Abstract

The purpose of this invention is to provide an insulating wrap made of polyester fabric intended to be wrapped around beverage and water containers of various sizes and shapes. The polyester fabric easily wraps around beverage and water containers and sticks to itself without falling off. All of the similar items sold on the market require special stitching, special folds of the material, tape, Velcro, string, or additional materials to keep the insulating sleeve or wrap from falling off the container. This invention requires no additional materials other than the polyester fabric itself to function as intended.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • I discovered that polyester fabric when wrapped around a container sticks to itself through the natural hook and loop ability of the fabric. Polyester fabric is manufactured in many parts of the world and can be cut into many shapes. My invention is to cut the fabric into a rectangular form which serves the purpose of insulating a beverage or water container without the use of strings, tape, special folds of the material, stitching, the use of additional materials, etc. The fabric sticks to itself. It is machine washable and reusable.
  • Invention Accomplishes:
  • The invention provides thermal insulation of a beverage or water in a container with a soft comfortable grasp for a person's hand.
  • Parts or Components:
  • The invention is made by cutting a single layer of polyester fabric or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fabric into a rectangle. PET textiles are also known as polar fleece.
  • Components Connect How:
  • The invention connects to itself with a microscopic hook and loop type connection inherent to the polyester fabric.
  • How does Invention Operate:
  • Polyester fabric, washable and reusable, is cut into rectangular strips and then wraps around a beverage or water container giving it thermal insulation. It is unique in that the properties of the polyester fabric allows the fabric to cling firmly to itself around a container with no extra fasteners, stitching, adhesives or any special folds or flaps applied to the fabric. This simplicity makes for a relatively inexpensive and affordable alternative to other products that provide thermal insulation for beverage or water containers.
  • Other Way to Make:
  • None
  • Can It be Used in More than One Way:
  • None
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 shows a piece of polyester fabric cut in a rectangular shape. The fabric can be various thicknesses.
  • FIG. 2 shows the polyester fabric as it will be wrapped around a container.
  • FIG. 3 shows the polyester fabric as it is being wrapped around a container.
  • FIG. 4 shows the fabric completely wrapped around a container. The hook and loop nature of the polyester fabric allows it to stay in place and stick to itself without falling off, providing an insulating wrap around a beverage or water container.
