Abstract
A hat shaping assembly for being inserted into a hat such that the hat is retained in a round shape includes a panel that may be removably coupled to the hat. The panel is positionable within an interior of the hat so the panel is coextensive with a bill of the hat. A top edge of the panel curves downwardly toward each end of the panel. The panel is wing shaped.
Description
- The disclosure relates to shaping assemblies and more particularly pertains to a new shaping assembly for being inserted into a hat such that the hat is retained in a round shape.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a panel that may be removably coupled to a hat. The panel is positionable within an interior of the hat so the panel is coextensive with a bill of the hat. A top edge of the panel curves downwardly toward each end of the panel. The panel is wing shaped.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a hat shaping assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a front in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 5 is a left side in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 6 is a schematic view of a method of utilizing an embodiment of the disclosure. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new shaping assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 6 , thehat shaping assembly 10 generally comprises apanel 12 that has afirst end 14 and asecond end 16. Thepanel 12 is elongated between the first 14 and second 16 ends. Atop edge 18 of thepanel 12 curves downwardly between acenter 20 of thepanel 12 and each of the first 14 and second 16 ends of thepanel 12. Thepanel 12 is wing shaped. Each of the first 14 and second 16 ends of thepanel 12 are rounded. - A
bottom edge 22 of thepanel 12 has afirst slot 24 extending upwardly therein. Thefirst slot 24 is centrally positioned on thebottom edge 22 of thepanel 12. Thepanel 12 is bendable. Moreover, thepanel 12 forms a U-shape along a lateral axis extending between each of the first 14 and second 16 ends of thepanel 12 when thepanel 12 is bent. - The
top edge 18 of thepanel 12 has a plurality ofsecond slots 26 extending downwardly therein. The plurality ofsecond slots 26 on thetop edge 18 of thepanel 12 are evenly spaced apart. Additionally, the plurality ofsecond slots 26 on thetop edge 18 of thepanel 12 are centrally positioned on thetop edge 18 of thepanel 12. Each of anoutermost pair 28 of the plurality ofsecond slots 26 are positioned closer to thecenter 20 of thepanel 12 than an associated one of the first 14 and second 16 ends of thepanel 12. - The
panel 12 is positionable between asweatband 30 of ahat 32 and agore 34 of thehat 32. Each of the first 14 and second 16 ends of thepanel 12 are positioned proximate an associated one of a firstlateral edge 36 and a secondlateral edge 38 of abill 40 of thehat 32. Thehat 32 may be a baseball cap of any conventional design. Thepanel 12 retains thegore 34 of thehat 32 in a rounded shape. - In use, a
method 42 of retaining thehat 32 in a rounded shape includes astep 44 of providing thepanel 12 with the first 14 and second 16 ends and thebottom edge 22 and thehat 32 that has thesweatband 30, thebill 40 and thegore 34. Themethod 42 further includes astep 46 of positioning thepanel 12 between thesweatband 30 and thegore 34 of thehat 32. Thebottom edge 22 of thepanel 12 is positioned adjacent to thebill 40 of thehat 32. Thepanel 12 retains thegore 34 of thehat 32 in a rounded shape. Finally, themethod 42 includes astep 48 of removing thepanel 12 from thehat 32 when thehat 32 is to be worn. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure.
