of thecups 18 has a basal wall 22 and aperipheral wall 24 extending upwardly from the basal wall 22. Theperipheral wall 24 corresponding to each of thecups 18 has adistal edge 26 to define anopening 28 into thecorresponding cup 18. Thedistal edge 26 of each of thecups 18 is aligned with thesupport surface 16 when thecups 18 are positioned in the associatedhole 14. Thedistal edge 26 of each of thecups 18 may additionally be placed beneath thesupport surface 16 when thecups 18 are positioned in the associatedhole 14. - The basal wall 22 of each of the
cups 18 has an opening 30 extending therethrough. A plurality ofmarkers 32 is provided and each of themarkers 32 includes apole 34 and aflag 36. Thepole 34 has adistal end 38 with respect to theflag 36. Thedistal end 38 of each of thepoles 34 is extended through the opening of an associatedcup 18 when the associatedcup 18 is positioned in the associatedhole 14. Thus, theflag 36 is spaced from thesupport surface 16 thereby facilitating theflag 36 to be visible from a distance. Anumber 40 is printed on theflag 36 corresponding to each of themarkers 32. Each of themarkers 32 has aunique number 40 with respect toother markers 32 ranging between approximately one and nine. - A plurality of
putters 42 is provided and each of theputters 42 may be manipulated. Each of theputters 42 may comprise a golf putter or the like. A plurality ofballs 44 is provided and each of theballs 44 may comprise a golf ball or the like. Each of theballs 44 may be placed on thesupport surface 16. - A
case 46 is provided. Theshovel 12, thecups 18, themarkers 32, theputters 42 and theballs 44 are selectively stored in thecase 46. Thecase 46 has abody 48 and alid 50. Thelid 50 is hingedly coupled to thebody 48 and thelid 50 is positionable in a closed position and an open position. Ahandle 52 is coupled to thebody 48 and thehandle 52 may be gripped. - In use, the
holes 14 are dug in thesupport surface 16. Theholes 14 are arranged to define a course on thesupport surface 16. Each of thecups 18 is positioned within an associated one of theholes 14. Each of themarkers 32 is positioned in an associated one of theholes 14. A selected one of theballs 44 is selectively struck by a selected one of theputters 42. Thus, theselected ball 44 is urged toward themarker 32 having the number one printed on theflag 36. The number of strokes required to sink theball 42 into thecorresponding cup 18 is recorded. Theball 44 is urged toward themarkers 32 corresponding to each of thegoals 20 in sequential order with respect to thenumber 40 on theflag 36. The number of strokes between eachgoal 20 is recorded. Game play continues until theball 44 has been urged into thecup 18 corresponding to each of thegoals 20. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, system and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
