Abstract
A cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effect has a body and a surrounding slice. The body has a surrounding wall. The surrounding slice is mounted around the surrounding wall and has an external surface and multiple protrusions. The multiple protrusions are formed on the external surface of the surrounding slice. The multiple protrusions are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. Multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall, and each interval is hollow. The multiple protrusions can increase the anti-slipping effect, such that the users may hold the surrounding slice stably. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because the multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a cup, and more particularly to a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effect that can allows the users to hold the cup stably and can prevent the users getting scalded by hot drinks contained in the cup.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- With reference to
FIG. 5 , a conventional paper cup has abody 90, and thebody 90 has a surroundingwall 91, abottom portion 92, and arim portion 93. The surroundingwall 91 is folded and bonded to form a cylindrical shape, and has a bottom edge and a top edge. Thebottom portion 92 is connected to the bottom edge of the surroundingwall 91. Therim portion 93 is connected to the top edge of the surroundingwall 91 and is rolled into a tube shape, and this can increase the structural strength of thebody 90. Additionally, to prevent thebody 90 from getting damp and damaged, a water-proof membrane is coated on an external surface and an internal surface of the surroundingwall 91. The water-proof membrane is also coated on an external surface and an internal surface of thebottom portion 92. - However, the
body 90 of the conventional paper cup has the following drawbacks in use. - 1. The external surface of the surrounding
wall 91 is flat and slippery, so the surroundingwall 91 does not have an anti-slipping effect. Thebody 90 may get damp and drop off from a hand of a user when thecup 90 contains drinks, especially cold drinks. - 2. The surrounding
wall 91 is a single-layered structure, so the structural strength of thebody 90 is insufficient, and the shape of thebody 90 may deform easily. In addition, when the body contains hot drinks (over 50° C.), the hot drinks in thebody 90 may burn the users since thebody 90 has poor heat insulation effect. - 3. The external surface of the surrounding
wall 91 is flat, the surroundingwall 91 can only be flat printed, and this makes the appearance of the printing effect monotonous and lack variations. - To overcome the shortcomings of the conventional cup, the present invention provides a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
- The main objective of the present invention is to provide a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects which can allow the users to hold the cup stably and prevent the users from getting scalded by hot drinks contained in the cup.
- The cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects has a body and a surrounding slice. The body has a surrounding wall. The surrounding slice is mounted around the surrounding wall and has an external surface and multiple protrusions. The multiple protrusions are formed on the external surface of the surrounding slice. The multiple protrusions are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. Multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall, and each interval is hollow. The multiple protrusions can increase the anti-slipping effect, such that the users may hold the surrounding slice stably. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because the multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall. Therefore, when the cup contains hot drinks, the users can hold the cup safely, and would not get burned.
- Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawing.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a conventional paper cup in accordance with the prior art. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 to 3A , a cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects in accordance with the present invention comprises abody 10 and a surroundingslice 20. - The
body 10 has a surroundingwall 11, abottom portion 12, and arim portion 13. The surroundingwall 11 is folded and bonded into a cylindrical shape, has an external surface, a bottom edge and a top edge. Thebottom portion 12 is connected to the bottom edge of the surroundingwall 11. Therim portion 13 is connected to the top edge of the surroundingwall 11 and is rolled as tube-shaped, and this can increase the structural strength of thebody 10. The structural design of thebody 10 is the same as thebody 90 of the convention paper cup. Thebody 10 may be made of paper, plastic or other materials. - With reference to
FIGS. 3A, 3B, and 4 , the surroundingslice 20 is mounted around the external surface of the surroundingwall 11, corresponds in shape and size to the surroundingwall 11, and is fan-shaped when extended. The surroundingslice 20 has an external surface, an internal surface, two side edges, twoconnecting edges 21,multiple protrusions 22,multiple recesses 23, and afundamental face 24. The twoconnecting edges 21 are formed on the two side edges respectively, and the twoconnecting edges 21 may overlap and stick to each other. - The
multiple protrusions 22 are entirely formed on the external surface of the surroundingslice 20 without forming on the twoconnecting edges 21. Themultiple protrusions 22 are staggeredly disposed into regular grids by compressing molding or stamping. With reference toFIGS. 3A and 3B , therecesses 23 are formed in the internal surface of the surroundingslice 20 and correspond in position to theprotrusions 22. Therecesses 23 are hollow. Thefundamental face 24 is mounted around and is bonded to the external surface of the surroundingwall 11. Themultiple protrusions 22 axially protrude outwardly from thefundamental face 24. With reference toFIGS. 3A and 3B ,multiple intervals 25 are formed between the internal surface of the surroundingslice 20 and the external surface of the surroundingwall 11, and eachinterval 25 is hollow. Preferably, each one of theprotrusions 22 is shaped as an elongated rectangle. - With reference to
FIGS. 3A, 3B, and 4 , as the surroundingslice 20 is mounted around the external surface of the surroundingwall 11, the structural strength of the cup can be enhanced. Theprotrusions 22 are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. Therefore, theprotrusions 22 can increase the anti-slipping effect of the cup, such that the users may hold the surroundingslice 20 stably. The cup would not get damp and slippery, so the cup would not drop off from a hand of a user easily. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because thehollow intervals 25 are formed between the surroundingslice 20 and the surroundingwall 11. Therefore, when the cup contains hot drinks (over 50° C.), the users can hold the cup safely, and would not get burned, such that the practical effectiveness of the cup can be enhanced significantly. - The cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects of the present invention has the following advantages.
- 1. The
protrusions 22 are disposed staggeredly into regular grids. Therefore, theprotrusions 22 can increase the anti-slipping effect, such that the users can hold the surroundingslice 20 stably. The cup would not get damp and slippery, so the cup cannot drop off from a hand of a user easily. - 2. The cup has a good heat insulation effect because the
intervals 25 are formed between the surroundingslice 20 and the surroundingwall 11. Therefore, when the cup contains hot drinks(over 50 □), the users can hold the cup safely and would not get burned. - 3. The appearance of the cup is varied because the
protrusions 22 are staggeredly disposed into regular grids. In addition, the surroundingslice 20 can be printed with a variety of printing methods to meet the different needs of the users. - 4. The surrounding
slice 20 is mounted around the external surface of the surroundingwall 11, the structural strength of the cup can be improved, and this can prevent the cup from getting damp and deformed. - Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
Claims (4)
1. A cup with anti-slipping and heat insulation effects comprising:
a body having
a surrounding wall having
an external surface;
a bottom edge; and
a top edge; and
a bottom portion connected to the bottom edge of the surrounding wall; and
a surrounding slice mounted around the external surface of the surrounding wall, and having
an external surface;
an internal surface;
multiple protrusions formed on the external surface of the surrounding slice and staggeredly disposed into regular grids, each four of the multiple protrusions forming a group, and the four protrusions of each group connected to each other and disposed in a ring shape, wherein multiple intervals are formed between the surrounding slice and the surrounding wall, and each one of the intervals is hollow.
2. The cup as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the surrounding slice corresponds in shape and size to the surrounding wall, is fan-shaped, and has
two side edges; and
two connecting edges formed on the two side edges respectively, and the two connecting edges overlap and stick to each other, wherein the multiple protrusions are entirely formed on the external surface of the surrounding slice without forming on the two connecting edges.
3. The cup as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each one of the protrusions is shaped as an elongated rectangle.
4. The cup as claimed in claim 2 , wherein each one of protrusions is shaped as an elongated rectangle.
