Abstract
Geartac is a storage device that allows athletes to suspend and store the gear used in their sport. The gear could consist of anything from boxing gloves to skateboarding knee pads. Geartacs' multifunctional de-sign gives you the ability to suspend your gear from a completely portable utility belt. The belt is made from 2″ velcro strapping which allows the gear to be attached to the strap using the velcro straps on the gear to hang and store or to just air out and dry. Its' unique suspension system consists of a three way buckle which allows you to hang it anywhere on the go. The strap has a snap hook and a D-ring enclosure which allows it to be clipped to any hook, eyebolt, or horizontal bar. Whether you're at home, the gym, the rink or the ring, Geartac hangs your equipment in one compact space and permits it to vent freely while air drying to help prevent the spread of bacteria.

- In the world of Mixed Martial Arts, the life span of athletic gear is greatly diminished because it is constantly saturated with perspiration. Traditional storage devices such as bags create odor and spread bacteria. Geartac was created to eliminate odor and halt the spread of bacteria, dramatically increasing the durability of sporting gear.

FIG. 7 a 2″ one-wrap velcro tape and dimensions. 25 Yard Roll ONE-WRAP. Available in: Black, White & Yellow. Reusable and flexible, patented VELCRO® brand ONE-WRAP® self-gripping fasteners are a unique back-to-back fastening system. VELCRO® brand ONE-WRAP® straps wrap around objects to be bundled or controlled, and then the remaining strap tip attaches back onto itself for a neat and secure closure without buckles or hardware. FIG. 1 b by a 2″ double adjust side release buckle, seeFIG. 4 b to enclose the loop for hanging. The ends of the strap are then finished secure with a 2″ plastice slide, seeFIG. 3 b. To create the three way hook and loop attachment the top of the velcro loop has been fitted with both a 2″ D-ring, seeFIG. 3 a and a 2″ metal snap-hook, seeFIG. 4 a. Both of these pieces can either hook over a knob or post with the D-ring, seeFIG. 5 a or snap through a hook eye with the metal snap hook, seeFIG. 5 b. In order to accommodate larger diameter fixtures with circumferences as large as 2″, one can wrap the strap over the bar and connect both the 2″ D-ring to the 2″ metal snaphook, seeFIGS. 6 a and 6 b. as a large band enclosure. Once the device is hanging in one of its many states, athletic gear using velcro closures can be secured to the “TAGH1” using the “velcro” hook and loop system. The “TAGH1” has 360 degrees of “velcro” hook and loop closures to allow gear to be stored anywear on the device using both the inside “hook” system and the outside, softer, “loop” system created by the velcro.
Claims (1)
