Abstract

A compartmented resealable storage bag device stores multiple items in separate compartments of a single storage bag. The device includes a resealable closure coupled to a bag. The resealable closure extends across an open end of the bag. The resealable closure selectively closes the open end of the bag. A divider is coupled to the bag and positioned in an interior space of the bag such that the divider divides the interior space into a plurality of compartments within the interior space.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • 1. Field of the Disclosure
  • The disclosure relates to storage bag devices and more particularly pertains to a new storage bag device for storing multiple items in separate compartments of a single storage bag.
  • 2. Summary of the Disclosure
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a resealable closure coupled to a bag. The resealable closure extends across an open end of the bag. The resealable closure selectively closes the open end of the bag. A divider is coupled to the bag and positioned in an interior space of the bag such that the divider divides the interior space into a plurality of compartments within the interior space.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a top front side perspective view of a compartmented resealable storage bag device according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure taken along line 3-3 of FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 4 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use.
  • FIG. 5 is a front view of an alternative embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure taken along line 6-6 of FIG. 5.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new storage bag device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the compartmented resealable storage bag device 10 generally comprises a bag 12 having an interior space 14 and an open end 16 extending into the interior space 14. A resealable closure 18 of conventional design is coupled to the bag 12. The resealable closure 18 extends across the open end 16 of the bag 12. The resealable closure 18 selectively closes the open end 16 of the bag 12.
  • Each of a plurality of dividers 20 is coupled to the bag 12. Each divider 20 is positioned in the interior space 14 such that each divider 20 divides the interior space 14 into a plurality of compartments 22 within the interior space 14. Each divider 20 is a single planar sheet of material 24. The single sheet of material 24 has opposite side edges 26 coupled to an interior surface 28 of the bag 12. A respective upper end 30 of each divider 20 abuts the resealable closure 18 and a respective lower end 32 of each divider 20 abuts a bottom edge 36 of the bag 12. Thus, each compartment 22 is sealed to prevent mixing of items between the compartments 22 when the resealable closure 18 is closed. The dividers 20 are parallel within the interior space 14. Each divider is transverse to the resealable closure 18. The opposite edges 26 of each divider 20 are offset across the interior space 14 wherein each divider 20 has an S-shaped cross-sectional shape parallel to the resealable closure 18, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6.
  • The bag 12 may be rectangular, including square, when laying flat. The bag 12 has a height and width each being between 20 and 40 centimeters. The width of each divider 20 extending fully across the interior space 14 is between 5 and ten centimeters.
  • In use, the bag 12 is used similarly to a conventional plastic storage bag. Different items 66,68 are stored in separate compartments 22 formed by the divider 20 within the interior space 14 of the bag 12.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
