Abstract

A children's utensil kit is disclosed. The children's utensil kit includes a plurality of utensils that include a child-sized knife, a child-sized fork, a child-sized spoon, a pair of child-sized scissors and a pair of child-sized chopsticks. The children's utensil kit includes a zipper disposed on a perimeter of the children's utensil casing to prevent the utensils from falling out of an interior of the children's utensil casing. The zipper has a pull tab covered with an ergonomic rubber grip which may facilitate grasping the pull tab. The children's utensil kit may have a generally rounded rectangular-shaped, a generally rounded quarter oval-shaped, a generally rounded square-shaped, a generally rounded parallelogram-shape or be transparent.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to a utensil kit. More specifically, the invention is a children's utensil kit.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Some utensil kits include containers on the market that include a plastic box with a plastic hinge which may be easily broken. A broken hinge may render the wallets useless. What is needed is a utensil kit that includes a bi-fold, zippered wallet made of water-resistant exterior fabric with an interior nylon lining.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to a utensil kit. More specifically, the invention is a children's utensil kit.
An object of the present invention is to provide parents with a children's utensil kit with an easily accessible stainless-steel personal set of utensils for their children, all contained securely in a water-resistant zippered wallet. The present invention may be utilized for dining outside the home, such as at restaurants, at friends' or relatives' houses or other suitable venues. No more need to ask for plastic utensils at restaurants, the utensils from the children's utensils kit are reusable again and again, saving the planet from environmental waste. The utensil set is also child-sized, making feeding and eating easier, cleaner, and less stressful on a young child. No more embarrassment or fuss when a friend or relative does not have suitable utensils for young children at their home. Perfect for traveling on the road, boat, or airplane, the children's utensils kit may always be on hand without taking-up a lot of storage space. Other utensil holders include plastic containers that must be separated into two pieces in order to access the utensils. Unfortunately, once a parent or child has lost a piece, the children's utensils holder is useless.
Inside the wallet, on one side, there are elastic straps and fabric pockets that individually secure each of the utensils upright in the wallet, making sure that the utensils stay in place and are protected from jostling, dents, and damage. On the other side of the interior, there may be a mesh pocket for containing wipes or napkins. There is a zipper that zips around most of the perimeter of the wallet, making sure that no utensils may slip out into parents' diaper bags, carryalls or other unwanted areas.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention however, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
The phrase “in one embodiment” is used repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
FIG. 1 illustrates a front view of a children's utensil kit 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensil kit 100 may include a children's utensil casing 110, a zipper 120 and a silk ribbon loop 130. The children's utensil casing 110 illustrated in FIG. 1 is generally rounded rectangular-shaped 115 but may be any suitable shape. The children's utensil casing 110 may have an exterior surface 110 a, a perimeter 110 b, a top 110 c and an interior 112. The exterior surface 110 a may be made of water-resistant and non-toxic fabric or other suitable types of material. The exterior surface 110 a may also have any type of suitable ornamental design. The seams 114 may be hidden by fabric piping 114 a or other suitable material of piping. The zipper 120 may be disposed on the perimeter 110 b of the children's utensil kit to prevent a plurality of children's utensils (FIG. 5, 500) from falling out of the interior 112 of the children's utensil casing 110. The zipper 120 may have a pull tab 122 covered with an ergonomic rubber grip 124 which may facilitate grasping the pull tab 122 or other suitable pull tab. The fabric ribbon loop 130 may be coupled to the top 110 c of the children's utensil casing 110. The fabric ribbon loop 130 may serve as a handle to transport the children's utensil kit 100. The fabric ribbon loop 130 may be made of silk, satin or other suitable material. The children's utensil kit 100 may be approximately eight inches long, approximately six inches wide and approximately one and one half inches deep or any other suitable dimensions.
FIG. 2 illustrates a front view of a children's utensil kit 200, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensil kit 200 may include a children's utensil casing 210 illustrated in FIG. 2 that is generally rounded quarter oval-shaped 220 but may be any suitable shape. The children's utensil kit 200 may be approximately seven inches long, approximately five inches wide and approximately one and one half inches deep or any other suitable dimensions.
FIG. 3 illustrates a front view of a children's utensil kit 300, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensil kit 300 may include a children's utensil casing 310 illustrated in FIG. 3 that is generally rounded square-shaped 320 but may be any suitable shape. The children's utensil kit 300 may be approximately eight inches long, approximately six inches wide and approximately one and one half inches deep or any other suitable dimensions.
FIG. 4 illustrates a front view of a children's utensil kit 400, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensil kit 400 may include a children's utensil casing 410 illustrated in FIG. 4 that is generally rounded parallelogram-shape 420 but may be any suitable shape. The children's utensil kit 400 may be approximately eight inches long, approximately six inches wide and approximately one and one half inches deep or any other suitable dimensions.
FIG. 5 illustrates a front view of a plurality of children's utensils 500, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensils 500 may include a child-sized knife 510, a child-sized fork 520, a child-sized spoon 530, a pair of child-sized scissors 540 and a pair of child-sized chopsticks 550. The children's utensils 500 may be made of stainless steel or other suitable durable material.
FIG. 6 illustrates a front view of a transparent children's utensil kit 600, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The transparent children's utensil kit 600 may include a children's utensil casing 610 illustrated in FIG. 6 that is transparent that may allow objects contained in the children's utensil casing 610 to be seen from outside of the children's utensil casing 610. The children's utensil kit 600 may be approximately eight inches long, approximately six inches wide and approximately one and one half inches deep or any other suitable dimensions.
FIG. 7 illustrates a front view of an interior 700 a of a children's utensil kit 700, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensil kit 700 may include a bi-fold children's utensil casing 710, a plurality of stainless steel children's utensils 720, a zipper 730 and a silk ribbon loop 740.
The bi-fold children's utensil casing 710 may have an exterior surface 710 a, a perimeter 710 b, a top 710 c and an interior 712. The interior 712 may have a first side 712 a, a second side 712 b and a nylon interior lining 712 c secured together with a plurality of seams 714. The first side 712 a includes a plurality of elastic straps 716 disposed above a plurality of fabric pockets 718. The second side 712 b includes a mesh pocket 750 that contains one or more wipes 760 or one or more napkins 770.
The stainless steel children's utensils 720 may be contained in the interior 712 of the bi-fold children's utensil casing 710. The bi-fold children's utensil casing 710 illustrated in FIG. 7 has a generally rounded rectangular-shape 715 but may have any suitable shape. The stainless steel utensils 720 may be secured by the elastic straps 716 disposed above the fabric pockets 718. The stainless steel utensils 720 may include a child-sized knife 722, a child-sized fork 724, a child-sized spoon 726, a pair of child-sized scissors 728 and a pair of child-sized chopsticks 725. The zipper 730 may be disposed on the perimeter 710 b of the bi-fold children's utensil casing 710 to prevent the utensils 720 from falling out of the interior 712 of the bi-fold children's utensil casing 710. The zipper 730 may have a pull tab 732 covered with an ergonomic rubber grip 734. The silk ribbon loop 740 may be coupled to the top 710 c of the children's utensil casing 700. The silk ribbon loop 740 may serve as a handle to transport the children's utensil casing 700.
FIG. 8 illustrates a front view of an interior 800 a of a children's utensil kit 800, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The children's utensil kit 800 may include a bi-fold children's utensil casing 810, a plurality of stainless steel children's utensils 820, a zipper 830 and a silk ribbon loop 840.
The bi-fold children's utensil casing 810 may have an exterior surface 810 a, a perimeter 810 b, a top 810 c and an interior 812. The interior 812 may have a first side 812 a, a second side 812 b and a nylon interior lining 812 c secured together with a plurality of seams 814. The first side 812 a includes a plurality of elastic straps 816 disposed above a plurality of fabric pockets 818. The second side 812 b includes a mesh pocket 850 that contains one or more wipes 860 or one or more napkins 870.
The stainless steel children's utensils 820 may be contained in the interior 812 of the bi-fold children's utensil casing 810. The bi-fold children's utensil casing 810 illustrated in FIG. 8 has a generally rounded quarter oval-shape 815 but may have any suitable shape. The stainless steel utensils 820 may be secured by the elastic straps 816 disposed above the fabric pockets 818. The stainless steel utensils 820 may include a child-sized knife 822, a child-sized fork 824, a child-sized spoon 826, a pair of child-sized scissors 828 and a pair of child-sized chopsticks 825. The zipper 830 may be disposed on the perimeter 810 b of the bi-fold children's utensil casing 810 to prevent the utensils 820 from falling out of the interior 812 of the bi-fold children's utensil casing 810. The zipper 830 may have a pull tab 832 covered with an ergonomic rubber grip 834. The silk ribbon loop 840 may be coupled to the top 810 c of the children's utensil casing 800. The silk ribbon loop 840 may serve as a handle to transport the children's utensil casing 800.
While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A children's utensil kit, comprising:

a children's utensil casing having an exterior surface, a perimeter, a top and an interior, the interior having a first side, a second side and an interior lining, the children's utensil casing secured together with a plurality of seams;

a plurality of children's utensils contained in a plurality of pockets disposed on the interior of the children's utensil casing;

a zipper disposed on the perimeter of the children's utensil casing to prevent the utensils from falling out of the interior of the children's utensil casing; and

a ribbon loop coupled to the top of the children's utensil casing, the silk ribbon loop serves as a handle to transport the children's utensil casing.

2. The children's utensil kit according to claim 1, wherein the exterior surface is made of water-resistant and non-toxic fabric.

3. The children's utensil kit according to claim 1, wherein the first side includes a plurality of elastic straps disposed above the pockets to secure the utensils.

4. The children's utensil kit according to claim 1, wherein the interior lining is made of nylon.

5. The children's utensil kit according to claim 1, wherein the second side includes a mesh pocket that contains one or more wipes or one or more napkins.

6. The children's utensil kit according to claim 1, wherein the utensils include a knife, a fork, a spoon, a pair of scissors and a pair of chopsticks.

7. The children's utensil kit according to claim 6, wherein the utensils are made of stainless steel.

8. A children's utensil kit, comprising:

a bi-fold children's utensil casing having an exterior surface, a perimeter, a top and an interior, the interior having a first side, a second side and an interior lining secured together with a plurality of seams;

a plurality of stainless steel children's utensils contained in a plurality of fabric pockets disposed on the interior of the children's utensil casing;

a silk ribbon loop coupled to the top of the children's utensil casing, the silk ribbon loop serves as a handle to transport the children's utensil casing.

9. The children's utensil kit according to claim 8, wherein the exterior surface is made of water-resistant and non-toxic fabric.

10. The children's utensil kit according to claim 8, wherein the first side includes a plurality of elastic straps disposed above the fabric pockets to secure the utensils.

11. The children's utensil kit according to claim 8, wherein the interior lining is made of nylon.

12. The children's utensil kit according to claim 8, wherein the seams are hidden by fabric piping.

13. The children's utensil kit according to claim 8, wherein the second side includes a mesh pocket that contains one or more wipes or one or more napkins.

14. The children's utensil kit according to claim 8, wherein the utensils include a child-sized knife, a child-sized fork, a child-sized spoon, a pair of child-sized scissors and a pair of child-sized chopsticks.

15. A children's utensil kit, comprising:

a bi-fold children's utensil casing having an exterior surface, a perimeter, a top and an interior, the interior having a first side, a second side and a nylon interior lining secured together with a plurality of seams, wherein the first side includes a plurality of elastic straps disposed above a plurality of fabric pockets;

a plurality of stainless steel children's utensils contained in the interior of the children's utensil casing, the stainless steel utensils are secured by the elastic straps disposed above the fabric pockets;

a zipper disposed on the perimeter of the children's utensil casing to prevent the utensils from falling out of the interior of the children's utensil casing, the zipper having a pull tab covered with an ergonomic rubber grip; and

16. The children's utensil kit according to claim 15, wherein the exterior surface is made of water-resistant and non-toxic fabric.

17. The children's utensil kit according to claim 15, wherein the seams are hidden by fabric piping.

18. The children's utensil kit according to claim 15, wherein the second side includes a mesh pocket that contains one or more wipes or one or more napkins.

19. The children's utensil kit according to claim 15, wherein the utensils include a child-sized knife, a child-sized fork, a child-sized spoon, a pair of child-sized scissors and a pair of child-sized chopsticks.

20. The children's utensil kit according to claim 15, wherein the children's utensil casing is generally rounded rectangular-shaped, generally rounded quarter oval-shaped, generally rounded square-shaped, generally rounded parallelogram-shape or transparent.
