Abstract

A piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, characterized by comprising a spring (2) which extends, in a continuous manner, along a direction of development (10), a series of ornamental elements (3) slidably engageable with the spring along this developmental direction (10) and locking means of the ornamental elements (3, 103) so that, at each elastic deformation of the spring (2) from an initial position, corresponding to the conformation of rest of said spring (2), said ornamental elements (3) are substantially blocked in the initial position.

Description

  • The present invention relates to a piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry.
  • In the current state of the art, are commercially available jewelry and jewelry parts which provide a core capable of elastic deformation from the initial rest position and capable of returning to the initial position or to a shape that fits to the wrist, ankle or the neck of the user.
  • However, these devices have the inherent problems associated with the wear of the elastic itself and its theoretical life span. The elastic, in fact, after a number of deformation cycles depending on the quality of the material with which it is made, yields and breaks.
  • Furthermore, because of the sharp surfaces of the jewelry, this theoretical life span is even shorter and therefore even products with elastics of excellent workmanship break with ease.
  • Another drawback of this type of article of jewelry, silverware and costume jewelry, is the fact that, since the elastic can not be welded, but only integrally fixed to at least a portion of the workpiece, is less versatile, gives further problems during of manufacturing, can not sold as chainware, and can not be easily repaired.
  • The aim of the invention is to eliminate the drawbacks noted above in known types of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, which allows to obtain a piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry elastically deformable that is more resistant, especially resistant to wear, compared to prior art.
  • Within the above scope, an objective of the present invention is to provide a piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, which can be manufactured in a more simple and economic way.
  • Another objective to the present invention is to allow a fast and easy repair in the event of accidental breakage.
  • Another purpose of the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, according to the invention, is to permit the marketing as chains, so that it is cheaper, more easily sold and can be freely chosen by the buyer who can offer any length of chain.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a closure device for chains, bracelets, necklaces, wrist watches and the like, with is readily available commercially and using materials in common use, so that the device is economically competitive.
  • This aim, these objects and others which will become apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, characterized by comprising a spring which extends in a continuous manner along a direction of development, a series of ornamental elements slidably engageable with said spring along said direction of development and locking means of said ornamental elements so that, at each elastic deformation of said spring from an initial position corresponding to the conformation of rest of said spring, said ornamental elements are substantially blocked in the initial position.
  • Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description of a preferred embodiment but not exclusive of the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, illustrated by way of non-limitative example in the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry 1 is an exploded view drawing;
  • FIG. 2 represents the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry 1 in sectional elevation;
  • FIG. 3 represents the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry 101 in sectional elevation.
  • With reference to the figures, the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, according to the invention, which is identified as a whole with reference numeral 1 and 101, has the fundamental characteristic to comprise a spring 2 which develops in a continuous manner along a direction of development 10, a series of ornamental elements 3 and 103, for example in the shape of spheres, slidably engageable with the spring along the development direction 10 and locking means of ornamental elements 3 and 103 so that, to each elastic deformation suffered by the spring 2 from the initial position corresponding to the conformation of the rest of the spring 2, the ornamental elements 3 and 103 remain substantially blocked in the initial position.
  • Advantageously, each of the ornamental elements 3 (and 103) has a through hole 4 (and 104) for the passage and accommodation of the spring 2.
  • Advantageously, the ornamental elements 3 (and 103) are shaped in one single piece.
  • The ornamental elements 3 (and 103) may be a metal material.
  • With reference to the attached figures, the ornamental elements 3 (and 103) are spheroidal and include an internal recess defined by one outer thickness 9 (and 109).
  • In a first embodiment, the locking means comprise a succession of locking supports 5 interposed between the spring 2 and the ornamental elements 3, and in part within the outer thickness 9.
  • Even the locking supports 5 may be made of metal.
  • Preferably, the locking supports 5 have at least one cavity
  • In the embodiment represented in FIGS. 1 and 2, these supports 5 are small tubes 5 which present an inner cavity 8 of passage and housing for the spring 2.
  • Preferably, each of the tubes 5 has at its ends a right side thickness 6 and a left side thickness 7 of the block, for the sliding of ornamental elements 3 respectively along the clockwise direction and the counterclockwise direction of the development direction 10.
  • With reference to FIG. 1, it can be expected that the diameter of the section substantially normal to the direction 10 of the thicknesses 6:07 is greater than the minimum diameter of the through hole 4. In practice, the right thickness 6 and the left thickness 7 both have a diameter “D” greater than the minimum diameter “d” of the hole 4.
  • In the case where the through hole 4—which may take any Conformation—is not cylindrical in shape with circular base, but for example cylindrical with a rectangular base, in this case “d” will be the minimum distance between the two parallel sides closer to the rectangular base.
  • Another embodiment provides for the ornamental elements 103, having an internal recess 109 and a through hole 104,
  • Another embodiment 101, depicted in FIG. 3, provides that the locking means for the ornamental elements 103 comprise a right bending piece 106 and a left bending piece 107 of the thickness 109, respectively along the right peripheral edge and along the left peripheral edge of the through hole 104. Each of the right and left bending pieces 106 and 107 interferes with two successive coils of the spring 2.
  • In this second solution, the locking means are positioned directly on the ornamental elements 103 (which are virtually integrated) and therefore the jewelry 101 will be more simple to realize and lighter than jewelry 1 (and therefore, in the case of chainware in precious metals, making them much more competitive).
  • A first method of production of the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry 1 consisting in the steps of:
      • positioning a spring 2 within a first elongated tubular element, for example a metallic material,
      • cutting the first elongated tubular element at regular intervals so as to obtain a series of small tubes 5, free to slide on the spring 2,
      • pressing the tubes 5 so as to form, on each of them, at least a thickness of predefined diameter “D”,
      • placing the spring 2 and the tubes 5 inside a second elongated tubular element, also preferably made of metal,
      • forming the second elongated tubular element to obtain an alternating series of shapings and bottlenecks at regular intervals, in practice each of these shapings must be preceded and followed by a constriction (and vice versa). Each bottleneck has, in its interior, a light to measure “d” less than the measure of the diameter “D” of the thickness of the tubes 5, so that this second elongated tubular element thus formed is substantially blocked when the spring 2 is deformed from its initial position, an
      • cutting the first elongated tubular element in correspondence to the bottlenecks, so as to obtain a series of ornamental elements 3.
  • Advantageously, the method comprises the step of pressing, on the ends of each of the tubes 5, a right thickness 6 and a left thickness 7 of diameter “D” default.
  • Preferably, the forming of the second elongated tubular element is done to obtain a series of elements substantially spheroidal.
  • This first method allows the realization of the article represented in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • Another method of production of a piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry that allow the production of the variant 101, shown in FIG. 3, consisting in the steps of:
      • positioning a spring 2 having a default diameter within a tubular element,
      • forming an elongated tubular element, preferably of metallic material, to obtain a series of alternate shapes, at regular intervals, with a number of constrictions. each of the bottlenecks is made in the portion defined between two successive shapes,
      • cutting this elongated tubular element in correspondence to the bottlenecks, so as to obtain a series of ornamental elements 103 having a right and a left cutting side and a cutting side, and
      • folding the first tubular element thus formed along the peripheral edge of the right cut and along the peripheral edge of the left cut, to define, on the surface of the right element 103, a right opening and a left opening. These openings are respectively defined by a right bend 106 and a left bend 107, that have dimensions less than the measure of the diameter of the default spring 2, so as to prevent movement of the element 103 relatively to the spring 2 when the spring 2 is deformed from its initial position.
  • Once the chain with the first or the second procedure is realized, the ends of the spring 2 are fixed at the two extreme parts of the closure chosen, to be mounted on the article 1 or 101.
  • From the above description it is thus evident that the invention achieves the intended aim and objectives, and in particular it is emphasized that there is provided a piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, that is more resistant, compared to prior art.
  • In particular the realization of the internal structure made of locking supports helps its resistance to daily use.
  • Another advantage of the invention is given by the fact that the piece of jewelry, silver and costume jewelry, can be manufactured in a very simple and economic way.
  • Also, the article of jewelry made using this technique, allows a fast and an easy repair, in case of accidental breakage
  • Furthermore, since the buyer who can offer any length of chain, a product like that it is cheaper and more easily sold.
  • Not least, the use of means readily available commercially and the use of common materials, make the device economically competitive.
  • The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all falling within the inventive concept.
  • Furthermore all the details may be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.
  • In practice, the materials employed, as well as the dimensions, may be any according to the requirements, provided they are consistent with the aim embodiment.
