Compared with the traditional manner of directly processing the sofa leg into a required shape, the production cost is greatly lowered, and environmental protection is benefited.
Description
- The present utility model relates to a sofa leg, in particular to a composite sofa leg, which is convenient to present a variety of shapes.
- Sofa materials are varied, such as wooden sofas, cloth sofas, leather sofas or the like. Common sofa legs adopt ordinary shapes, the materials thereof can be the same as or different from those of the sofa bodies. Common sofa legs are mostly wooden, and iron or aluminum sofa legs are also used, but the requirements on this kind of sofa legs are low, and thus there is no need for too much improvement.
- However, with the improvement of people's living standards, some users propose higher and higher requirements on the shapes of the sofa legs and hope to use sofa legs provided with a variety of decorative patterns on the surfaces to improve the visual beauty, therefore a variety of sofa legs provided with decorative patterns on the outer surfaces of the leg bodies appear on the market, for example, a variety of patterns are printed or engraved on the surfaces of wooden sofa legs, or iron sofa legs are directly processed to styles with a variety of patterns on the surfaces via mold processing in the production.
- The sofa legs with a variety of beautiful patterns improve the aesthetic degrees, tastes and quality of life of the users, but have the following defects: no matter printing or engraving the wooden sofa legs with processed general shapes, or directly designing the metal sofa legs via mold processing, the manufacturing process is time-consuming and labor-wasted, resulting in an increased production cost; and moreover, more wood or metals will be wasted, which not only increases the production cost, but also is not conducive to environmental protection.
- The purpose of the utility model is to provide a composite sofa leg, which is low in processing cost and is convenient to present a variety of decorative patterns, so as to solve the above problems.
- The utility model achieves the above purpose through the following technical solution:
- a composite sofa leg includes a leg body, as well as a shell made of plastic, wherein the upper end of the shell is open, the leg body is placed in the shell, and the top of the leg body is flush with or basically flush with the top of the shell. When being connected and installed with a sofa body, the upper end of the leg body is connected with the sofa body, the shell is used as an ornament, and a visual effect required by a user can be easily achieved by injection molding.
- Preferably, the shell is a plastic shell, and is preferably an ABS plastic shell formed by ABS plastic via extrusion molding.
- The structure of the leg body has multiple selections, specifically:
- the leg body can be made of a foam material and fully fills the interior of the shell.
- The foam material can select a polyurethane foam material, which has the feature of light weight and can meet the strength demand of load bearing, in a production process, the shell is processed at first, then the foam material is filled in the shell, and the processing of the entire sofa leg is finished after the foam material solidifies.
- The leg body can further include a solid supporting column, and the solid supporting column is vertically arranged in the shell. The solid supporting column herein can be made of such materials as wood, metal and the like and plays a supporting function, and since the solid supporting column is covered by the shell, when the solid supporting column is manufactured, the beautiful appearance thereof is not considered, thereby being convenient to manufacture and saving the material. To conveniently locate the solid supporting column in the shell, the space except the solid supporting column in the shell is filled with the foam material. Compared with a leg body structure made of total foam material, the supporting force of this structure is stronger, and thus this structure is firmer after being installed on the sofa body.
- The leg body can also include a hollow supporting column, and the hollow supporting column is vertically arranged in the shell. The hollow supporting column herein can have the same function and material as the solid supporting column, and the only difference lies in that the hollow supporting column better saves the material. Similarly, to conveniently locate the hollow supporting column in the shell, the space except the hollow supporting column in the shell and the inner space of the hollow supporting column are filled with the foam material.
- The utility model has the following beneficial effects:
- the shell made of plastic is additionally installed at the outside of the leg body in the utility model, since the plastic has the features of lower smelting point, convenience for molding, easiness for achieving a simulated effect and the like, the shell can be used for easily making a variety of decorative patterns of the entire sofa leg. FIG. 1 andFIG. 2 , the composite sofa leg in the utility model includes a leg body and ashell 2 made of plastic, wherein the leg body is made of apolyurethane foam material 1, theshell 2 is extrusion molded by ABS plastic and can also be made by other plastics, the upper end of theshell 2 is open, thepolyurethane foam material 1 is placed in theshell 2 and fully fills the interior of theshell 2, and the top of thepolyurethane foam material 1 is flush with the top of theshell 2, and can also be basically flush with the top of theshell 2. - As shown in
FIG. 3 andFIG. 4 , the composite sofa leg in the utility model includes a leg body and ashell 2 made of plastic, wherein the leg body includes a solid supportingcolumn 3, the solid supportingcolumn 3 is vertically arranged at the central position in theshell 2, the space except the solid supportingcolumn 3 in theshell 2 is filled with apolyurethane foam material 1, theshell 2 is extrusion molded by ABS plastic and can also be made by other plastics, the upper end of theshell 2 is open, and the tops of the solid supportingcolumn 3 and thepolyurethane foam material 1 are flush with the top of theshell 2, and can also be basically flush with the top of theshell 2. - As shown in
FIG. 5 andFIG. 6 , the composite sofa leg in the utility model includes a leg body and ashell 2 made of plastic, wherein the leg body includes a hollow supportingcolumn 4, the hollow supportingcolumn 4 is vertically arranged at the central position in theshell 2, the space except the hollow supportingcolumn 4 in theshell 2 and the inner space of the hollow supportingcolumn 4 are filled with apolyurethane foam material 1, theshell 2 is extrusion molded by ABS plastic and can also be made by other plastics, the upper end of theshell 2 is open, and the tops of the hollow supportingcolumn 4 and thepolyurethane foam material 1 are flush with the top of theshell 2, and can also be basically flush with the top of theshell 2. In the above three embodiments, theshell 2 can be extrusion molded to any designed shape according to demand, and any pattern can also be printed on the surface of the shell, so that the manufacturing process thereof is much easier than those of wood and metal products. When the sofa leg is connected and installed with a sofa body, the upper end of the leg body is connected with the sofa body, adhesive connection is adopted in general, theshell 2 is used as an ornament, and a visual effect of a wood or metal sofa leg required by a user can be achieved easily. - The above embodiments are merely preferred embodiments of the utility model, rather than limitations to the technical solutions of the utility model, and any technical solutions achieved on the basis of the above embodiments without any creative effort shall fall within the protection scope of claims of the patent of the utility model.
Claims (7)
1. A composite sofa leg, comprising a leg body, as well as a shell made of plastic, wherein the upper end of the shell is open, the leg body is placed in the shell, and the top of the leg body is flush with or basically flush with the top of the shell.
2. The composite sofa leg of claim 1 , wherein the shell is a plastic shell.
3. The composite sofa leg of claim 1 or 2 , wherein the leg body is a foam material and fully fills the interior of the shell.
4. The composite sofa leg of claim 1 or 2 , wherein the leg body comprises a solid supporting column, and the solid supporting column is vertically arranged in the shell.
5. The composite sofa leg of claim 4 , wherein the space except the solid supporting column in the shell is filled with the foam material.
6. The composite sofa leg of claim 1 or 2 , wherein the leg body comprises a hollow supporting column, and the hollow supporting column is vertically arranged in the shell.
7. The composite sofa leg of claim 6 , wherein the space except the hollow supporting column in the shell and the inner space of the hollow supporting column are filled with the foam material.
