Description
- The present application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 14/071,023, filed on Nov. 4, 2013, and entitled “Unfoldable Portable Pet Bag”, presently pending.
- Not applicable.
- Not applicable.
- Not applicable.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to a kind of containing bag, and more particularly to a kind of portable containing bag in an innovative structural form disclosed, which has an expandable form and function.
- 2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98.
- Containing bags are common items in people's daily life. However, the containing bag products currently available in the market are typically made for a single function of containing articles and usually compressible into flat shape patterns when they are not used for the convenience of storage. In addition, the conventional containing bag products do not have other additional functional values, making them imperfect.
- As far as pet supplies are concerned, the container products currently used to contain and carry the pets always occupy a considerable share in the market for many pet owners prefer small-sized pets (such as small dogs and cats) and often take these pets out. Once the environment of the pet owners is not suitable for pets to walk around, the pet owners must use some portable pet containers to contain the pets temporarily. Said portable pet container in terms of the conventional structure is generally in the form of cage, box or bag. These structural forms are basically made into certain cage, box or bag forms with an opening reserved on the top usually for the pet owner to put in or take out the pet. However, upon investigation, some problems and shortcomings in the structure of these conventional portable pet containers are found in the actual application experience. For example, the top of a conventional portable pet container, whether in the form of a cage, box or bag, is usually designed into a tapered form in order to reduce the volume to a minimum form so that the pet owner can carry it by hand or on back conveniently. But in this way, the phenomenon of undersized opening is often resulted by the top opening causing the stuck and unsmooth problems when the pet owner puts in or takes out the pet, such as the problems and disadvantages like the pet's legs being stuck in the opening when it is put into the container or it being uneasy for the pet owner to put the hand through the opening to take out the pet. Furthermore, a pet once being stuck and experiencing the consequent discomfort or injury would often has the problem of resisting using the pet container again in the future, thereby causing troubles to the pet owner.
- On the other hand, since the conventional portable pet containers are all made into the stereo structural forms like the cage, box or bag, there exist the problems and shortcomings like being inconvenient for cleaning and difficult for drying in the event that the residual pet filth inside the container needs to be cleaned due to the presence of multiple internal corners. Also, because of the pet's custom to rest at the locations with the familiar smell, the pet owner usually needs to prepare a special floor mat on which the pet could sit and lie, thus resulting in the quite troublesome problem and shortcoming of needing to carry the floor mat in addition to the pet container.
- Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement if the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve the efficacy.
- Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.
- The “expandable portable containing bag” disclosed in the present invention is to utilize the innovative and unique structural form and technical features constituted mainly by said bearing plate section, expandable peripheral side section, eyelet holes, control draw cords, bendable sections and pull control and carry section to enable the present invention, against the prior art mentioned conventional structure, to provide a kind of new portable containing bag form that can be expanded. It can be directly used as the pet's resting mat or the mat for people for the purpose of playing, resting and warming when it is at the expanded state and has the advantage of easy cleaning, thus having significantly improved the practicability and advancement of the containing bag product in terms of the usage function and value.
- Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

FIGS. 1 to 4 for the preferred embodiments of the expandable portable containing bag of the present invention. These embodiments are for illustrative purpose only and the patent application is not restricted by this structure. Said portable containing bag A comprises the following components below. - A
bearing plate section 10 is provided in the plate-like body form with a set bearing strength (note: it could be in the form of plastic plate, wood board and cardboard covered with the re-composited surface cloth material), and thebearing plate section 10 is at a horizontal use state. - An expandable
peripheral side section 20 is connected to the external periphery of thebearing plate section 10 and in a circular enclosure form. The expandableperipheral side section 20 can be selected to the horizontally expanded state or vertically folded state relative to thebearing plate section 10. Moreover, the expandableperipheral side section 20 has severalbendable sections 21 so that the expandableperipheral side section 20 at the vertically folded state could be gathered together to form a vertical frame enclosure body form (as shown inFIG. 1 ) and form a box body form and a containing space 22 (as shown inFIG. 1 ) with thebearing plate section 10. -
Several eyelet holes 30 are located at the two alternatively opposite side areas of the expandableperipheral side section 20 in an alternative distribution status (as shown inFIG. 2 ). Eacheyelet hole 30 is arranged and distributed along the direction the periphery of the expandableperipheral side section 20 extends. - At least one control draw
cord 40 passes through theeyelet holes 30 arranged at the two at least alternatively opposite side areas of the expandableperipheral side section 20 and thebendable sections 21 in an alternative manner. Saidcontrol draw cord 40 must have at least two positioning ends 41 (marked inFIG. 3 ) fixed at the two internal locations of the expandableperipheral side section 20. - Two pull control and carry
sections 50 are formed by the sections between the twoeyelet holes 30 at the two opposite locations of thecontrol draw cords 40. The expandableperipheral side section 20 at the vertically folded state could be pulled upwards through the two pull control and carry sections 50 (as shown by the arrow L1 inFIGS. 4 and 5 ) so that the expandableperipheral side section 20 could be gathered together in a vertical frame enclosure body form. Meanwhile, the two pull control and carrysections 50 can be used by the user to carry the bag. - As shown in
FIGS. 2 and 3 , thebearing plate section 10 is in a rectangular planar shape. The expandableperipheral side section 20 is in a form constituted by plate bodies. The expandableperipheral side section 20 is connected with the periphery of thebearing plate section 10 by a flexible connectingedge 60; thebendable sections 21 in the tridentate pre-creased line form are arranged at the four corner regions of the expandableperipheral side section 20 respectively, through which the expandableperipheral side section 20 is divided the alternatively opposite twoside plate sections 23 and twoend plate sections 24 with different lengths and areas; through the bending change of each tridentatebendable section 21, the sections between theside plate sections 23 andend plate sections 24 could be made into a vertically folded state and gathered together to form a rectangular vertical frame enclosure body form. Thecontrol draw cords 40 are two cords passing through the twoside plate sections 23 and the eyelet holes 30 located at their adjacent two corner regions respectively; the twoend plate sections 24 are not provided with the eyelet holes 30. The two positioning ends 41 of thecontrol draw cord 40 are fixed onto their two corner regions respectively. The section between the twoeyelet holes 30 provided for the twoside plate sections 23 constitutes said pull control and carrysection 50. It needs to be supplemented that the actual realization of saidbendable section 21 could be achieved by way of the hypersonic heatseal or thread sewing methods, which can be determined by the practitioners based on the material of the portable containing bag A. - As shown in
FIGS. 2 and 3 , wherein the twoend plate sections 24 can be formed with the inverted V-shapedpre-creased lines 241 so that the expandableperipheral side section 20 can be made at a vertically folded state. The upper ends of the twoend plate sections 24 could be closed and folded into a necking state (as shown inFIG. 5 ). - Wherein, the expandable
peripheral side section 20 can also be in a form constituted by the flexible planar material (such as the woven cloth, canvas, soft rubber sheet, etc.). Saidbendable section 21 is in a non-neat creased form formed by utilizing the own flexibility of the expandableperipheral side section 20. (Note: The figure for this embodiment is omitted.) - Wherein, the pull control and carry
section 50 can be in a length form of the carrying belt or back strap type. The pull control and carrysection 50 as shown inFIG. 6 is the embodiment of the length form of the carrying belt type. The pull control and carrysection 50B as shown inFIG. 7 is the embodiment of the length form of the back strap type. - Through the design constituted by the aforementioned structures, in the actual application of the expandable portable containing bag A disclosed by the present invention, the expandable
peripheral side section 20 can be selected to the horizontally expanded state (as shown inFIG. 3 ) or vertically folded state (as shown inFIG. 1 ) relative to thebearing plate section 10. With the changeable functions and features of this form, the expandableperipheral side section 20 at the horizontally expanded state can be used as a floor mat for the resting of the pet. When the pet owner wants to carry the pet out, the pet owner only needs to let the pet enter into (or put into) the location of the bearing plate section 10 (as shown inFIG. 3 ). Then, through the up-pulling movement of said pull control and carry sections 50 (as shown by the arrow L1 inFIGS. 4 and 5 ), the expandableperipheral side section 20 could be gathered together rapidly into a vertical frame enclosure body form to contain the pet in it. By then, as shown inFIG. 6 , the pet owner can use the up-pulled pull control and carrysections 50 to carry up the portable containing bag A containing the pet. - Wherein, the positioning ends 41 of the
control draw cord 40 could be in the implementation form (as shown inFIG. 8 ) fixed onto the expandableperipheral side section 20 by way of the sewn threads, or in the implementation form as the positioning ends 41 shown inFIG. 9 fixed onto the expandableperipheral side section 20 by way of the rope knotting. - As shown in
FIG. 10 , wherein the surface of thebearing plate section 10 can even be provided with thegame pattern 70. Saidgame pattern 70 includes any of the following kind: the checkerboard pattern (such as Chinese chess, checkers, go, Chinese draughts, etc.), the Monopoly pattern and so on. - As shown in
FIG. 11 , wherein one location of the expandableperipheral side section 20 can even be provided with anarticle containing bag 80 to containing the articles (such as the pet utensils or other small articles). One side of thearticle containing bag 80 could be connected to the edge of the expandableperipheral side section 20 so that the containingbag 80 could be lifted up and swung to the inner side or outer side of the expandable peripheral side section 20 (as shown by arrow L2) to meet the needs of various users. This structural design is made in considering that when the portable containing bag A is used for accommodating a pet, thearticle containing bag 80 can be lifted up and swung to the outer side of the expandableperipheral side section 20 to prevent from it being damaged by the pet by biting and grabbing. - The expandable
peripheral side section 20 of the expandable portable containing bag A disclosed by the present invention has the functions and features of being able to be selected to the horizontally expanded state or vertically folded state. At the horizontally expanded state, in addition to having the aforementioned function of being used as a floor mat for the resting of the pet, it can also be used as a mat for the children to play on the ground, a warm mat in the cold weather or a mat for temporary rest for the people at the outdoor picnic and an article containing bag directly. - Whether it is used as the mat for children's playing or the mat for resting at the picnic as mentioned before, the portable containing bag A of the present invention has a fairly significant benefit, which is that when the user wants to gather up the articles (such as toys, clothes, containers, etc.) on top of it, as shown in
FIG. 12 , it only needs to pull upwards the pull control and carry section 50 (as shown by the arrow L1), then the expandableperipheral side section 20 could be gathered together rapidly into a vertical frame enclosure body form and the articles could be collected together, stored and carried away (as shown by the arrow L3), hence, bringing great convenience to the people in application. - And as shown in
FIG. 13 , wherein the back of thebearing plate section 10 and the expandableperipheral side section 20 is connected with an anti-slip layer 90 (It can be made of the TPU material or other non-slip material) to provide the portable containing bag A with the anti-slip function when it is expanded on the ground for use so as to prevent from the slipping accident when people step on it. - It needs to be added that the expandable
peripheral side section 20 can be provided with the air holes (The figure is omitted.), thus improving the air permeability during the pet is carried in the case that the portable containing bag A is used as a resting mat for the pet.
