Description

  • The invention relates to a radiator and a radiator arrangement.
  • The heat emitted by radiators is typically emitted in all spatial directions, so that a wall or respectively wall recess arranged on the rear side of the radiator is also heated. Such a heating of wall regions is generally undesirable, however, because the amount of energy expended for this is no longer available for the actually desired heating of the room. The energy efficiency of the radiator is correspondingly low.
  • The invention is based on the problem of presenting a radiator or respectively a radiator arrangement with high energy efficiency.
  • This problem is solved by a radiator having the features of claim 1 or respectively by a radiator arrangement having the features of claim 8. Advantageous embodiments are described in the respective subclaims.
  • The radiator according to the invention comprises a base body having substantially the shape of an elongated rectangle, a first heating water connection arranged on the rear side on the base body, a second heating water connection arranged on the rear side on the base body, and a heat insulation plate, having substantially the shape of an elongated rectangle, arranged on the rear side on the base body. The heat insulation plate has a cavity facing the base body.
  • Through the arrangement of a heat insulation plate on the rear side of the base body, the radiation of heat in the direction of the wall is reduced. The energy efficiency of the radiator increases accordingly.
  • The cavity in the heat insulation plate, facing the base body, leads to an air shaft occurring between base body and heat insulation, in which the air heated by the base body can circulate. Convection is therefore made possible. In this way, therefore, on the one hand the radiator is shielded with respect to the wall by the heat insulation plate, on the other hand; however, a convection heating is also made possible on the rear side of the base body.
  • The two heating water connections serve for the connection of the heating water circuit on the radiator side to a heating pipe system present on site. One of the heating water connections functions here as a heating water intake, whilst the other heating water connection functions as a heating water return. The position of the heating water intake or respectively heating water return is variable here and can be adapted according to requirements.
  • The heating water circuit on the radiator side is constructed within the base body. The base body thereby undertakes the actual heating function. For example, the base body is constructed as a heating panel.
  • In a preferred embodiment, the recess extends in the direction of the longitudinal side of the heating insulation plate. The recess consequently has an elongated shape. This makes possible a particularly good convection within the recess. The energy efficiency of the radiator is therefore increased to a particular extent.
  • In a further advantageous embodiment, the heating insulation plate has in addition a recess for receiving the first heating water connection and/or the second heating water connection. In this way, the heating water connection can be integrated into the heating insulation plate or respectively the heating insulation plate can also thermally insulate the heating water connection. The energy efficiency of the radiator thereby increases once again.
  • In a further advantageous embodiment, at least one mounting element is arranged on the base body for mounting the radiator onto a wall, and the heating insulation plate has a mounting recess in the region of the mounting element. In this way, a secure connection between wall and radiator is possible. At the same time, the mounting recess makes it possible that the heating insulation plate in other regions covers the rear side of the base body and in this way increases the energy efficiency.
  • Heat insulation plates which are constructed as a vacuum insulation panel or as a plate of polyisocyanurate (PIR) have proved to be particularly advantageous.
  • In a further advantageous embodiment, the radiator has in addition a front plate, which is arranged on the front side on the base body. This front plate advantageously has angled lateral edges.
  • The radiator arrangement according to the invention has a radiator which is arranged in a wall niche, wherein the heat insulation plate is arranged between the niche rear wall and the rear side of the base body.
  • Through such an arrangement of the heat insulation plate on the rear side of the base body, the radiation of heat in the direction of the niche rear wall is reduced. The energy efficiency of the radiator increases accordingly.
  • In an advantageous embodiment, a sealing element is arranged between the lateral edges of the front plate of the radiator and the lateral walls of the niche. A receiving space for a sealing element can form between the angled lateral edges and the lateral faces of the niche. Through such a sealing element, a reliable closure of the wall niche is possible.
  • In a further advantageous embodiment, the radiator arrangement has in addition a removable hatch, partially closing the wall niche. The hatch can be easily removed, in order to be able to carry out maintenance, cleaning and/or mounting work on the base body and/or on the heating water connections in an uncomplicated manner.
  • The detachable fixing of the hatch by weld studs, which are introduced into clamping bushes of a frame, has proven to be a particularly advantageous possibility for fixing the hatch.
  • The invention is further explained by means of an example embodiment in the figures of the drawings. There are shown:
  • FIG. 1 a perspective exploded illustration of a radiator;
  • FIG. 2 a perspective view of the rear side of the radiator of FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 3 a detail view of the region A of FIG. 2;
  • FIG. 4 a front view of the radiator of FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 5 a sectional view of the plane B-B of FIG. 4;
  • FIG. 6 a sectional view of the plane B-B of FIG. 4 with a wall niche; and
  • FIG. 7 a perspective view of the radiator of FIG. 1 with a hatch, installed into a wall niche.
  • The radiator 1 illustrated in the figures has a base body 2, a front plate 3 and a heat insulation plate 4. The base body 2 has the shape of an elongated rectangle. On the rear side of the base body 2, a first heating water connection 5 and a second heating water connection 6 are arranged. Depending on the installation situation of the radiator 1, either the first heating water connection 5 or the second heating water connection 6 is constructed as heating water intake and the respectively other heating water connection is constructed as heating water return.
  • Furthermore, a total of two mounting elements 7 are arranged on the rear side of the base body 2, which serve for fastening the radiator 1 to a wall 11 situated rearward from the radiator 1.
  • The heat insulation plate 4 is arranged between the rearward wall 11 and the rear side of the base body 2. The heat insulation plate 4 likewise has the shape of an elongated rectangle and is adapted in its dimensions to the size of the base body 2, so that the heat insulation plate 4 substantially covers the rear side of the base body 2.
  • The heat insulation plate 4 has a recess 8 for receiving the first heating water connection 5. In addition, the heat insulation plate 4 has a cavity 9 facing the base body 2—more precisely the rear side of the base body 2. This cavity 9 extends in the direction of the longitudinal side of the heat insulation plate 4 and enables the circulation of heated air. Finally, the heat insulation plate 4 has respectively a mounting recess 10 in the region of the mounting elements 7.
  • The front plate 3 is arranged on the front side of the base body 2 and forms the room-side closure of the radiator 1. On the edge side, the front plate 3 extends beyond the base body 2. The lateral edges 20 of the front plate 3 are angled.
  • FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 show the arrangement of the radiator 1 in a wall niche of a wall 11. The wall niche has a niche rear wall 12 and niche lateral walls 13, 14. The radiator 1 is introduced into the spatial volume spanned by the niche rear wall 12 and the niche lateral walls 13, 14. The heating water connections 5, 6 are connected with a heating pipe system present on site. The dimensions of the wall niche and of the radiator 1 are coordinated with one another such that if necessary a small gap remains between the lateral edges 20 of the front plate 3 and the niche lateral walls 13, 14. Through the angled shape of the lateral edges 20, a receiving space 19 additionally forms between niche lateral wall 13, 14 and the radiator 1. This receiving space 19 serves to receive a sealing element (not illustrated in the figures).
  • A hatch (cover, opening) 15 is received in a frame 17. This hatch 15 is removable and partially closes the wall niche. The hatch 15 is detachably connected with the frame 17 by weld studs 16, which are introduced in clamping bushes 18 of the frame 17.
  • The radiator 1 can be mounted onto a wall 11 both vertically (i.e. the longitudinal side of the base body 2 extends in vertical direction) and also horizontally (i.e. the longitudinal side of the base body 2 extends in horizontal direction).
