Abstract
A privacy screen assembly includes a panel that may be placed upright on a support surface thereby facilitating the panel to conceal an area. A plurality of poles is provided. Each of the poles removably engages the panel such that the panel is stretched between the poles. Each of the poles may penetrate the support surface such that the panel is retained in an upright position with respect to the support surface.
Description
- The disclosure relates to screen devices and more particularly pertains to a new screen device for providing privacy or a wind break.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a panel that may be placed upright on a support surface thereby facilitating the panel to conceal an area. A plurality of poles is provided. Each of the poles removably engages the panel such that the panel is stretched between the poles. Each of the poles may penetrate the support surface such that the panel is retained in an upright position with respect to the support surface.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a front view of a privacy screen assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a top perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a left side perspective in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure forming a lean-to. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new screen device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , theprivacy screen assembly 10 generally comprises apanel 12 that may be placed upright on asupport surface 14 thereby facilitating thepanel 12 to conceal an area. Thepanel 12 has atop edge 16 and abottom edge 18 and the panel has a first set ofopenings 20 extending therethrough. The first set ofopenings 20 are spaced apart from each other and distributed along thetop edge 16. Thepanel 12 has a second set ofopenings 22 extending therethrough. The second set ofopenings 22 is spaced apart from each other and distributed along thebottom edge 18. Each of the first set ofopenings 20 is aligned with an associated one of the second set ofopenings 22. Thepanel 12 may be comprised of a flexible and fluid impermeable material. - A plurality of
poles 24 is provided. Each of thepoles 24 removably engages thepanel 12 such that thepanel 12 is stretched between thepoles 24. Each of thepoles 24 may penetrate thesupport surface 14 such that thepanel 12 is retained in an upright position with respect to thesupport surface 14. Thesupport surface 14 may be ground. - Each of the
poles 24 has atop end 26 and abottom end 28. Each of thepoles 24 has afirst section 30 that is slidably coupled to asecond section 32 such that each of thepoles 24 has a telescopically adjustable height. Each of thepoles 24 has acoupler 31 that is rotatably coupled to thefirst section 30 such that thecoupler 31 on each of the poles may be manipulated. Thecoupler 31 selectively frictionally engages thesecond section 32 such of an associated one of thepoles 24 such that the associatedpole 24 is retained at a selected height. - The
top end 26 of each of thepoles 24 has anipple 34 extending upwardly therefrom. Thebottom end 28 of each of thepoles 24 has aspike 36 extending downwardly therefrom. Thenipple 34 of each of thepoles 24 is extended through a selected one of the first set ofopenings 20. Thespike 36 on each of thepoles 24 is extending through one of the second set ofopenings 22 that is aligned with the selected one of the first set ofopenings 20. Thespike 36 on each of thepoles 24 is manipulated to penetrate thesupport surface 14 such that each of thepoles 24 extends upwardly from thesupport surface 14. Thus, thepanel 12 is stretched between thepoles 24. - The
panel 12 may be positioned to extend at an angle between thetop end 26 of each of thepoles 24 and thesupport surface 14. At least onefastener 28 is provided and the at least onefastener 28 is extended through a selected one of the second set ofopenings 22. The at least onefastener 28 engages thesupport surface 14 thereby facilitating thepanel 12 to form a lean-to. The at least onefastener 28 may comprise a steak or the like. - In use, the
panel 12 is stretched out along the support surface14. Each of thepoles 24 is positioned to extending through selected ones of the first set ofopenings 20 and the second set ofopenings 22. Thepoles 24 are spaced apart from each other and distributed along thepanel 12. Thepoles 24 may be arranged to form a geometric shape such as a rectangle or the like. Thepanel 12 provides a wind break, shade or privacy while thepanel 12 is upright with respect to thesupport surface 14. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
