1 Claim.
This invention appertains new and useful improvements in lens holders for spectacles and. more particularly 110 spectacles of ehe frameless type.
'Ihe principal object of the present invention is to provide a 1ens holder which will readily hold the 1ens in a, definite fixed position without 1ikelihood of the same becoming displaced or Contorted in any manner.

Numera1 I8 represents a. washer having a central opening I9 through which the screw I2 is disposed. and this washer I8 is provided with a. spring shank 20 disposed radia1ly therefrom and having a laterally disposed. flange 2I ab its free end which bites into the channel 22 in the abutment 9 where the arm I merges with the seid. abutment.
Obviously when the screw I2 is disposed through the fingers III-II and the lens 23, the 111g HI Will enga-ge With the disk I5 and eventually catch one of the ratchet grooves I'I while the spring shank 20 is under tension. In this manner the screw I2 is locked against outward movement and the lens prevented. from accidental displacement from the nose piece.
