Description

    REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • This application is being filed as a Divisional application of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 13/214,839, filed 22 Aug. 2011, currently pending.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Technical Field
  • The present invention is related to side-carrying bags and more particularly, to a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, which provides a double-shoulder side-carrying function subject to the arrangement of a shoulder stand.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Regular commercial shoulder bags include two types, namely, the back-carrying type and the side-carrying type. A back-carrying type shoulder bag, for example, backpack, has two shoulder straps for enabling the weight of the shoulder bag to be evenly distributed through the user's two shoulders, facilitating carrying heavy items or long-time carrying application.
  • When using a back-carrying bag, the user will carry the back-carrying bag on the back. When going to pick up a storage item from the back-carrying bag, the user may need to remove the back-carrying bag from the shoulders. In other words, the user cannot easily pick up storage items from the back-carrying bag that is carried on the back.
  • A side-carrying bag has a single shoulder strap connected to the bag body thereof. By means of the shoulder strap, a user can carry the side-carrying bag on one shoulder. When carrying the side-carrying bag on one shoulder, the user can adjust the position of the bag body to the user's front side, one lateral side or back side conveniently when desired. In other words, the user can pick up storage items from the side-carrying bag easily without removing the side-carrying bag from the shoulder.
  • However, when using a side-carrying bag, the shoulder bears all the weight of the side-carrying bag. Therefore, a side-carrying bag is not suitable for carrying heavy items or for a long-time application.
  • SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
  • It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, which enables the shoulder strap to be rested on the user's two shoulders when the user carries the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, eliminating the drawback of conventional side-carrying bags that are not suitable for carrying heavy items or long period carrying application.
  • It is another object of the present invention to provide a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, which enables the user to access to the storage items in the hag body conveniently when the user is carrying the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag on the shoulders.
  • It is still another object of the present invention to provide a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, which uses at least one connection ring to connect the shoulder strap to the bag body thereof in such a manner that the shoulder strap defines a first shoulder strap portion and a second shoulder strip portion at two opposite sides relative to the at least one connection ring, and the first shoulder strap portion and the second shoulder strip portion form a loop structure. Thus, the first shoulder strap portion and the second shoulder strip portion are respectively rested on the user's two shoulders when the user carries the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag. Further, the connection ring is movable along the shoulder strap to change the length of the first shoulder strap portion and the length of the second shoulder strip portion, enhancing the convenience of use.
  • It is still another object of the present invention to provide a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, which uses at least one extension strap and at least one connection ring to connect the shoulder strap to the bag body, allowing adjustment of the center of gravity of the bag body relative to the use so that the user's two shoulders can bear approximately the equal weight, avoiding falling of the shoulder strap from the user's shoulders.
  • It is still another object of the present invention to provide a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag, which uses a supplementary strap to connect the shoulder strap and the bag body so that the bag body can be positively kept at the user's one lateral side or back side, facilitating carrying.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2, a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention is shown. The dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 comprises a bag body 11, a first connection ring 131 and a shoulder strap 15. The first connection ring 131 is coupled to a first lateral side 111 of the bag body 11. The shoulder strap 15 is inserted through the first connection ring 131 and connected to a second lateral side 113 of the bag body 11.
  • The shoulder strap 15 is defined as a first shoulder strap portion 151 and a second shoulder strap portion 153 at two opposite sides relative to the first connection ring 131. The first shoulder strap portion 151 and the second shoulder strap portion 153 form a loop structure 152. Further, the shoulder strap 15 has a total length greater than 170 cm. In this first embodiment, the two distal ends of the shoulder strap 15 are directly connected to the second lateral side 113 of the bag body 11.
  • When using the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10, as illustrated in FIG. 2, sleeve the loop structure 152 onto the user's head 12 to let the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the second shoulder strap portion 153 be respectively rested on the user's left and right shoulders. When carrying the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10, the total weight of the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 is evenly distributed through the user's left and right shoulders. Thus, the user can carry the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 for a long period of time, or use the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 to carry heavy items.
  • As the shoulder strap 15 is inserted through the first connection ring 131 and connected to the second lateral side 113 of the bag body 11, the connection ring 131 can be moved along the shoulder strap 15 to adjust the length of the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the length of the second shoulder strap portion 153. In other words, the length of the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the length of the second shoulder strap portion 153 are not fixed, however the total length of the shoulder strap 15 (i.e., the combined length of the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the second shoulder strap portion 153) is fixed.
  • Further, when carrying the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10, the user 12 can adjust the length of the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the length of the second shoulder strap portion 153 to keep the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the second shoulder strap portion 153 in positive contact with the respective shoulders, enhancing positioning and enabling the total weight of the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 to be evenly distributed through the left and right shoulders of the user 12.
  • Further, when carrying the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10, the user 12 can also adjust the relative position of the bag body 11 of the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 without removing the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 from the shoulders, for example, the user 12 can adjust the bag body 11 to the user's front side, one lateral side or back side, facilitating access to storage items in the bag body 11 of the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10.
  • Thus, the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 has the advantages of conventional side-carrying bags and back-carrying bags, suitable for a long period carrying application and facilitating the user 12 to access to the storage items in the bag body 11.
  • There is a relationship between the length of the shoulder strap 15 and the body height of the user 12. When the user 12 is carrying the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10, the bag body 11 of the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 10 is preferably kept around the waist. In one embodiment of the invention, the optimal length of the shoulder strap 15 is greater than the body height of the user 12.
  • In a second embodiment of the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 3, the shoulder strap 15 is coupled to the first lateral side 111 and second lateral side 113 of the bag body 11 by a first connection ring 131 and a second connection ring 133 respectively, and the two distal ends of the shoulder strap 15 are connected together. Further, after insertion through the first connection ring 131 and the second connection ring 133, the shoulder strap 15 can be moved relative to the first connection ring 131 and the second connection ring 133 to adjust the length of the first shoulder strap portion 151 and the length of the second shoulder strap portion 153, facilitating carrying by the user 12.
  • In a third embodiment of the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 3A, the shoulder strap 15 is detachably coupled to the bag body 11 by snap rings 16. For example, two snap rings 16 are coupled to the shoulder strap 15 for detachably connecting the shoulder strap 15 to the first connection ring 131 and the second connection ring 133 at the two opposite lateral sides of the bag body 11.
  • FIGS. 4A and 413 illustrate a dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag in accordance with a fourth embodiment of the present invention. This fourth embodiment is substantially similar to aforesaid first embodiment with the exception that the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 100 further comprises a supplementary strap 17. The supplementary strap 17 has its one end connected to the bag body 11, and its other end connected to the shoulder strap 15. Thus, the supplementary strap 17 can enhance the stability of the position of the bag body 11 relative to the user 12. Further, the supplementary strap 17 can be connected to the shoulder strap 15 by a buckle 18. By means of the buckle 18, the supplementary strap 17 can be connected to or disconnected from the shoulder strap 15 conveniently. Another buckle may be used to detachably connect the supplementary strap 17 to the bag body 11. Thus, the supplementary strap 17 can be detachably attached to the dual shoulder strap side-carrying bag 100.
