Description

  • The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 61/828,563, filed on May 29, 2013.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates generally to an apparatus for holding items. More specifically, the present invention is a purse with multiple compartments, which allows an individual to hold a variety of items including a pair of shoes.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Shoes are very important to people, which is particularly true for women. Many different types of shoes are suitable for varied type of social occasions. Many women, especially professional women need to wear different pairs of shoes to match her clothes, to be proper for respective situations, occasions and social environments. As a result, a woman may need to switch her shoes a few times during the day in order to be suitable for various situations.
  • In addition to social needs, a women may also want to change her shoes for health concerns. Many women wear heels in order to appear dressier, sexier, and more polished. However, heels do not fit well with human body anatomy. It is now widely agreed that heels are not good for a women's health; and they may be closely related to a number of women's body pains and fatigue, which more and more professional women have suffered. In one study, it has been found that the women who experienced pain wore heels for an average of 60 hours a week. In this regard, many health advisors now suggest women to leave from their beloved high heeled shoes, which albeit make them look nicer, yet at the same time, bring them so much body pain that actually seriously lower their life quality.
  • However, in reality, for various social or personal reasons, it is just impossible for many women not to wear high heeled shoes. Therefore, one alternative approach would be switch off the high heeled shoes with a low heeled shoes or other shoes when it is possible.
  • In light of the foregoing, many women need to change their shoes a few times a day. Accordingly, they need to find an easy way to carry their shoes with them. After all, it is not easy or almost impossible to go back their home or go back to their office to get a new pair of shoes for the switch. In this regard, they need a new way to carry an extra pair of shoes with them easily, conveniently, and at the same time, which should not make them look awkward. Women, especially women in certain age groups, tend to carry walking shoes, flats, to switch up when needed because their feet hurt in heels after a period of time. The best solution for women is to have the option to switch shoes at any moment when necessary, but this requires being able to carry at least an additional pair of shoes with them wherever they go.
  • On the other hand, a purse has become a necessity for almost every modern woman. Accordingly, it is desirable to find a suitable place in a woman's purse for the extra pair of shoes a woman may need to switch into at any time. Yet concerning the purses currently available on the market, they only allow a woman to carry a limited amount of items in the compartments of the purse. These compartments are big enough for small and medium size items but cannot hold larger items, such as shoes. Being able to switch shoes and carry them in a compartment that is designed to protect the shoes and eliminate odors is essential for a woman.
  • It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus that is capable of carrying an extra pair of shoes for dressing or for walking; and at the same time, the apparatus also has multiple compartments on panels, which allows an individual to carry a variety of items such as a wallet, a phone, etc. and to be able to switch panels according to their given situation or needs.

  • DETAIL DESCRIPTIONS OF THE INVENTION
  • All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
  • The present is a purse with multiple compartments on interchangeable panels, which allows an individual to hold a variety of items. It has a primary purse receptacle 101, which has a primary purse access opening 102, which is located at the top or first side 104 of the purse. Moreover, it also comprises a particular compartment, shoe compartment 105, which is specifically designated for a pair of shoes, along with certain accessories for shoe storage, such as odor remover such as the odor eater and a shoe divider. This shoe compartment has been separated from the primary purse receptacle by a separation means 103. In this way, the purse with shoe carrying compartment of the present invention has provided a means for women to carry an extra pair of shoes with them to anywhere for switching off in a convenient way, with no need for an individual carrying apparatus for shoes. However, it is noted that the extra pair of shoes carried in the purse of present invention is not necessary for the purpose of switching off. It can be for any purpose. It is also noted that albeit the compartment has been designated for an extra pair of shoes; such compartment actually can be used for carry or store any item that is suitable.
  • The shoe compartment 105, as one major component of the purse, is big enough to accommodate a pair of high heeled shoes. The shoe compartment may be located at any suitable part of the purse. Moreover, the shoe compartment may be a full compartment for a pair of shoes; alternatively, each shoe may have its individual shoe compartment. In one mode, the shoe compartment is one full compartment located at the bottom of purse. The shoe compartment has its shoe access opening 301. In another mode, there are two individual compartments 202 located at the left and right side of the purse respectively. Each of the two individual compartments 202 has its shoe access opening 201. The shoe compartment has shoe bag(s), 303, which could be made of certain suitable materials, which would be flexible yet durable. Carbon fiber material could also be used to make the shoe compartment.
  • The shoe compartment in the present invention has a few specific features that are suitable for their shoe storing and carrying purposes. The shoe compartment comprises its own opening or openings. In this way, the shoes can be placed and removed from the shoe compartment of the purse easily. Otherwise, in a case when the shoe compartment is located at the bottom of the purse, in order to get access to the shoe compartment, the items in the purse, which are on top of the shoe compartment may need to be removed from the purse firstly, which is not only inconvenient, but also unsafe, as when a person is in a hurry to switch shoes and there are many small items and accessories in the purse, she may forget to put something back. In addition, in certain situations, a quick action of taking shoes out of purse and wearing them on would be deemed as neat; whereas the actions of firstly trying to remove everything from a purse, holding them in one hand (it is very possible that there is no proper place nearby to put them on), trying to use the other hand to remove two shoes from a purse, then placing everything back in purse and finally switch shoes would look awkward.
  • In addition to its own opening, the shoe compartment may also contain a shoe bag to hold the pair of shoes inside the shoe compartment, instead of placing the shoes in the shoe compartment directly. The shoe bag may be a washable bag made of carbon fiber, non-woven or any other suitable material. Moreover, there may be a shoe divider 302 to separate the two shoes in the shoe compartment. The shoe divider could be either fixed to the shoe compartment; or a removable device that can be easily removed from the shoe compartment when necessary or for cleaning purpose.
  • In related to its purpose of shoe storage, the shoe compartment may also comprise a pocket or a plurality of pockets 203 to store an odor removing material 204. Since in many cases, the shoes stored in the shoe compartment could be just removed from feet and thus may have undesirable smell, the presence of such odor removing material could help to eliminate the smell from the purse. In addition, the shoe compartment is lined at the bottom and back side of bag to capture the dirt from shoe with a disposable material.
  • The shoe compartment of the present invention may be fixed inside of the purse. Alternatively, it may be a space (or a pair of space) separate from other parts of the purse via a separator. In such a case, the separator may comprise two sliders on its two sides; and on the appropriate locations of the purse wall, there are two corresponding grooves. In order to form the shoe compartment, the two sliders of the separator are fitted into the corresponding grooves in the purse, so as to form a closed space designated as the shoe compartment.
  • As for the opening of the shoe compartment, it may be a single opening or two separate openings. The shoe compartment opening may be in an open state if it is proper, such as in the case when the shoe compartment are two individual compartments located at two sides of the purse. Alternately, the shoe compartment opening or openings are closed by certain mechanisms, such as snap, zipper, hook and loop fastener (such as Velcro), pull string and the like.
  • In addition to the designated shoe compartment, the purse of the present invention may have a plurality of small item compartments 405; each of them has a compartment access 405. The compartment access may be either open or closed by a means including zipper, loop and hook fastener, pull string and snap catch and the like. The quantity of the small item compartment may vary and the size of the small item compartments may vary, too. A wide variety of different items could be individually held in the plurality of small item compartments, such as make-up kit, tissue, travel comb, lotion, mirror, key, cell phone, pen, notepad, reading glasses, sun glasses and the like. In the present invention, the small compartments 404 could be fixed on a panel 403 that has been made of a sturdy material. Similarly, at two sides of the panel, there are two sliders; and at the appropriate locations on the purse wall, there are two corresponding grooves. The sliders are fitted into the grooves; such that the panel, as well as the small item compartments on the panel has been secured in the purse. The panel is interchangeable. That is to say, different panels with different configurations of small item compartments could be fitted into the purse.
  • Further, a key holder may also be provided on the panel. Moreover, an LED light 401 may be provided in the purse, as well as a key holder 402. The purse with shoe carry compartment of the present invention may take various forms to meet the different needs of different groups of people. The purse may be made in a plurality of different styles, including but not limited to Dress, Everyday, and Sports styles. The present invention expands for higher heels, such as Stilettos and tennis shoes and any other desired shoes. Moreover, the name “Purshoeba” or a similar distinguishing name is printed on the inside of purse to establish the authenticity of the product.
