Abstract

This invention is an oil moisturizing comb is disclosed. There are no similar inventions to date. The oil from the comb only dispenses when there is pressure applied to it which allow the oil to come out more evenly, neatly, and controllably, thus saving time and effort.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Problem Solved
  • This invention allows you to apply oil neatly, evenly, and directly onto your entire scalp within seconds.
  • From what I can tell the oils or liquids flow down freely with very little limitations.
  • There are no similar inventions to date. The oil from the comb only dispenses when there is pressure applied to it which allow the oil to come out more evenly, neatly, and controllably, thus saving time and effort.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The concept of the “MOC” is a handheld tool that would be used to dispense oil onto the hair and the scalp evenly and without mess. This hairstyling tool, if manufactured, could be used by male and female consumers.
  • The “MOC” consists of a large handled comb that would contain moisturizing oil. The comb could be easily filled using a screw-on cap. A series of roll-on/rolling balls would be located on the teeth and would dispense the product onto the scalp.
  • The “MOC” would provide the individual with a neat and timesaving method of nourishing the hair and scalp. The handheld tool, measuring 2.559 inches high, 9.394 inches long, and the width varies from .354 inches to .787 inches as shown in FIG. 8, could be produced from plastic and in various sizes and colors. The cap, measuring 1.1 inches high, and 1.375 inches long as shown in FIG. 9, could be produced from plastic and in various sizes and colors.

  • FIG. 9 is an exploded view of the dimensions of the oil moisturizing comb from the perspective of a user according to one embodiment.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • As stated above, this invention allows you to apply oil neatly, evenly, and directly onto your entire scalp within seconds. The invention claimed here solves this problem.
  • With this invention you don't have to part you hair in order to put the oil on your scalp and you don't have to figure out how you are going to get the oil out of the bottle to put directly on to your scalp. The disbursement of oil is under control so there is no leakage or over spillage.
  • The claimed invention differs from what currently exists. None of the other oil dispensing combs have a mechanical device at the tips of their teeth.
  • This invention is an improvement on what currently exists. None of the other oil dispensing combs have a mechanical device at the tips of their teeth.
  • There's no stoppage to the oil which means you are using more oil than desired. These devices dispense the oil unevenly which means you get more oil on the hair than desired.
  • There are no similar inventions to date. The oil from the comb only dispenses when there is pressure applied to it which allow the oil to come out more evenly, neatly, and controllably, thus saving time and effort.
  • The Version of The Invention Discussed Here Includes:
  • 1. 1 comb
  • 2. Roll on ball=the amount of teeth on the comb
  • 3. 1 screw on cap
  • Relationship Between The Components:
  • The roll on balls (2) are attached to the end of the comb's (1) teeth (2) and the screw on cap screws on at the end of the comb's (1) handle.
  • How The Invention Works:
  • The comb (1) is a toothed device used for styling, cleaning and managing hair and scalp. The roll on ball (2) prevents leakage and releases oil, perfume, etc. that are normally stored in tubes or containers, by tapping the ball onto your skin.
  • Screw-on cap (3) is a common type of closure for bottles, jars, and tubes.
  • Integrating these components together would allow you to put the oil of your choice into the comb, apply the oil onto your scalp without any leakage or spillage.
  • How To Make The Invention:
  • Assemble the comb and the roll-on ball fitments at the end of each tooth together as described above. Fill the receptacle with oil of your choice and screw on cap at the end of the comb's handle.
  • All elements are necessary. An electric moisturizing oil comb would be ideal for a hot oil treatment. Making the invention into an electrical device or a battery operated device would cause the invention to perform an identical or similar function, as well as changing the shape and size of the comb and roll on balls.
  • How To Use The Invention:
  • To use the invention one would need to fill it with oil of his/her choice up to the indicator, screw on the cap. Then use the comb to apply oil to the scalp from front to back or however so desire. Application
