The brick connections hitherto known are not sufiicient to meet all requirements and are not capable of taking up the tensional and pressure force components which occur, so that a shifting of the building parts does not occur.
These disadvantages are entirely overcome according to the invention, which relates to manufactured building elements, which differ advantageously from the known types in that they are provided on their circumference at suitable points in the longitudinal section with dove tailed elements tapering on each side, which are present either as projections from or as depressions in the bricks. These bricks are connected together by these coped dove tailed elements, which are situated in circular arrangement. The separation of the finished laid bricks cannot be effected in horizontal, diagonal or vertical direction and is only possible if the brick to be removed is moved in the circular path of the connection profile.
Several embodiments of the invention are illustrated by way of example in the accompanying drawing in which:
Fig. 1 shows diagrammatically a curb stone connection.

Fig. 4 shows a street pavement laid with square bricks with eight surrounding bricks interlockingly engaged with each square brick.

The examples illustrated in the drawing can evidently be considerably multipled. The principle of the invention consists in the employment of bricks provided with dove tailed elements in the form of projections or depressions tapered on all sides in circular arrangement, with which the other bricks or building elements are connected. These dove tailed elements tapered to all sides may be arranged according to the kind of the 5 brick to be used, extending tapered on all sides, corners, edges, upwardly or downwardly. The purpose of the actual building object determines the arrangement. In Fig. 2 for example, a groove 2 of dove tailed cross-section extending tapered 10 on all sides is provided, whereas the plinth 3, on which the curb stone is to be fastened, has corresponding dove tailed projections 4, as shown in the drawing.
In the connecting elements 5, shown in Figs. 5 15 t and 6, projections 6 of dove tailed cross section extending tapered on all sides are provided and are curved and situated at the corners of the building elements 5. These dove tailed projections terminate below the upper edge I of the 20 building and connecting element so that, when the element is laid they lie covered. In Figs. 8 and 9 these dove tailed projections are provided on the side edges of the rectangular building elements 5 and have straight side edges, whereas in 25 Fig. 10 the side edges of the projections 6 are again curved. 'Ihese projections also terminate below the upper surface I of the building element. Instead of these raised dove tailed projections similarly constructed dove tailed depressions can 30 be cut out from the building element. A determining factor is the laying of the brick, and it is of fundamental importance whether this is effected normally in bond or cross bond. The desired diameters of the depressions for the projec- 35 tions to be stamped out later are positively determined and depend upon how many surrounding building elements are to be included.
I claim:
Building brick connection, especially for road paving, comprising pier bricks and bricks grouped around said pier bricks, said pier bricks having on their side faces projections of dove-tailed cross section extending from the base surface to the top surface and narrowing on all sides in up- Ward direction, and the bricks grouped around said pier bricks having corresponding recesses adapted to engage the projections on said pier bricks.
