Accordingly, the practical applications and usefulness of the improved trolley bag of the present invention are increased and enhanced.
Description
- The present invention is related to a bag with an improved structure for carrying cargo and articles, in particular, to an improved trolley bag with wheels having a collapsible structure for extension or retraction thereof.
- Currently, the shapes of conventional trolley bags are often of the configurations of fixed lengths and sizes. For the trolley bags designed for carrying travelling gear and luggage, the length of such trolley bags are often longer in length than conventional luggage bags or suitcases; despite their longer length than ordinary luggage bags and suitcases, they are, however, not long enough for carrying special items such as golf equipment that require a much longer luggage bags. As a result, in order to accommodate different length of carrying items and luggage, more than luggage bags in different lengths are required, which is inconvenient and non-economic to users. In addition, for a single trolley bag and its functions, there is a need for an improvement to overcome the aforementioned shortcomings and to enhance the practical usefulness as well as applications of the trolley bag.
- In view of the above, an objective of the present invention is to provide an improved trolley bag capable of overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks of known trolley bags that are lack of functionalities, impractical in various applications and non-economic to users.
- To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides an improved trolley bag comprising a primary bag unit, a left bag unit, a right bag unit and collapsible bag units; wherein the collapsible bag units are provided between the primary bag unit and the left bag unit as well as between the primary bag unit and the right bag unit respectively in order to form the improved trolley bag integrally as one single bag and such that the improved trolley bag is of a collapsible function for extending and collapsing thereof. In addition, a top surface of the overall trolley bag comprises a zipper strap as part of a bag opening of the trolley bag. The left and right bag units further comprise a locking ring provided thereon respectively and the primary bag unit further comprises a locking buckle for correspondingly buckling onto the locking rings whereby when the improved trolley bag is collapsed with a decreased overall length, the left bag unit, the right bag unit and the primary bag unit are held to be attached to each other firmly. Furthermore, the primary bag unit comprises a lifting handle, the left bag unit comprises a pulling handle and a bottom of the right bag unit comprises wheels. With the aforementioned structure, the improved trolley bag of the present invention is of a collapsible function such that when it is at a collapsed configuration, it can be used for carrying and storing conventional items; whereas when it is at an extended configuration with the left and right extendable bag units being extended to increase the overall length of the trolley bag, it can be used for carrying and storing elongated items including such as golf clubs. As a result, the practical applications and usefulness of the trolley bag of the present invention are improved and enhanced.

FIG. 1 toFIG. 3 show a preferred embodiment of an improved trolley bag of the present invention 1. The improved trolley bag 1 comprises aprimary bag unit 10, aleft bag unit 20, aright bag unit 30 andcollapsible bag units 40. The collapsible bag units are provided between theprimary bag unit 10 and theleft bag 20 unit as well as between theprimary bag unit 10 and theright bag unit 30 respectively in order to form the improved trolley bag 1 integrally as one single bag. A top surface of the overall trolley bag 1 comprises azipper strap 70 as part of a bag opening of the trolley bag 1. A top surface of theleft bag unit 20 and a bottom surface of theright bag unit 30 compriselocking rings bad unit 10 compriseslocking buckles 11 for correspondingly buckling onto the locking rings whereby when the improved trolley bag 1 is collapsed with a decreased overall length, theleft bag unit 20, theright bag unit 30 and theprimary bag unit 10 are held to be attached to each other firmly. Theprimary bag unit 10 comprises alifting handle 50, theleft bag unit 20 comprises apulling handle 60 and theright bag unit 30 compriseswheels 80 on a bottom thereof. In addition, theprimary bag unit 10 further comprises a supportingplatform 12 provided therein, and the supportingplatform 12 is attached anextendable frame 90 with extendable left and right ends. -
FIG. 4 is an illustration showing the operations of collapse and extension of the improved trolley bag 1 of the present invention. Under the collapsed state of the trolley bag 1, thelocking rings left bag unit 20 and theright bag unit 30 are firmly buckled onto thelocking buckle 11 of theprimary bag unit 10. To extend the trolley bag 1, the buckling between thelocking rings locking buckle 11 is released and disengaged first, followed by pulling the left andright bag units collapsible bag units 40 are extended due to the pulling and such that the overall length of the trolley bag 1 is increased. Finally, the extendable left and right ends of theextendable frame 90 inside theprimary bag unit 10 are pulled to extend outward in order to provide structural supports for thecollapsible bag units 40 and to enhance the structural strength thereof such that the extended trolley bag 1 can be lifted with thelifting handle 50 provided on theprimary bag unit 10 without bending or folding of the bag units. Alternatively, thepulling handle 60 provided on theleft bag unit 20 can also be used in conjunction with thewheels 80 provided at the bottom of theright bag unit 30 in order to allow the trolley bag 1 to be carried and moved with ease. With the aforementioned structure, the improved trolley bag 1 of the present invention is of a collapsible function such that when it is at a collapsed configuration, it can be used for carrying and storing conventional items; whereas when it is at an extended configuration with the left and right extendable bag units being extended to increase the overall length of the trolley bag, it can be used for carrying and storing elongated items including such as golf clubs. As a result, the practical applications and usefulness of the trolley bag of the present invention are improved and enhanced. -
