Definitions
- a personal training system that includes a set of resistance bands and customized handles to provide a full body workout from the comfort and privacy of home.
- Resistance bands are popular pieces of strength training equipment that allow individuals to build and tone their muscles with a simple elongated strap. Most resistance bands are made from a durable rubber strap or an elongated piece of elastic able to withstand repeated stretching and relaxing. Many people enjoy the convenience of utilizing the bands because they are easy to store and transport compared to conventional strengthening pieces like barbells, kettlebells or hand weights. Because they are basically a flexible, elongated strap, people can easily take the bands wherever they go for an instant workout.
- Some resistance bands include a handle to pull and release the strap.
- the handle allows the user to attach one end to a static structure and then hold the handle at the other end. This allows the users to manipulate the band back and forth while grasping the handle. While the handle is more convenient for the user than simply using the band, the handles do not allow for functional movements like kicks, punches or large swinging arm and leg movements. The user must continuously grasp the handle otherwise risk injury to themselves or surrounding items if control is lost in grip.
- the general purpose of the present invention is to provide a resistance band training system, configured to include all of the advantages of the prior art, and to overcome the drawbacks inherent therein.

Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- A personal training system that includes a set of resistance bands and customized handles to provide a full body workout from the comfort and privacy of home.
- 2. Description of Related Art
The handle allows the user to attach one end to a static structure and then hold the handle at the other end.
- It would be beneficial in the art to provide a resistance band training system that further allows for functional movements like punching and kicking It would also be desirable in the art to provide a resistance band training system that enables exchange between different handles for easy transition between exercises.
- In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the prior art, the general purpose of the present invention is to provide a resistance band training system, configured to include all of the advantages of the prior art, and to overcome the drawbacks inherent therein.
- Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a resistance band training system that includes multiple resistance bands and handles to allow the user to exchange between various exercises all in the convenience of the user's home.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a resistance band training system that allows a user to attach the resistance bands to the user rather than requiring them to grasp the handles.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a resistance band training system that allows attachment to a user's leg for lower body exercises.
- To achieve the above objects, in an aspect of the present invention, a resistance band training system is described comprising a set of resistance bands, where the set includes a resistance band with two attachment ends, one for a static structure and the other for a user to grasp; an elongated resistance band, where the elongated resistance band includes a pair of straps that extend between a first attachment end and a second attachment end; a lower body resistance band, where the lower body attachment band includes a strap extending between a first attachment end with a wedge and a second attachment end; a pair of wrist wraps to fasten around the user's wrist, and a pair of gloves, where both the wrist wraps and gloves attach to the second attachment end of the elongated resistance band.

FIG. 1 , a perspective view of aresistance band 10 is shown in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Theresistance band 10 includes astrap 12 positioned central to the body of theresistance band 10. Thestrap 12 may be made from a rubber or elastic material. Thestrap 12 stretches between afirst attachment end 14 and a second attachment end 18. Thefirst attachment end 14 may be fastened to a static structure like a doorknob, handle, piece of furniture or piece of exercise equipment. Theattachment end 14 may be a loop or a strap of fabric secured with a hook and loop fastener, commonly known as Velcro®. The doorknob is inserted through anopening 16 within theattachment end 14. - When the
attachment end 14 is fastened to the static structure the user may pull on thesecond attachment end 18 to stretch thestrap 12. Thesecond attachment end 18 includes ahandle 20 for the user to grip while exercising. Thehandle 20 may include a foam or neoprene cover for a comfortable feel against the user's hand. During use, the user attaches thefirst attachment end 14 to the doorknob or furniture. Then they grasp thehandle 20 to pull and stretch thestrap 12. Theresistance band 10 provides the user with a counter force to as they pull. The counter force assists the user to gain strength in the arms and back depending on the angle and direction they pull. - Referring now to
FIG. 2 , a perspective view of anelongated resistance band 30 is shown in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. Theelongated resistance band 30 may include a pair ofelongated straps 32 that stretch between afirst attachment end 36 and asecond attachment end 38. Theelongated straps 32 provide a longer training band than thestrap 12 illustrated inFIG. 1 . Theelongated straps 32 allows for larger movements of the arms and legs as the user works out. Theelongated straps 32 are fastened together with aconnector 34 which is then fastened to thefirst attachment end 36. b. an elongated resistance band, where the elongated resistance band includes a pair of straps that extend between a first attachment end and a second attachment end, where the first attachment end loops around a static structure and where the second attachment end is grasped by the user;
c. a lower body resistance band, where the lower body attachment band includes a strap extending between a first attachment end with a wedge and a second attachment end, where the wedge secures the first attachment end beneath a door and where the second attachment end is looped around a leg of the user; and
d. a pair of wrist wraps to fasten around the user's wrist, where the pair of wrist wraps fasten to the second attachment end of the elongated resistance band.
2. The resistance band training system according to claim 1 , where the resistance strap includes a handle attached to the second attachment end.
3. The resistance band training system according to claim 2 , where the handle includes a cover made from one of at least foam or neoprene.
4. The resistance band training system according to claim 1 , where the wrist wrap includes an elongated strap, a securing strap and a hook and loop fastener to securely fasten the wrist wrap around the user's wrist.
5. The resistance band training system according to claim 1 , where the wrist wrap includes a ring with a latch, where the latch opens the ring to receive the second attachment end of the elongated resistance band.
6. The resistance band training system according to claim 1 , where the system further includes a pair of gloves, where the gloves fasten to the second attachment end of the elongated resistance band.
7. The resistance band training system according to claim 6 , where each of the pair of gloves include a ring with a latch, where the latch opens the ring to receive the second attachment end of the elongated resistance band.
8. The resistance band training system according to claim 6 , where each of the pair of gloves includes a grip pad.
9. The resistance band training system according to claim 1 , where the strap of the resistance band is a wide strap, where the wide strap is two inches wide.
