Abstract
The bicycle carrying bag includes a main bag and a shoulder strap. The main bag is composed of a bag sheet and a soft pad top-dressed on the bag sheet. Edges of the bag sheet are disposed with a first zipper and a second zipper to make the bag sheet form a bag body. Two blanks are remained between the two zippers and are disposed with a pair of Velcro patches. The shoulder strap includes a belt and two belt connectors. Each the belt connector is composed of a first member and a second member. The first member is located at an end of the belt. A loop is formed when the first and second members are engaged for looping up a frame and wheel of a bicycle. The shoulder strap may pass through the pair of Velcro patches.
Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The invention relates to bags, particularly to bicycle carrying bags.
- 2. Related Art
- In recent years, cycling becomes very popular in the world and can be used for sport, recreation and transportation. Besides cycling in areas near rider's homes, some riders will carry those own bicycles to other distant places or even foreign countries. The best way of carrying a bicycle is to use a main bag. A typical main bag is a zippered nonwoven pouch with handles emerging therefrom. When a bicycle is put in the pouch and the bag is lifted up, the bottom of the bag and the junctions of the pouch and handles will bear the weight of the loaded bicycle. As a result, the bag is easy to be broken at these positions.
- On the other hand, stowing a bicycle into a nonwoven bag can accomplish the object of carrying, but it cannot protect the stowed bicycle very well. Components and frame of the bicycle tend to be damaged if it collides with hard objects. Some existing main bags add a small-sized pad to protect the rear derailleur, which is the weakest part of a bicycle. However, the pad can provide local protection only, and it cannot protect a whole bicycle. Because of the insufficient protection provided by current main bags, it is unavailable to take a plane with carrying a bicycle stowed in a bag. Those riders who take a plane always need a carton to pack their bicycles. This is very inconvenient.
- An object of the invention is to provide a bicycle carrying bag with a soft pad, which can sweepingly protect a bicycle stowed in the bag. This bag can prevent the bicycle from being damaged from collision. Also, the bicycle with the bag can be carried in a plane without packing in a carton. The soft pad may be selectively removed from the bag for light weight applications.
- To accomplish the above object of the invention, the integrated cycling mobility bag of the invention includes a main bag and a shoulder strap.
- Besides, the invention also has the advantages as follows:
- 1. The bag sheet can spread to serve as a ground sheet and the ground sheet is provided with rings for being secured on the ground with a tent.
- 2. The soft pad can spread on the bag sheet to serve a sleeping pad.
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of the invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the shoulder strap; and -
FIG. 3 is a schematic view of the invention in use. - Please refer to
FIG. 1 . The bicycle carrying bag includes amain bag 1 and ashoulder strap 2. Themain bag 1 is used to stow abicycle 9 and is composed of abag sheet 11 and asoft pad 14. Edges of thebag sheet 11 are disposed with afirst zipper 111 and asecond zipper 112. These twozippers bag sheet 11 be able to form a bag body. Twoblanks 13 are remained between the twozippers blanks 13 are disposed with a pair of Velcropatches patches zippers - The
shoulder strap 14 is spread on the internal side of thebag sheet 11. The area of thesoft pad 14 is about at least 90% of that of thespread bag sheet 11. Thesoft pad 14 can cloak the bicycle when thebag sheet 11 is folded to form a bag. Thesoft pad 14 can be directly spread on thebag sheet 11 without fixation or the inner side of thebag sheet 11 is provided with twoelastics soft pad 14 between thebag sheet 11 and theelastics - Preferably, edges of the
bag sheet 11 may be additionally provided withrings 15. Thebag sheet 11 with thesoft pad 14 can be coupled to a tent (not shown) with theserings 15 to serve as a mat or sleeping pad. - Please refer to
FIG. 2 . Theshoulder strap 2 includes abelt 21 and twobelt connectors belt connectors first member second member first member second member second members first members belt 21 and each of thesecond members belt 21 and near the corresponding one of thefirst members belt 21 when the first andsecond members wheel 91 of abicycle 9 and theshoulder strap 2 passes through the pair of Velcropatches shoulder strap 2 can directly lift up thebicycle 9. Furthermore, the Velcropatches shoulder strap 2 to pass through theblanks 13, but also seal up the rest ofblanks 13 except the portions occupied by theshoulder strap 2. - Please refer to
FIG. 6 . As shown in the figure, because theshoulder strap 2 directly binds abicycle 9, the weight of thebicycle 9 is born by a user through theshoulder strap 2 while themain bag 1 does not bear any weight or pressure. Instead, themain bag 1 just attaches on thebicycle 9 to form a protective layer. - It will be appreciated by persons skilled in the art that the above embodiment has been described by way of example only and not in any limitative sense, and that various alterations and modifications are possible without departure from the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
