Abstract
The present invention discloses a portable touch device including a casing, a stylus, a rope and a reeling mechanism. An opening and a stylus slot are formed on the casing. The stylus is detachably received inside the stylus slot. The rope passes through the opening on the casing, and one end of the rope is connected to the stylus. The reeling mechanism is installed inside the casing and connected to the other end of the rope, for reeling the rope so as to pull the stylus to be received inside the stylus slot.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a portable touch device with a stylus receiving function, and more specifically, to a portable touch device with a stylus receiving function by a reel mechanism.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- With development of information industrial, a lot of information knowledge can be communicated, arranged and stored in the form of digital information. A computer for reading and accessing digital information becomes the most important tool in the modern information society. Especially, various kinds of portable computers, such as a notebook computer, a personal digital assistant, a global position system device, and so on, are small, light and easy to carry, so as to facilitate users to check, browse and store various kinds of digital information anytime and anywhere. It is desired to design the portable computer to be slim and light, and to have a human interface at the same time, so that a touch panel is often used as the human interface between users and the machine. Usually, an user need to use a stylus to contact and press the touch panel, and the touch panel can sense a pressed position to output different control commands according to different pressed positions, so as to control the portable computer. A stylus slot is often disposed on a side of the portable touch device for fixing the stylus on a casing of the portable touch device. However, because the stylus is an external accessory, it is often lost. In order to prevent loss of the stylus, a common method is utilizing a rope to connect the stylus with the casing, resulting in a disadvantage of exposing the rope outside the casing, and the rope occupies space and affects the uniform appearance of the portable touch device. As a result, it is an important issue to design a mechanism for receiving the stylus effectively.
- The present invention is to provide a portable touch device with a stylus receiving function by a reel mechanism to solve above problems.
- According to the disclosure, a portable touch device includes a casing, a stylus, a rope and a reeling mechanism. An opening and a stylus slot are formed on the casing. The stylus is detachably received inside the stylus slot. The rope passes through the opening on the casing, and one end of the rope is connected to the stylus. The reeling mechanism is installed inside the casing and connected to the other end of the rope, for reeling the rope so as to pull the stylus to be received inside the stylus slot.
- According to the disclosure, the reeling mechanism includes a fixing rod and a coil spring. The fixing rod is installed on an inner side of the casing. The coil spring winds about the fixing rod, the coil spring being connected to the other end of the rope for providing the rope with an elastic recovery force, so as to reel the rope.
- According to the disclosure, a hole is formed on an end of the coil spring, and the other end of the rope passes through the hole.
- According to the disclosure, the reeling mechanism further comprises a coil spring fixing structure for fixing the coil spring on the inner side of the casing.
- According to the disclosure, the coil spring fixing structure includes a sleeve and a cover. The sleeve is installed on the inner side of the casing, and the coil spring is installed inside the sleeve in a winding manner. The cover is for covering the sleeve, so as to prevent the coil spring from separating from the sleeve.
- According to the disclosure, the cover is fixed on the sleeve by ultrasound welding.
- The present invention is to implement the function of receiving the stylus by the reeling mechanism. It cannot only prevent the stylus from loss, but also can receive the rope connected to the stylus and the casing automatically and effectively, so as to achieve a purpose of not occupying space and maintaining the uniform appearance.
- These and other objectives of the present invention will no doubt become obvious to those of ordinary skill in the art after reading the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment that is illustrated in the various figures and drawings.

Theportable touch device 50 can be a handheld mobile device, such as a mobile phone, a personal digital assistant, and so on. In addition, theportable touch device 50 also can be a portable computer device, such as a tablet computer. In order to illustrate an inner structure of theportable touch device 50 clearly, part of acasing 52 is omitted inFIG. 1 toFIG. 3 . Theportable touch device 50 includes thecasing 52 for covering internal components. An opening 521 and astylus slot 523 are formed on thecasing 52. Theportable touch device 50 further includes astylus 54 detachably received inside thestylus slot 523 on thecasing 52. Thestylus 54 can be used for assisting in performing a touch operation of theportable touch device 50. As an user is desired to perform the touch operation, thestylus 54 can be used for contacting and pressing a touch panel, and the touch panel can sense a position where is pressed to output different control commands according to different pressed positions, so as to control theportable touch device 50. As the user does not need to perform the touch operation, thestylus 54 can be received inside thestylus slot 523 on thecasing 52. - In order to implement a function of receiving the
stylus 54 inside thestylus slot 523 on thecasing 52, theportable touch device 50 further includes arope 56 and areeling mechanism 58. Therope 56 passes through the opening 521 on thecasing 52, and one end of therope 56 is connected to thestylus 54. For example, the end of therope 56 can be tied to a handle portion of thestylus 54, so as to connect thestylus 54 with thecasing 52. Thereeling mechanism 58 is installed inside thecasing 52 and connected to the other end of therope 56, for reeling therope 56 so as to pull thestylus 54 to be received inside thestylus slot 523 on thecasing 52. For example, thereeling mechanism 58 can be an automatic reeling mechanism, and the user can force to pull thestylus 54 to pull out therope 56, so as to pull thestylus 54 out of thestylus slot 523 on thecasing 52, for performing the touch operation. As it is desired to receive thestylus 54 inside thestylus slot 523, the user only needs to release thestylus 54, and then thereeling mechanism 58 reels therope 56 to get close to thecasing 52 automatically, so that thestylus 54 can be received inside thestylus slot 523. - In this embodiment, the
reeling mechanism 58 can include afixing rod 60 and acoil spring 62. Thefixing rod 60 is installed on an inner side of thecasing 52, and thecoil spring 62 winds about thefixing rod 60. Thecoil spring 62 is connected to the other end of therope 56 for providing therope 56 with an elastic recovery force, so as to reel therope 56. Please refer toFIG. 4 .FIG. 4 is a diagram of therope 56 connected to thecoil spring 62 according to the embodiment of the present invention. Ahole 621 is formed on an end of thecoil spring 62, and the other end of therope 56 passes through thehole 621. For example, the other end of therope 56 is tied to thehole 621, so as to connect thecoil spring 62 with therope 56. As the user forces to pull thestylus 54 to pull out therope 56, thecoil spring 62 connected to therope 56 is also forced at the same time, so that thecoil spring 62 deforms elastically, and then thestylus 54 can be pulled out of thestylus slot 523 to perform the touch operation. However, as it is desired to receive thestylus 54 inside thestylus slot 523, the user only needs to release thestylus 54, and thencoil spring 62 can provide therope 56 with the elastic recovery force, so as to reel therope 56 to pull thestylus 54 back to thecasing 52 automatically, so that thestylus 54 can be received inside thestylus slot 523. The reelingmechanism 58 is not limited to the above mechanical design. For example, it also can adopt a design with an elastic rope connected to a rotation shaft via a spring. That is, any mechanism capable of implementing a reeling function is within the scope of the present invention. - Moreover, in order to fix the
coil spring 62 inside thecasing 52, the reelingmechanism 58 further includes a coilspring fixing structure 64 for fixing thecoil spring 62 on the inner side of thecasing 52. The coilspring fixing structure 64 includes asleeve 66 and acover 68. Thesleeve 66 is installed on the inner side of thecasing 52 and around the fixingrod 60, and thecoil spring 62 is installed inside thesleeve 66 in a winding manner. Thecover 68 is for covering thesleeve 66, so as to prevent thecoil spring 62 from separating from thesleeve 66. Thecover 68 can be fixed on thesleeve 66 by ultrasound welding. A method for fastening thecover 68 with thesleeve 66 is not limited to this embodiment, and it depends on practical design demands. - As for an assembly procedure, the
coil spring 62 can wind about the fixingrod 60 in the winding manner first and be installed inside thesleeve 66. After that, the end of therope 56 can be tied to the handle portion of thestylus 54, so as to connect therope 56 with thestylus 54. Then, the other end of therope 56 passes through theopening 521 on thecasing 52. After therope 56 passes into the inner side of thecasing 52, the other end of therope 56 is connected to thehole 621 on thecoil spring 62, so as to connect thecoil spring 62 with therope 56. Finally, thecover 68 is combined with thesleeve 66, so as to prevent thecoil spring 62 from separating from thesleeve 66. Therefore, the overall assembly is finished. - In contrast to the prior art, the present invention is to implement the function of receiving the stylus by the reeling mechanism. It can not only prevent the stylus from loss, but also can receive the rope connected to the stylus and the casing automatically and effectively, so as to achieve a purpose of not occupying space and maintaining the uniform appearance.
- Those skilled in the art will readily observe that numerous modifications and alterations of the device and method may be made while retaining the teachings of the invention. Accordingly, the above disclosure should be construed as limited only by the metes and bounds of the appended claims.
Claims (6)
1. A portable touch device, comprising:
a casing whereon an opening and a stylus slot are formed;
a stylus detachably received inside the stylus slot on the casing;
a rope passing through the opening on the casing, one end of the rope being connected to the stylus; and
a reeling mechanism installed inside the casing and connected to the other end of the rope, for reeling the rope so as to pull the stylus to be received inside the stylus slot on the casing.
2. The portable touch device of claim 1 , wherein the reeling mechanism comprises:
a fixing rod installed on an inner side of the casing; and
a coil spring winding about the fixing rod, the coil spring being connected to the other end of the rope for providing the rope with an elastic recovery force, so as to reel the rope.
3. The portable touch device of claim 2 , wherein a hole is formed on an end of the coil spring, and the other end of the rope passes through the hole.
4. The portable touch device of claim 2 , wherein the reeling mechanism further comprises a coil spring fixing structure for fixing the coil spring on the inner side of the casing.
5. The portable touch device of claim 4 , wherein the coil spring fixing structure comprises:
a sleeve installed on the inner side of the casing, the coil spring installed inside the sleeve in a winding manner; and
a cover for covering the sleeve, so as to prevent the coil spring from separating from the sleeve.
6. The portable touch device of claim 5 , wherein the cover is fixed on the sleeve by ultrasound welding.
