BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a hair styling to that rolls and secures hair rollers onto the hair with ease and comfort.
2. Description of Related Art
Hair rollers are a styling tool that has been used for years and by consumers all over the world. Some rollers are plastic with wire or plastic combs that help secure the hair around the barrel. By combining the rollers with hot air a curl is set into the hair to create a beautifully styled head of hair. Some more recent rollers are heated to automatically heat the hair once rolled around the barrel. The person then allows the roller to cool thereby setting the curl for the same fashionable effect.
Many times people have issue with hair rollers when having to wrap the hair around the hot roller. They may burn their hand or fingers if any portion of their skin is exposed and contacts the hottest portions of the roller. Additionally, the hair may kink or crimp if not quickly or properly combed out before rolling. This may be very damaging to the hair causing breakage and difficult styling. Due to these difficulties, many people finally resort to professional styling to prevent burning, damaging and distressing their own hair. But as they quickly find out, multiple trips to the stylists is very expensive and time consuming.
Therefore, it would be beneficial in the art to provide a styling tool that helps a user to roll their hair to create beautiful curls. It would also be desirable in the art to provide a hair styling tool that automatically curls the hair and sets a roller with ease.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the prior art, the general purpose of the present invention is to provide a hair rolling tool to automatically roll hair around a roller, configured to include all of the advantages of the prior art, and to overcome the drawbacks inherent therein.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a hair rolling tool that automatically rotates a hair roller to wrap a user's hair. A clip on a top plate of the tool is then attached over the hair roller to set the hair.
To achieve the above objects, in an aspect of the present invention, a hair rolling tool is described comprising a handle; a rotating barrel extending from the handle; a top plate extending from where the handle meets the rotating barrel, where the top plate moves up and down from the rotating barrel; a hair roller positioned on the rotating barrel, where the hair roller receives a length of hair; a clip secured against the top plate, where the clip attaches over the hair roller and the length of hair; and a plurality of activation buttons on the handle, where the plurality of activation buttons control the rotating barrel, and the top plate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention relates to a hair styling to that rolls and secures hair rollers onto the hair with ease and comfort. The present invention provides a hair roller tool to facilitate the process of roller setting hair. The hair roller tool is comprised of a rotating device that includes a handle and a rotating barrel. The barrel receives a hair roller to automatically wrap the hair and secure it with a clip. The rotating barrel ensures that the hair does not tangle or crimp while being wrapped around the roller. With the hair roller tool the user is afforded a unique device that assists in stress free and healthy hair styling.
Turning now descriptively to the drawings, referring to FIG. 1, a hair roller tool 100 is shown in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The hair roller tool 100 includes a rotating device comprised of a handle 102 and a rotating barrel 104. At a far end of the rotating barrel 104 is a tip 106. The tip 106 may provide a cool and stationary handle for the user to grasp while also gripping the handle 102. Positioned where the handle 102 meets the rotating barrel 104 is a top plate 108. The top plate 108 may move towards and away from the rotating barrel 104 while using the hair roller tool 100. The handle 102 may be made from plastic and may include a rubber outer layer for easy handling. The rotating barrel 104 may be metal or ceramic.
On the rotating barrel 104 a hair roller 110 is positioned, where the hair roller 110 receives the rotating barrel 104 through its center. The hair roller 110 includes a clip 112 that attaches to the top plate 108. The hair roller 110 may include a plurality of grooves 114 along the lateral edge and the clip 112 may include a pair of protrusions 116. The grooves 114 receive the protrusions 116 to enable the clip 112 to more securely fasten against the hair roller 110. A foam layer 118 a may rest along the inner portion of the clip 114 and another foam layer 118 b may rest around the hair roller 110 to protect the hair from crimping, burning or drying during use. The clip 112 may attach with a button 119 that snaps into the top plate 108. The clip 112 may detach with a release button on the top plate 108 or the handle 102. Alternatively, the clip 112 may be magnetic to easy attach to a metallic top plate 108. This way it attaches to the top plate 108 and is easily removed when the protrusions 116 of the clip 112 insert into the grooves 114 of the hair roller 110. The handle 102 may include a plurality of buttons that control the hair roller tool 100.
An activation button 120 may be used to control the top plate 108. The activation button 120 lowers and raises the top plate 108 to attach the clip 112 to the hair roller 110. The activation button 120 may also release the button 119 on the clip 112 to detach the clip 112 from the top plate 108. A pair of rolling buttons 122, 124 is positioned on the handle 102. A first button 122 may activate the rotating barrel to rotate clockwise. A second button 124 may activate the rotating barrel to rotate counterclockwise. This way once the hair is placed on the hair roller 110 the user simply presses the first button 122 to wrap the hair. If the hair needs to be unwound, the second button 124 is pressed to loosen or undo the roller 110. The second button 124 may also be used as the initial rotating direction depending on the direction of the curl the user desires. The hair rolling tool 100 may be powered electrically with a cord 130 and plug 132 that insert into a wall socket. On the other hand, the hair rolling tool 100 may be battery powered with a battery pack 126 within the handle 102.
To use the hair rolling tool 100 the user first threads the rotating barrel 104 through the hair roller 110. The clip 112 is then attached to the top plate 108. Next the user wraps a portion of hair around the hair roller 110 to initiate rolling. One of the pair of buttons 122, 124 is pressed to start the hair rolling onto the roller 110. The user may grip the handle 102 and the tip 106 while wrapping the roller 110 for greater stability and balance. Once the desired length of hair is wrapped around the roller, the activation button 120 is pressed to lower the clip 112 against the hair and roller 110. The release button 120 may be pressed to detach the clip 112 from the top plate 108. The activation button 120 is then pressed to lift the top plate 108 from the hair roller 110. The rotating barrel 104 is then removed to leave the hair roller 110 attached securely to the hair. With the hair roller tool 100 the user is provided a great styling tool that prevents burning and tangling of the hair while applying rollers to the hair.
The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A hair rolling tool comprising;

a. a handle;

b. a rotating barrel extending from the handle;

c. a top plate extending from where the handle meets the rotating barrel, where the top plate moves up and down from the rotating barrel;

d. a hair roller positioned on the rotating barrel, where the hair roller receives a length of hair;

e. a clip secured against the top plate, where the clip attaches over the hair roller and the length of hair; and

f. a plurality of activation buttons on the handle, where the plurality of activation buttons control the rotating barrel, and the top plate.

2. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the clip includes a button to attach the clip to the top plate.

3. The hair rolling tool according to claim 2, where the button is released from the top plate with a release button.

4. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the clip attaches to the top plate magnetically.

5. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where one of the plurality of buttons is an activation button to move the top plate away and towards the rotating barrel.

6. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the plurality of buttons include a first button and a second button, where the first button rotates the rotating barrel in a clockwise direction and the second button rotates the rotating barrel in a counterclockwise direction.

7. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the hair roller includes a plurality of grooves around a lateral edge and where the clip includes a pair of protrusions, where the plurality of grooves receive the pair of protrusions to secure the clip against the hair roller.

8. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the handle includes a battery pack.

9. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the handle includes a cord and plug to power the hair rolling tool electronically.

10. The hair rolling tool according to claim 1, where the rotating handle includes a tip, where the tip remains cool and stationary during use.

11. A method of use for a hair rolling tool comprising the steps of:

a. positioning a hair roller on a rotating barrel;

b. fastening a clip to a top plate above the rotating barrel;

c. wrapping a portion of hair around the hair roller;

d. pressing a first button to initiate rolling the rotating barrel, thereby wrapping the hair around the hair roller;

e. releasing the clip onto the hair and the hair roller; and

f. removing the rotating barrel from the hair roller.

12. The method of use for the hair rolling tool according to claim 11, further comprising the step of pressing an activation button to lower the top plate against the hair roller.

13. The method of use for the hair rolling tool according to claim 11, further comprising the step of pressing a release button to release the clip from the top plate.

14. The method of use for the hair rolling tool according to claim 11, further comprising the step of holding a tip of the rotating barrel, where the tip remains stationary while the rotating barrel wraps the hair.
