Definitions

  • Potty Mitts will be disposable, non-latex mittens designed to help prevent young children from coming into contact with common germs and bacteria that harvest in restrooms. Things like E. coli, hepatitis A, and the common cold all live in restrooms especially on the toilets. Moreover, many young children who are potty training or new to using a restroom tend to touch the toilet out of curiosity, and/or as a way of supporting themselves while sitting on it. Potty Mitts will be geared towards those young children ages 1-5 years old that are in the early stages of learning bathroom etiquette. Potty Mitts will be applied to a child's hands before they use the restroom as a means of providing a barrier from the different illness causing germs and bacteria.
  • Potty Mitts will come in easy-to-carry packaging so they can be used at home or most importantly in public restrooms. Moreover, although Potty Mitts will be geared toward potty training children ages 1-5, they can also be used for children of all ages. Furthermore, Potty Mitts can be used for purposes other than restroom usage, such as for children who are hospitalized or during different nursery/preschool activities. With the invention of the disposable, non-latex children Potty Mitts we hope to provide another safeguard for parents looking to protect their children from different illness causing germs they may come into contact with.

Abstract

Exhibit A-Main Fingers Compartment
This is where the child's main four fingers will be placed when putting the mittens on. This section helps protect the main fingers from different germs while the child holds him/herself up on the toilet seat.
Exhibit B-Thumb Compartment
This is where the child's thumb will be placed when putting the mittens on. This section allows additional protection and support for the child while he/she positions themselves on the toilet seat.
Exhibit C-Brim/Opening
This is where the child inserts the hand to put mittens on. Helps secure mittens on the child's hands.
Exhibit D-Mitten Properties
Polyisoprene is the natural rubber alternative that the mittens will be made of. The mittens will be worn by young children when using the toilet as a means of protecting them from germs that live on toilet seats.
Exhibit E & F-Grippers
The grippers provide the mittens with slip-resistant support.

Description

  • Potty Mitts will be disposable, non-latex mittens designed to help prevent young children from coming into contact with common germs and bacteria that harvest in restrooms. Things like E. coli, hepatitis A, and the common cold all live in restrooms especially on the toilets. Likewise, Figures D, E, and F show the right Potty Mitt with Figure D being the right side view, Figure E being the right palm view, and Figure F being the right front/top view. 1. The invention claimed is disposable, non-latex children mittens that will be used as a sanitary method of protecting children from the different illness causing germs and bacteria they may come in contact with when using both in-home and public restrooms.
