Abstract

A structure of an air-pocket film reel includes a support holder mountable to an air-pocket film machine and an air-pocket film reel mountable to the support holder. The support holder has an end portion including at least one constraint section formed thereon. The air-pocket film reel has an end including an engagement section engageable with and thus mating the constraint section. When the air-pocket film reel is fit to the support holder, the engagement section is put into mating engagement with the constraint section of the support holder to effectively prevent slipping of the air-pocket film reel and achieve synchronous rotation of the support holder and the air-pocket film reel to thereby improve overall productivity, better sealing effect, and enhance stability.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates generally to a structure of an air-pocket film reel, and more particularly to a structure of an air-pocket film reel that has enhanced stability, excellent sealing effect, and increased overall productivity.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
  • A conventional air-pocket film machine comprises a support holder on which an air-pocket film reel is supported and which is generally driven by a rear-side drive roller to rotate. However, no constraint structure is provided between the air-pocket film reel and the support holder so that when an air-pocket film provided on the air-pocket film reel is driven by the driver roller to feed out, the air-pocket film reel may readily get slipping on the support holder, leading to undesired idle operation and thus a loosened condition of the film. In brief, one of the ends of the air-pocket film lacks being stretched by a force applied thereto so that the air-pocket film gets irregular when fed out of the air-pocket film reel. This results in poor stability of out-feeding, poor sealing effect, and reduced overall productivity.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the above problems, the present invention aims to provide a structure of an air-pocket film reel that has enhanced stability, excellent sealing effect, and increased overall productivity.
  • An object of the present invention is that through mating engagement between an engagement section of an air-pocket film reel and a constraint section of a support holder, the air-pocket film reel and the support holder are coupled together for synchronous rotation with each other so that no idle rotation caused by relative slipping may occur, whereby stability and sealing effect can both be improved and the overall productivity can be enhanced.
  • The structure that the present invention adopts to achieve the above object comprises a support holder, which is mountable to and driven by an air-pocket film machine. The support holder has an end that comprises at least one constraint section formed thereon. The constraint section is engageable with and mates an engagement section of the air-pocket film reel. As such, when the air-pocket film machine is put into operation and pulls off an air-pocket film provided on the air-pocket film reel, due to resistance induced between the support holder and the air-pocket film machine and the air-pocket film being driven by being stretched at one end by a drive roller, the air-pocket film that is pulled out is stretched and under tension so as to be regular and flat. Further, due to the retaining engagement between the constraint section and the engagement section, no slipping may occur when the air-pocket film reel is pulled and stretched thereby achieving an advantage of being smoother than the prior art.
  • With the above arrangement, the problems that a prior art air-pocket film reel used in an air-pocket film machine suffers an issue of irregularity that leads to poor stability of out-feeding, poor sealing effect, and poor overall productivity can be overcome.
  • The foregoing objectives and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
  • Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The following descriptions are exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1-4, which are respectively a perspective view and an exploded view showing a support holder according to the present invention and a perspective view and an exploded view of an air-pocket film reel according to the present invention, the drawings clearly show that the present invention comprises:
  • a support holder 1 that is mountable to an air-pocket film machine, the support holder 1 having an end portion that comprises at least one constraint section 11 formed on a surface of the end portion, the support holder 1 comprising at least one slope positioning section 12 arranged at an end of the constraint section 11 for securely holding and stabilizing an air-pocket film reel 2 that will be further described; and
  • an air-pocket film reel 2 that is mountable to the support holder 1, the air-pocket film reel 2 having an end in which an engagement section 21 that is engageable with and fit to the constraint section 11.
  • Further, when multiple ones of the constraint section 11 of the present invention are collectively used, they are arranged to show a stepped configuration; and correspondingly, multiple ones of the engagement section 21 of the present invention are provided and are similarly arranged to show a stepped configuration.
  • Further, the support holder 1 can be integrally formed as a unitary device, or alternatively, the support holder can be made up of a combination of a first support holder member 100 and a second support holder member 101 that mates and is coupled to the first support holder member 101.
  • Referring collectively to FIGS. 1-7, which are respectively a perspective view and an exploded view showing the support holder according to the present invention and a perspective view and an exploded view of the air-pocket film reel according to the present invention, a schematic view illustrating mounting of the air-pocket film reel to the support holder of the present invention, a perspective view, partly cut out, showing the air-pocket film reel mounted to the support holder of the present invention, and a schematic view illustrating an operation of an air-pocket film machine to which the present invention is applicable, the drawings clearly show that in mounting and fitting the air-pocket film reel 2 to the support holder 1, after the air-pocket film reel 2 has been fit to the support holder 1, the engagement section 21 is put into engagement with the constraint section 11 so that the air-pocket film reel 2 is constrained in position in a direction substantially parallel to the direction in which the fitting is made and during the fitting operation, due to a positioning effect provided by the slope positioning section 12 being elastic, the air-pocket film reel 2 is securely held on the support holder 1. Further, the air-pocket film machine 3 to which the support holder 1 is coupled provides damping, namely a predetermined amount of resistance, so that when the support holder 1 would not get excessively fast when driven to rotate. When the air-pocket film machine 3 starts operation, a drive roller 31 arranged at a rear side of the air-pocket film machine pulls and stretches the air-pocket film 22 so that the air-pocket film reel 2 is caused to rotate in unison therewith due to the stretching. Under this condition, the damping prevents the air-pocket film reel 2 from rotating, due to being stretching, at an excessively high speed. In other words, an anterior end of the air-pocket film 22 is pulled and stretched by the drive roller 31, while a posterior end of the support holder 1 is kept in a low speed by the resistance induced by the damping so that both ends of the air-pocket film 22 are pulled and thus stretched to thereby achieve a more regular condition and thus advantages of increasing overall productivity, bettering sealing effect, and improved stability and additional, a modularized arrangement is achieved to ease replacement and assembly.
  • Referring to FIGS. 8-10, which are respectively a perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention that comprises a constraint section in an elastic form, a perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention comprises an engagement section in a through-hole form, and a perspective view illustrating mating engagement between the constraint section and the engagement section according to the present invention, the drawings clearly show that the constraint section 11 a is made so that the constraint section 11 a is of an elastic form, while the engagement section 21 a is in the form of a through hole, so that when the air-pocket film reel is fit to the support holder, the constraint section 11 a is received into the engagement section 21 a to mate and engage therewith and thus be retained therein. To withdraw and remove the air-pocket film reel, the constraint section 11 a is pressed down and deformed due to the elasticity thereof to allow for disengagement so that the air-pocket film reel can be removed easily. In addition, this provides a fixing structure of a secondary retaining engagement effect.
  • The above described is provided for preferred illustrative example of the present invention and is not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Variations of easy modification and equivalence available from the description and illustration given in this specification are all considered within the scope of the appended claims.
  • Thus, referring to all the drawings, compared to the prior art, the present invention provides the following advantages:
  • Through mating engagement between the engagement section 21 of the air-pocket film reel 2 and the constraint section 11 of the support holder 1, the air-pocket film reel 2 and the support holder 1 are coupled together for synchronous rotation with each other so that no idle rotation caused by relative slipping may occur, whereby stability and sealing effect can both be improved and the overall productivity can be enhanced.
  • It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
  • While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the claims of the present invention.
