Abstract

A yard debris bag support device supports a yard debris bag in an open position. The device includes a yard debris bag and a plurality of panels. Each of the panels has opposed laterals sides. The laterals sides of adjacently positioned panels are pivotally coupled together wherein the panels form a series of the panels foldable into a closed geometric shape having an open top side and an open bottom side. The panels are positionable in the yard debris bag such that the geometric shape supports the yard debris bag in an open position.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • 1. Field of the Disclosure
  • The disclosure relates to support devices and more particularly pertains to a new support device for supporting a yard debris bag in an open position.
  • 2. SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a yard debris bag and a plurality of panels.
  • There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a top front side perspective view of a yard debris bag support device according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in a folded position.
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use.
  • FIG. 4 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use.
  • FIG. 6 is a detailed top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new support device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the yard debris bag support device 10 generally comprises a yard debris bag 12 having an open end 14 and a closed end 16.
  • Each of a plurality of panels 18 has opposed laterals sides 20. The laterals sides 20 of adjacently positioned panels 18 are pivotally coupled together wherein the panels 18 form a series of the panels 18 foldable into a closed geometric shape 22 having an open top side 24 and an open bottom side 26. The panels 18 are positionable in the yard debris bag 12 such that the geometric shape 22 supports the yard debris bag 12 in an open position 28. Each of the panels 18 has rounded upper corners 30 and rounded lower corners 32. Each of the panels 18 has a uniform size and shape. A height of each of the panels 18 is equal to a width of each of the panels 18 wherein the geometric shape 22 is a square cube. A distance from the open end 14 to the closed end 16 of the yard debris bag 12 is greater than the height of each of the panels 18 wherein the yard debris bag 12 is foldable over and into the open top side 24 of the geometric shape 22. A respective junction 36 between each of the adjacently positioned panels 18 in the series is a living hinge 46. Each living hinge 46 is formed by a groove 66 extending along a length of the junction 36. A cross-sectional shape of each groove 66 transverse to a length of the groove 66 has an arcuate medial section 50 and a pair of outwardly extending barbs 52 positioned at respective ends 54 of the arcuate medial section 50.
  • In use, the panels 18 are inserted into the open end 14 of the yard debris bag 12. The panels 18 are unfolded and arranged to form the geometric shape 22 inside the yard debris bag 12. The open end 14 of the yard debris bag 12 is then folded back into the open top side 24 of the geometric shape 22 securing the yard debris bag 12 in an open position. When sufficiently filled, the open end 14 of the yard debris bag 12 is removed form the geometric shape 22 and the panels 18 are removed from the yard debris bag 12 leaving collected debris in the yard debris bag 12. The panels 18 are then re-used or may be folded into a storage position 44 as shown in FIG. 2.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
