Description
- The disclosure relates to makeup application devices and more particularly pertains to a new makeup application device for facilitating application of makeup using one hand.
- An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an elongated tube having an interior space, a bottom end and a top end. A bottom opening extends through the bottom end of the tube. A chamber is positioned in the interior space and the chamber is positioned proximate the bottom end of the tube. A makeup material is positioned in the chamber. An elongated applicator is also positioned in the chamber. A button is coupled to and extends from the top end of the tube. A plunger extends between the button and the applicator, and the plunger also extends into the chamber. A dispensing aperture is positioned in the chamber. The applicator is extendable through the dispensing aperture. The dispensing aperture is positioned proximate the bottom end of the tube wherein the applicator is extendable from the bottom end of the tube when the button is manipulated.
- There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
- The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
- The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a bottom front side perspective view of a makeup applicator assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 2 is an exploded bottom front side perspective view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 3 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure. -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure taken along line 4-4 ofFIG. 3 . -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the disclosure similar toFIG. 4 but showing an extended position. - With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new makeup applicator assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by thereference numeral 10 will be described. - As best illustrated in
FIGS. 1 through 5 , themakeup applicator assembly 10 generally comprises anelongated tube 12 having aninterior space 14, abottom end 16 and atop end 18. Abottom opening 20 extends through thebottom end 16 of thetube 12. Achamber 22 is positioned in theinterior space 14. Thechamber 22 is positioned proximate thebottom end 16 of thetube 12. Amakeup material 24 is positioned in thechamber 22, with anelongated applicator 26 also being positioned in thechamber 22. Abutton 28 is coupled to and extends from thetop end 18 of thetube 12. Aplunger 30 extends between thebutton 28 and theapplicator 26. Theplunger 30 may also extends into thechamber 22. - A
dispensing aperture 32 is positioned in thechamber 22. Theapplicator 26 is extendable through thedispensing aperture 32. Thedispensing aperture 32 is positioned proximate thebottom end 16 of thetube 12 wherein theapplicator 26 is extendable from thebottom end 16 of thetube 12 when thebutton 28 is manipulated. Aseal 34 is coupled to thechamber 22 and theseal 34 covers thedispensing aperture 32. Theapplicator 26 is selectively extendable through theseal 34. Theseal 34 has anouter perimeter 36 coupled to aninterior surface 38 of thetube 12. Theseal 34 has aninner perimeter 40 defining acentral orifice 42 through which theapplicator 26 extends and retracts. Theseal 34 has a parabolic diametriccross-sectional shape 44. A plurality ofballs 46 may be positioned in thechamber 22 wherein theballs 46 agitate themakeup 24 within thechamber 22 when thechamber 22 is shaken. A plurality ofbristles 48 is coupled to and extends radially from theapplicator 26. An interior wall 50 is statically positioned in thetube 12 proximate thechamber 22. Theplunger 30 extends through the interior wall 50. Abiasing member 52 is positioned in thetube 12 and abuts the interior wall 50. Thebiasing member 52 is coupled to thebutton 28 wherein thebiasing member 52 urges thebutton 28 outwardly through thetop end 18 of thetube 12 and theapplicator 26 into a retractedposition 54. Themechanism 66 may work in the same fashion as extension and retraction mechanisms commonly used in a writing implement. - A
clip 56 is coupled to anexterior surface 58 of thetube 12. Aperimeter wall 60 defining thechamber 22 is positioned in thetube 12. Anend 62 of theperimeter wall 60 curves inwardly approaching thedispensing aperture 32. - In use, the
button 28 is manipulated to actuate theplunger 30 extending theapplicator 26.Makeup material 24 from thechamber 22 is held on thebristles 48 to be applied to a person such as on the eyelashes or another desired body part. Theballs 46 may be agitated within thechamber 22 prior to extension of theapplicator 26. Theapplicator 26 is retracted back into thechamber 22 by further manipulation of thebutton 28. Theseal 34 holds themakeup material 24 within thechamber 22 allowing theassembly 10 to be stored in a desired location until needed. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure.
