Abstract

A textile is provided with an underlying layer of hook and loop fabric; and a jacquard surface layer formed integrally with the underlying layer of hook and loop fabric. No adhesive is used in the manufacturing processes so as to minimize impact to the environment. The textile is particularly for the manufacturing of shoes and head covering.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The invention relates to textile and more particularly to a textile including an underlying layer of hook and loop fabric and a jacquard surface layer formed integrally therewith without using adhesive in the manufacturing processes.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • A conventional textile for the manufacturing of shoes is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and comprises an underlying layer of fabric C, an intermediate layer of foam B, and a jacquard surface layer A. These three layers are secured together by adhesive. However, the layers may disengage from one another after a period of time due to the nature of adhesive.
  • A conventional textile of the manufacturing of head covering (e.g., helmet, hats, or caps) is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 and comprises an underlying layer of fabric E and a surface layer of hook and loop fabric D. These two layers are secured together by adhesive. However, the layers may disengage from one another after a period of time due to the nature of adhesive.
  • Another conventional textile of the manufacturing of head covering (e.g., hats or caps) is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 and comprises an underlying layer of fabric E, an intermediate layer of hook and loop fabric D, and a jacquard surface layer F. These three layers are secured together by adhesive. However, the layers may disengage from one another after a period of time due to the nature of adhesive.
  • Thus, the need for improvement still exists.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a textile comprising an underlying layer of hook and loop fabric; and a jacquard surface layer formed integrally with the underlying layer of hook and loop fabric.
  • The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a conventional textile for the manufacturing of shoes;
  • FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the textile of FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded view of a conventional textile for the manufacturing of head covering;
  • FIG. 4 is a longitudinal sectional view of the textile of FIG. 3;
  • FIG. 5 is an exploded view of another conventional textile for the manufacturing of head cover;
  • FIG. 6 is a longitudinal sectional view of the textile of FIG. 5;
  • FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a textile according to the invention;
  • FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the underlying layer of hook and loop fabric shown in FIG. 7;
  • FIG. 9 is a longitudinal sectional view of the textile shown in FIG. 7;
  • FIG. 10 is a perspective view of an inverted helmet having a soft, thick, inner liner made of the textile of the invention;
  • FIGS. 11 and 12 are perspective views of two athletic shoes having a vamp made of the textile of the invention respectively; and
  • FIGS. 13, 14, and 15 are perspective views of three configurations of the textile of the invention having different designs of decoration respectively.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to FIGS. 7 to 9, a textile 1 in accordance with the invention comprises an underlying layer of hook and loop fabric 12 and a jacquard surface layer 11 formed integrally therewith in the manufacturing processes.
  • It is envisaged by the invention that no adhesive is used in the manufacturing processes so as to minimize impact to the environment.
  • Referring to FIG. 10, the textile 1 can be used as a material for the manufacturing of a soft, thick, inner liner of a helmet.
  • Referring to FIGS. 11 and 12, the textile 1 can be used as a material for the manufacturing of vamps of two athletic shoes respectively.
  • Referring to FIGS. 13, 14, and 15, there are shown three configurations of the textile 1 having different designs of decoration implemented on the jacquard surface layer 11 respectively.
  • Although the invention has been described in detail, it is to be understood that this is done by way of illustration only and is not to be taken by way of limitation. The scope of the invention is to be limited only by the appended claims.
