Abstract
The present invention relates to entrance mat and carpet, designated to be placed ahead of the entrance of houses for example, for the convenience of the user, before entering to the house for example, enabling the user to scrubs his shoes on the entrance mat, to avoid from dirtying the house. Wherein, the present invention entrance mat is an interactive mat, enabling by electricity power to operates the mat mechanism, which operating a circular motion on part of the entrance mat, enabling the user to stand on the nun-moving parts of the entrance mat, and to point each time one of his shoe on the moving part of the mat.
Description
- The present invention relates to an electric carpet, included in the current invention, and more specifically to method, mechanism and device of an electric motorized entrance mat, entrance carpet, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention.
- Automatic electric motorized entrance mat, are old in the art as represented by the U.S. prior patents, which are the closest, within my knowledge, to the present invention, for example: Mead—U.S. Pat. No. 4,027,355 Expired; Different construction Borg—U.S. Pat. No. 3,786,531 Expired; Ostrow—U.S. Pat. No. 2,895,159 Expired; Mclennon—U.S. Pat. No. 3,482,272 Expired; and some other.
- Such prior art of mat devices find those old expired inventions as a common knowledge in the present time, wherein, one skilled in the art knows that other and different technological of mat devices can claims innovativeness and patent status. Furthermore, such prior art of mat devices have certain disadvantages: among those, is the fact that most of those mat devices are too complicated devices, which their cost are to high for a lot of the potential owners. Furthermore, much of those mat devices including an unreliable mechanism, moreover, they do not adequately deliver the goal of cleaning the user shoes and soles in a simple mechanism and user acts. Further, some of the mat devices of the prior art are too expensive in construction to be amenable for mass production and economical sale, particularly for large, low-cost retailers who must be both attractive to the consumer and can be offered at a very competitive price.
- Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved motorized mat device such as for cleaning users shoes and soles, enabling the user to use minimum body energy to enable using the motorized mat device.
- It is a further object of the invention to provide such an automatic function mat device which is unique in its technological mechanism and in its way and method of use.
- It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description present embodiments of the invention and are intended to provide an overview or framework for understanding the nature and character of the invention as it is claimed. The accompanying drawings are included to provide a further understanding of the invention and are incorporated into and constitute a part of this specification. The drawings illustrate various embodiments of the invention and, together with the description, serve to explain the principles and operations of the invention but not to limit the invention to these descriptions only.
- A motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet, designated to be applied at houses and buildings entrances for example, for the purpose of avoiding dirt from the shoes and soles of the persons entering to the house for example, by cleaning the shoes and soles from some dirt before entering to the house for example.
- Wherein, the motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet, including at its upper surface, which designated to the user shoes and soles stepping and connecting area, at list two combining sections, one section is a nonmoving section, not connected to the electric motor, designated for the user standing on, wherein, the other upper section is preferably a circular shape section, preferably located at the center of the upper surface, wherein this section connected to mechanism including electric motor that enables this section to operates in a circular motion on its pivot central point, whereby, the user is standing with his feet on the unmovable upper section, and each time placing one shoe and sole on the moving section that rotating and turning in circular motion, wherein, those two sections having, at list in partial, a carpet material cover on their upper surface, such materials as been used in the common entrance mat used in the prior-art. Wherein, when the user applying his shoe sole on the rotating section, the circular motion of the section and the carpet cover materials scrubbing his sole and shoe and enabling the goal of avoiding dirtying the inside area of the house for example. Wherein, other section of the motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet including some sort of frame, preferably connected or part of the upper nun-movable section in a way that enabled a hollowed section between the floor for example which it is placing on, and the upper part of the motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet. Wherein, this hollowed space designated to accommodates the device mechanism and system.
- Wherein, the mechanism and system which operates the motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet, including an electric motor, a self electric energy power source, such as an electric battery, or an electric connection to outer electric power source, and a mechanism that enables to operate the electric motor by electric power source, and to turns the upper movable circular shape section, enables this section to operates in a circular motion on its pivot central point, enabling the user to place and connect his soles and shoes onto the device for the cleaning purposes.
- Wherein, another implementation of the present invention, enabling the scrubbing of the shoes and soles of the user by a cylindrical shaped moving section, that turns on its axis, enabling the user pointed his soles and shoes in contact on its round shape side.
- Wherein, the operation of the device enabled by an on/off button, or by the user weight pressing the operating moving section part and closing an electric circuit. Wherein, the closing of the device to an off position is too by a button that open the electric circuit that operates the device mechanism, or by releasing the over-weight by removing the user feet from the moving section part.
- The added drawings in this patent request comes in order to provide more visual understandings about the invention and are integral part of the request and the invention. The drawings describe different functions of the invention and, added to all the mentioned above, serve the purpose of explaining the principles and ways of operation and not, by any means, supposed to limit the invention solely to them.

FIG. 1 is an upper schematic view that shows an example of oneimplementation 100, included in the current invention, of a motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet device, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein,FIG. 1 100 is an add on for expressing and illustrating the final view of the “motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet device” 100, wherein, the electrical carpetmain base 102 designated as a user standing surface, or a self scrubbing surface for his shoes and soles by the user movement, wherein, theelectrical power switch 106 controlling the activation of the rolling and roundingcircle 104 surface, which designated to clean the shoe and sole automatically, even without any leg movement of the user. Wherein, the top cover of the carpetmain base 102 can be made out of any fabric or materials, and from such as in the mat and carpets exist in the prior-art. The top cover of therounding circle 104 is preferably to be made from a hard fabric with strong and elastic hair. -
FIG. 2 is another upper schematic view that shows an example of oneimplementation 120, included in the current invention, of a motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet device, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein, the electrical carpet devicemain base 122 is a nun-movable section, not connected to the rolling and roundingcircle 124, to enable it to operate in the circular motion. Wherein, when operating theelectrical power switch 128 to an on position, it is operating the electric motor located for example in some hollow space between the upper part of the device and the device lower part that stand on the floor for example, and the electric motor is controlling the activation of the rolling and roundingcircle 124 which meant to clean shoes and soles without any leg movement of the user, but by the circling clockwise 126 for example. One has to understand, that the hollowed space that accommodate some mechanism of the present invention can be located at different area then mentioned, such as in some space of the device that can be higher than the other areas enabling more convenience hollowed space for some parts of the device, furthermore, thepower switch 128 is just one example, another implementations can be for example, an automatic operational power switch that operates when the user step on the rolling and roundingcircle 124 by closing an electric circuit by that operation, or an implementation with ahidden power switch 128, for example, to prevent undesirable or unintentional operations of the device. Furthermore, as the electric mat device including an electric power source that operates the electric motor, some implementations of the electric mat of the present invention can be combined with a lights effects, lights bulbs, such as a LED (Light Emitted Diode). Preferably, the carpet designed in a way that the user can stand when thecleaning circle 124 is between his legs, so it will be easy to the user to move one leg at the time from hisposition 130 to thecleaning area 124. -
FIG. 3 is a front side schematic view that shows an example of oneimplementation 140, included in the current invention, of a motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet device, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein, in this front side schematic view one skilled in the art can notice that the device has some distance between its top to its bottoms, this is for the frame borders of thedevice 140, however, the main reason is the necessity to allowed, at list in partial, a hollowed space inside thedevice 140, to enables the accommodation of the device mechanism and operating systems. Wherein, the “Electrical Carpet Device” nun-movingsection 144 designated for the user standing on, wherein, theElectrical power switch 146 controlling the activation of the rolling androunding circle section 142 which meant to clean the shoes and sole of the user without any leg movement by the user. -
FIG. 4 is another front side schematic view that shows an example of oneimplementation 160, included in the current invention, of a motorized electric operating entrance mat and carpet device, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein, the electrical carpet device standing area is a nun-movable base 166, wherein,button 168 is an electrical power switch controlling the activation and the stop-activation of the rolling and roundingcircle 162, which designated to clean the shoes and sole even without any leg movement by the user. Wherein, the roundingcircle cleaning unit 162 is connected to theelectrical motor 172 by inserting theelectrical motor pin 164 into the cover unit in the roundingcircle cleaning unit 162. Wherein, theelectric motor unit 172 is attached to thecarpet base unit 174 which also holds themain base carpet 166 by few attached points [indicated inFIG. 5 ], and therounding circle unit 162 main space is sitting onslick surface unit 170, and optionally having a shock absorbing device and mechanism to allows the user a convenient feeling when the user is stepping on theactive area 162 with changeable force. Wherein, theelectrical circuit 162 is powered by anelectric battery 176, or optionally, by an electric wire connected to some outer permanent electric connection of the house for example, optionally, with an AC to DC transformation device. -
FIG. 5 is a mat main parts schematic view that shows an example of oneimplementation 180, included in the current invention, of an electric entrance mat, entrance carpet designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein,FIG. 5 is the parts view of theelectrical carpet implementation 180. - Wherein, the electrical carpet nun-
movable base 196 for example, is the standing area for example, wherein, theelectric power switch 198 controls the activation of the, active area, the rolling and roundingcircle 182. The roundingcircle cleaning unit 182 is connected to theelectrical motor 188 by inserting theelectrical motor pin 186 into thecover unit 184 in the rounding circle cleaning unit, and, theelectrical motor unit 188 is attached to thecarpet base unit 200 which also holds the nun-movable base carpet 196 by few attachedpoints 202, and the roundingcircle unit 182 main space is supported on theslick surface unit 192. Wherein, the electrical circuit is powered by anelectric battery 204. -
FIG. 6 is an upper schematic view that shows an example of anotherimplementation 300, included in the current invention, of an electric entrance mat, entrance carpet, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. movable base 308, designated for the user standing area, or for the user standing and self cleaning area of the carpet and mat. Wherein,button 306 is the electrical power switch controlling the activation of the rolling and roundingroll 302 which meant to clean the shoe without any leg movement. Wherein, different from the first implementation ofFIG. 1-5 , in which the active part located in the upper mat surface, in same level, or a bit higher from the standing nun-movable area of the mat, the currentactive part 302 is just connected to the mat, and almost separated completely from themat standing area 308, and the activating rolling and roundingroll 302 designated to clean the user shoes and soles is a cylindrical shape and turning on its axis. Wherein, the top cover of the carpetmain base 308 can be made by any fabric or other material fitted to the goals of such entrance carpet and mat, preferably, the top cover of the roundingroll 302 can be made hard fabric with strong and elastic hair. -
FIG. 7 is another upper schematic view that shows an example of theimplementation 330 shown inFIG. 6 , included in the current invention, of an electric entrance mat, entrance carpet, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein, the roundingroll 332 is attached to the carpet by anaxis 336 in both sides. -

Claims (18)
1. Method for an electrical motorized entrance mat and carpet, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein, the Method includes the following principles:
A. The entrance mat includes two type of cleaning surfaces, a). One is a nun-movable surface, designated: 1) for the user standing, and furthermore, 2) for the user self cleaning his shoes and soles, by his own body energy; b). Wherein, the second, is an electric motorized surface. Wherein;
The user nun-movable surface is from at list two sides of the electric motorized surface, enabling the user to stand and balance his body from two feet to a one feet on the nun-movable surface, balancing his second feet toward the moving electric motorized surface, directing his shoe or sole to the circular mechanized moving electric motorized surface to the purpose of cleaning his shoe or sole, wherein, the entrance mat includes in its mechanism at list an electric motor, an electric power source, on and of mechanism or switch that open or closing an electric circuit, connecting or disconnecting the electric power from the electric motor, and a connection that enabling the controlling and the activation of the rolling and rounding circle which meant to clean shoes and soles without any leg movement of the user, but by the circling clockwise for example.
2. Method as in claim 1 , wherein, the moving electric motorized surface is a circular plate, wherein; such plate located at the center, or close to the center of the entrance mat upper surface, enabling from each side of it a standing surface to one feet of the user, wherein; such circular plate connected to an electric motor, and electric power source operating the mechanism, wherein; these, enabling its operation in a circular motion; wherein, a cover on the plate enabling the user to put each time one of his shoe and sole on the moving plate enabling an automatic scrubbing and cleaning from the shoe and sole.

Method as in claim 2 , wherein, the moving electric motorized circular plate, located in some of the implementations of the present invention, at a close level, or similar level of the entrance mat upper surface designated for the shoes and sole cleaning, wherein, in other implementations of the present invention this plate located higher, or lower from the entrance mat upper surface.
4. Method as claimed in claims 1 , 2 and 3 , wherein, the electric motorized section of the entrance mat has a sock absorbing mechanism beneath it, enabling the user a better smooth motions when the user changing positions or body balance.
5. Method as claimed in claims 1 , 2 , 3 and 4 , wherein, the user nun-movable surface is from one side of the electric motorized surface.
6. Method as claimed in claims 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 and 5 , wherein, the moving electric motorized section of the entrance mat, is not in a circular plate shapes, but in a cylindrical shape, wherein, such electric motorized section turnings in circles on its side, enabling the user to put each time one of his shoe and sole on the cylindrical motorized section, which covered with fitted materials, such as used in industries, or at carpets industries, as an example, optionally, enabling the cylindrical motorized section at some side of the entrance mat upper nun-movable surface, preferably, at a higher height.
7. Method as claimed in claims 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 and 6 , wherein, when operating the electrical power switch to an on position, it is operating the electric motor located for example in some hollow space between the upper part of the device and the device lower part that stand on the floor for example.
8. Method as claimed in claim 7 , wherein, the hollowed space that accommodate some mechanism of the present invention can be located at different areas then, such as in some space of the device that can be higher than the other areas enabling more convenience hollowed space for some parts of the device, furthermore, the power switch is just one example, another implementations can be for example, an automatic operational power switch that operates when the user step on the rolling and rounding circle by closing an electric circuit by that operation, or an implementation with a hidden power switch, for example, to prevent undesirable or unintentional operations of the device. Optionally, as the electric mat device including an electric power source that operates the electric motor, some implementations of the electric mat of the present invention can be combined with a lights effects, lights bulbs, such as a LED (Light Emitted Diode).
9. Method as claimed in claim 8 , wherein, upper parts of the electrical motorized entrance mat having a carpet materials surface, detachable, or replaceable, or permanent connected to some section and frame of the entrance mat.
10. An electrical motorized entrance mat and carpet, designated for cleaning the user shoes and soles before entering to some building, or houses, as in the present invention. Wherein, such electrical motorized entrance mat includes the following principles:
A. The entrance mat includes two type of cleaning surfaces, a). One is a nun-movable surface, designated: 1) for the user standing, and furthermore, 2) for the user self cleaning his shoes and soles, by his own body energy; b). Wherein, the second, is an electric motorized surface. Wherein;
The user nun-movable surface is from at list two sides of the electric motorized surface, enabling the user to stand and balance his body from two feet to a one feet on the nun-movable surface, balancing his second feet toward the moving electric motorized surface, directing his shoe or sole to the circular mechanized moving electric motorized surface to the purpose of cleaning his shoe or sole, wherein, the entrance mat includes in its mechanism at list an electric motor, an electric power source, on and of mechanism or switch that open or closing an electric circuit, connecting or disconnecting the electric power from the electric motor, and a connection that enabling the controlling and the activation of the rolling and rounding circle which meant to clean shoes and soles without any leg movement of the user, but by the circling clockwise for example.

Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claim 10 , wherein, the moving electric motorized surface is a circular plate, wherein; such plate located at the center, or close to the center of the entrance mat upper surface, enabling from each side of it a standing surface to one feet of the user, wherein; such circular plate connected to an electric motor, and electric power source operating the mechanism, wherein; these, enabling its operation in a circular motion; wherein, a cover on the plate enabling the user to put each time one of his shoe and sole on the moving plate enabling an automatic scrubbing and cleaning from the shoe and sole.

Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claim 11 , wherein, the moving electric motorized circular plate, located in some of the implementations of the present invention, at a close level, or similar level of the entrance mat upper surface designated for the shoes and sole cleaning, wherein, in other implementations of the present invention this plate located higher, or lower from the entrance mat upper surface.
13. Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claims 10 , 11 and 12 , wherein, the electric motorized section of the entrance mat has a sock absorbing mechanism beneath it, enabling the user a better smooth motions when the user changing positions or body balance.
14. Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claims 10 , 11 and 12 , and 13, wherein, the user nun-movable surface is from one side of the electric motorized surface.
15. Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claims 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 and 14 , wherein, the moving electric motorized section of the entrance mat, is not in a circular plate shapes, but in a cylindrical shape, wherein, such electric motorized section turnings in circles on its side, enabling the user to put each time one of his shoe and sole on the cylindrical motorized section, which covered with fitted materials, such as used in industries, or at carpets industries, as an example, optionally, enabling the cylindrical motorized section at some side of the entrance mat upper nun-movable surface, preferably, at a higher height.
16. Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claims 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 , 14 and 15 , wherein, when operating the electrical power switch to an on position, it is operating the electric motor located for example in some hollow space between the upper part of the device and the device lower part that stand on the floor for example.
17. Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claim 16 , wherein, the hollowed space that accommodate some mechanism of the present invention can be located at different areas then, such as in some space of the device that can be higher than the other areas enabling more convenience hollowed space for some parts of the device, furthermore, the power switch is just one example, another implementations can be for example, an automatic operational power switch that operates when the user step on the rolling and rounding circle by closing an electric circuit by that operation, or an implementation with a hidden power switch, for example, to prevent undesirable or unintentional operations of the device. Optionally, as the electric mat device including an electric power source that operates the electric motor, some implementations of the electric mat of the present invention can be combined with a lights effects, lights bulbs, such as a LED (Light Emitted Diode).
18. Electrical motorized entrance mat as in claim 17 , wherein, upper parts of the electrical motorized entrance mat having a carpet materials surface, detachable, or replaceable, or permanent connected to some section and frame of the entrance mat.
