Description

    BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • 1. Field of Invention
  • The present invention relates to a bottle for containing liquid and, more particularly, to a nozzle for a bottle.
  • 2. Related Prior Art
  • A cap is often used to close a bottle that contains liquid such as body wash, shampoo, detergent, lotion, and perfume. Thus, the liquid will not be leaked from the bottle. The liquid can be poured from the bottle after the cap is removed from the bottle. However, an excessive amount of the liquid might easily be poured from the bottle, and this is a waste.
  • A nozzle can be used to control the amount of the liquid dispensed from the nozzle. The nozzle is pressed to dispense the liquid from the bottle. The deeper the nozzle is pressed, the larger the amount of the liquid is dispensed.
  • Referring to FIG. 5, a conventional nozzle 10 includes a ring 20, a tube 30 extending throughout the ring 20, a piston 40 connected to an upper end of the tube 30 that extending beyond the ring 20, and a sheath 60 attached to the ring 20 by adhesion. The ring 20 can be engaged with a bottle (not shown). The piston 40 can be moved relative to the tube 30 to dispense liquid from the bottle. More details of such a nozzle can be found in Taiwanese patent application publication no. 104205744.
  • The color of the ring 20 is dull, and it is difficult to clean the ring 20. Hence, the sheath 60 is provided around the ring 20. However, it is difficult to adhere the sheath 60 to the ring 20. Moreover, the sheath 60 includes a sharp lower edge that would cut a user.
  • The present invention is therefore intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in prior art.
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a bottle with a safe nozzle.
  • To achieve the foregoing objective, the nozzle includes a ring, a tube, a piston and a sheath. The ring includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The tube extends in the ring. The piston is connected to the tube and partially located out of the ring. The sheath is made of metal and includes a first annular flange at an end and a second annular flange at another end. The sheath is arranged around the ring. The first annular flange is placed against the upper portion of the ring and the second annular flange is placed against lower portion of the ring when sheath is provided around the ring. Thus, the sheath is kept on the ring without the use of any adhesive.
  • In another aspect, the ring further includes an annular wall extending from the upper portion. The first annular flange is placed against the annular wall while the second annular flange is placed against the lower portion.
  • In another aspect, the sheath further includes a shoulder formed between a wide section and a slender section. The shoulder is provided around a portion of the ring between the annular wall and the upper portion of the ring. The slender section is provided around the annular wall. The wide section is provided around the ring. The first annular flange is formed at an end of the slender section. The second annular flange is formed at an end of the wide section.
  • Other objectives, advantages and features of the present invention will be apparent from the following description referring to the attached drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • The present invention will be described via detailed illustration of three embodiments versus the prior art referring to the drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a nozzle according to the first embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is another cross-sectional view of the nozzle shown in FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a nozzle according to the second embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of a nozzle according to the third embodiment of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of a conventional nozzle.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a nozzle 10 includes a ring 20, a tube 30, a piston 40, a packing 50 and sheath 60 according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
  • The ring 20 is shaped like a cap. That is, the ring 20 is inverted U-shaped in FIG. 1, a cross-sectional view taken in an axial direction of the ring 20. The ring 20 includes a skid-proof device 21, an upper portion 22, a lower portion 24, an annular wall 26, a restraining portion 28 and a hooking portion 32. The skid-proof device 21 is formed on an external side of the ring 20. Preferably, the skid-proof device 21 includes alternatively arranged longitudinal ribs and grooves. The annular wall 26 axially extends from the upper portion of the ring 20. The restraining portion 28 also axially extends from the upper portion 22 of the ring 20. The restraining portion 28 extends in the annular wall 26. The restraining portion 28 is hollow. The hooking portion 32 is formed on an internal side of the restraining portion 28. The hooking portion 32 is an annular rib or includes several short longitudinal ribs evenly arranged in a circle.
  • The tube 30 includes an upper portion, a lower portion and a middle portion. The diameter of the upper portion of the tube 30 is larger than that of the middle portion, and the diameter of the middle portion of the tube 30 is larger than that of the lower portion. The upper portion of the tube 30 is inserted in the restraining portion 28 of the ring 20 and hooked by the hooking portion 32 so that the tube 30 is kept with the ring 20.
  • The piston 40 is connected to the upper portion of the tube 30. The piston 40 extends through an aperture (not numbered) made in the restraining portion 28. The piston 40 is located out of the ring 20.
  • The packing 50 is provided around the tube 30. A upper face of the packing 50 is in contact with a lower face of the upper portion 22 of the ring 20. When the ring 20 is connected to an upper portion of a bottle (not shown), a gap between the lower portion of the upper portion 22 of the ring 20 and the upper portion of the bottle is sealed by the packing 50.
  • The sheath 60 is made of metal and provided with beautiful bright colors by anodization. The sheath 60 includes a first annular flange 62 formed at an upper end, a second annular flange 64 formed at a lower end, and a pattern 63 formed on an internal side. There is an angle between the sheath 60 and the first annular flange 62. Similarly, there is an angle between the sheath 60 and the second annular flange 64. The angle is about 90° to 120°.
