Abstract
A yard debris bag support device supports a yard debris bag in an open position. The device includes a yard debris bag and a plurality of panels. Each of the panels has opposed laterals sides. The laterals sides of adjacently positioned panels are pivotally coupled together wherein the panels form a series of the panels foldable into a closed geometric shape having an open top side and an open bottom side. The panels are positionable in the yard debris bag such that the geometric shape supports the yard debris bag in an open position.
Description
- 1. Field of the Disclosure
- The disclosure relates to support devices and more particularly pertains to a new support device for supporting a yard debris bag in an open position.
- 2. SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a yard debris bag and a plurality of panels.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a top front side perspective view of a yard debris bag support device according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in a folded position. -
FIG. 3 is an exploded top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use. -
FIG. 4 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a top front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure in use. -
FIG. 6 is a detailed top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new support device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , the yard debrisbag support device 10 generally comprises ayard debris bag 12 having anopen end 14 and a closedend 16. - Each of a plurality of
panels 18 has opposedlaterals sides 20. Thelaterals sides 20 of adjacently positionedpanels 18 are pivotally coupled together wherein thepanels 18 form a series of thepanels 18 foldable into a closedgeometric shape 22 having anopen top side 24 and anopen bottom side 26. Thepanels 18 are positionable in theyard debris bag 12 such that thegeometric shape 22 supports theyard debris bag 12 in anopen position 28. Each of thepanels 18 has roundedupper corners 30 and roundedlower corners 32. Each of thepanels 18 has a uniform size and shape. A height of each of thepanels 18 is equal to a width of each of thepanels 18 wherein thegeometric shape 22 is a square cube. A distance from theopen end 14 to the closedend 16 of theyard debris bag 12 is greater than the height of each of thepanels 18 wherein theyard debris bag 12 is foldable over and into theopen top side 24 of thegeometric shape 22. Arespective junction 36 between each of the adjacently positionedpanels 18 in the series is aliving hinge 46. Eachliving hinge 46 is formed by agroove 66 extending along a length of thejunction 36. A cross-sectional shape of eachgroove 66 transverse to a length of thegroove 66 has an arcuatemedial section 50 and a pair of outwardly extendingbarbs 52 positioned at respective ends 54 of the arcuatemedial section 50. - In use, the
panels 18 are inserted into theopen end 14 of theyard debris bag 12. Thepanels 18 are unfolded and arranged to form thegeometric shape 22 inside theyard debris bag 12. Theopen end 14 of theyard debris bag 12 is then folded back into theopen top side 24 of thegeometric shape 22 securing theyard debris bag 12 in an open position. When sufficiently filled, theopen end 14 of theyard debris bag 12 is removed form thegeometric shape 22 and thepanels 18 are removed from theyard debris bag 12 leaving collected debris in theyard debris bag 12. Thepanels 18 are then re-used or may be folded into astorage position 44 as shown inFIG. 2 . - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
