Abstract

Small waterproof waist or shoulder bag which can immediately be transformed into a lifejacket The small waterproof waist or shoulder (1) (2), bag suitable for use while in the water is very useful for the protection of valuables such as keys, money, mobile phone from theft while swimming, and at the same time it can save the user from drowning since it includes a built in lifejacket (3) with an automatic blowing mechanism (5) with a CO2 cartridge (4). Finally, it can be worn by anyone since it is small and discreet and it allows the use of a mobile phone or other music device during swimming.

Description

  • The invention refers to a small waist or shoulder (from one shoulder to the opposite side) bag, 100% waterproof, with built-in lifejacket which inflates automatically by pulling a cord.
  • The advantage of the product is that it addresses three problems simultaneously problems we might have when for whatever reason we find ourselves into the water, in the sea or the swimming pool. In particular, a swimmer is able to store discreetly (due to the small size of the item) valuable personal belongings (such as mobile phone, keys, money etc), secure from dampness or the danger of theft in case he is away. At the same time, he is given the opportunity to use the mobile phone or any music device while in the water (there is a waterproof jack for headphones), and most importantly he has the chance to save his life from drowning since the bag can be turned into a lifejacket immediately by pulling a cord.
  • The item consists of a small bag which is divided in two parts, in or next to the first part, sewn, glued or high frequency glued there is a 100% waterproof bag of any color which closes with two corrosion resistant rails that fasten perfectly with thumb screws, or can be folded and fastened with Velcro, in a way that the influx of water is impossible. In the second part, from top to bottom a folded lifejacket is placed which includes a carbon dioxide filled cartridge and its trigger mechanism. The mechanism connects the cartridge which is screwed on it with the inner part of the lifejacket through an enclosed air tight hole. It can be activated by the user by pulling a cord or belt, which pushes a piston that pierces the cartridge (4 to 8 liter capacity) pumping through the mechanism the air inside the lifejacket. There is also a mouth blowing device for air addition or as an alternative solution. After the use, the cartridge can be unscrewed in order to deflate the lifejacket and by screwing a new one, it can be reused as many times as it is required. The top part of the bag fastens with Velcro, so as to open easily when the lifejacket is inflated and be let loose.
  • The lifejacket is oblong and when blown out of the bag is held by one or two cords which are as long as the distance between the neck and the waist, in order to button around the neck, so as the user's head can stay afloat even in case of unconsciousness. The bag has a safety cord and a safety buckle.

Claims (4)

1. Small bag (1) which closes with Velcro or buckle or magnet (11) and one or two cords that hold the lifejacket (12) and buckle (8). The lifejacket (3) on which the compressed liquidated CO2 cartridge (4) is placed, the piercing mechanism (5), a blowing valve (14) for air addition by blowing and the buckles (6) (7) which position the lifejacket around the neck, waterproof compartment (2) which is placed lengthwise in continuity of the lifejacket compartment with waterproof jack for mobile phone or music device headphones (15) and adjustable belt (9) and buckle (10).
2. The small bag in claim 1 where the lifejacket has the shape of a belt and is made of flexible endurable material, on which the compressed liquidated CO2 cartridge (2) is placed and the piercing mechanism (3), waterproof compartment (4) which is placed on or lengthwise in continuity of the lifejacket compartment with waterproof jack for mobile phone or music device headphones (15) and adjustable belt (6) and buckle (7).
3. The small bag of claim 1 which consists of two compartments (division in the middle), where in the first compartment (1) a bag is placed with a cord or belt (so that it can be separated) and next to it the compartment (2) with the lifejacket, placed so as to create a uniform construction as we observe in Shape 3.
4. The small bag of claim 3 where the two compartments are placed in parallel, one in front of the other, so as to create a uniform but also smaller in size and length construction.
