Abstract
A moulded adapter that securely joins together insulated can beverage containers or insulated bottle beverage containers into pool noodles. The caddy adapter has 6 ribs with two stages on each rib and a different degree pitch on each stage. The top rib stage has a pitch that securely holds insulated can beverage containers. The bottom rib stage has a pitch that securely holds insulated bottle beverage containers. The insulated beverage containers are easily inserted or removed from the adapter. The beverage containers are securely held in the adapter by the ribs and at the same time the adapter is securely held in a pool noodle by the adapter nipple.
Description
- The field of endeavor for the Caddy Adapter is for pools, lakes, rivers &. boating recreational fields. It would be classified in GROUP III. 206 Special Receptacles of the U.S. Patent Classification Definitions.
- The defined problem: Maneuverability when floating on a pool noodle in the water, while securely holding a beverage in an adapter and trying to maneuver. There is no adapter available on the market to securely hold an insulated beverage in a container and at the same time be able to take a drink easily by pulling out the adapter from a pool noodle with a beverage container in it or by taking a drink easily by pulling out the beverage container from the adapter. Both methods are then easily inserted into hack into either the pool noodle with the adapter or the beverage container into the adapter.
- The Caddy Adapter solves the problem of securely holding either an insulated can or insulated bottle beverage container in one end of the adapter, while the other end of the adapter is securely held in the pool noodle. The beverage container will be held securley in the adapter and also held securely in the pool noodle when maneuvering in the water. The beverage container will not fill out even if the assembly, caddy adapter and beverage container, is submersed underwater.
- FIG. 1—Depicts top view of caddy adapter
- FIG. 2—Depicts cutaway side view of caddy adapter
- FIG. 3—Depicts bottom angle side view of caddy adapter
- FIG. 4—Depicts bottom view of caddy adapter nipple
- The caddy adapter illustrates in
FIG. 1 having 6 ribs. Theseribs 1 are spaced equal distance around the adapter and are at 90 degrees of the adapter wall. This holds the insulated beverage container in the center of the adapter. This also prevents the beverage container from rotating in the adapter. - The caddy adapter illustrates in
FIG. 2 the two stages of the ribs 2 for use with holding two different types of insulated beverage containers. Thetop rib stage 3 has a pitch that securely holds insulated can beverage containers by squeezing the insulation around the beverage can. This pitch on the rib tightens the grip on the insulation and can and holds them in place. The bottomrib stage 4 has a pitch that securely holds insulated bottle beverage containers by squeezing the insulation around the beverage bottle. This pitch on the rib tightens the grip on the insulation and bottle and holds them in place. The rib locations and pitch angles make it easy to insert and remove the insulated beverage containers. - The caddy adapter illustrates in
FIG. 3 an insertion nipple 5 that inserts into a pool noodle. The insertion nipple incorporates 4ribs 7 and atapered end 6 for easy insertion into a pool noodle. The insertion nipple 5 is an oversized nipple presses the 4ribs 7 against the inner pool noodle wall. This securely seats the adapter inside the pool noodle. Thetapered end 6 on the insertion nipple makes it easy to insert the adapter into any size pool noodle. - The caddy adapter illustrates in
FIG. 4 ribs 7 on the outside diameter on the insertion nipple. There are 4 ribs on the insertion nipple that press into the foam on the inside diameter wall of a pool noodle when inserted. These 4 ribs along with the oversized insertion nipple 5 securely hold the adapter in place in the pool noodle.
