Abstract

The present invention is a traveling dice game that includes a base casing, a pair of dice rolled to control a plurality of actions one or more players take while playing the traveling dice game, a pencil and a writing tablet that maintains a record of a plurality of notes or information related to the traveling dice game. The game also includes a plurality of pins, a top cover removably placed on the base casing to cover the base casing, a handle disposed on the base casing that is grasped to facilitate carrying the traveling dice game and a fastener disposed on the traveling dice game to releasably secure the top cover to the base casing. The pair of dice determines a number of plurality of pin combinations that are placed upward and downward that determine a number of points generated by each player.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD & BACKGROUND

Individuals are constantly searching for new and fun games for entertainment whether at home or during trips. Presently, there are limited options in portable yet simple amusing games which can be played anywhere.
The present invention generally relates to a game. More specifically, the invention is a traveling dice game.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a traveling dice game that is relatively small in size and has a convenient handle for relatively easy transport.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a traveling dice game that can be transported and played anywhere.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a traveling dice game that can be played in a plurality of combinations to help prevent memory loss.
What is really needed is a traveling dice game that is relatively small in size and has a convenient handle for relatively easy transport that can be transported and played anywhere that can be played in a plurality of combinations to help prevent memory loss.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
FIG. 1A illustrates a top perspective view of a traveling dice game 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The traveling dice game 100 includes a base casing 110, a pair of dice 120, a pencil 130, a writing tablet 140 and a plurality of pins 150. The base casing 110 has an interior 112 with a first end 114, a dice holder compartment 116 and a middle partition 118. An aperture 115 is disposed on the first end 114 to facilitate separation of a top cover (FIG. 1B, 160) to facilitate opening the traveling dice game 100. The base casing 110 can be made of wood or plastic or any other suitable material. The pair of dice 120 is rolled to control a plurality of actions one or more players take while playing the traveling dice game 100. The pencil 130 is utilized to write any notes and information related to the traveling dice game 100. The writing tablet 140 maintains a record of any notes or information related to the traveling dice game 100 written by the one or more players using the pencil 130. The plurality of pins 150 are placed in an upright position and are placed downward as part of the traveling dice game 100. The plurality of pins 150 have a number 1-9 disposed on a top portion 152 of each of the plurality of pins 150.
The object of the traveling dice game 100 is to get all of the plurality of pins 150 in a downward position. To achieve this, a player simply rolls the pair of dice 120. If the player rolls a total of 9 between the pair of dice 120, for example, the player then turns down the plurality of pin 150 combinations which equal 9 (i.e., 8+1, 7+2, 5+3+1 or 4+3+2). The same player will then roll the pair of dice 120 once more, and if the number does not have the same number of pair of pins 120 in the upward position, that player's turn is over. The numbers are then added up, and that becomes the score for that particular player. The next player follows accordingly, with the lowest final number of pair of pins 120 in the upward position winning the traveling dice game 100 with a tie leading to a rematch.
FIG. 1B illustrates a side view of a traveling dice game 100, according to an embodiment of the present invention. The traveling dice game 100 illustrated and described in FIG. 1B is similar to the traveling dice game 100 illustrated and described in FIG. 1A and includes all of the similar components such as the base casing 110, the pair of dice 120, the pencil 130, the writing tablet 140 and the plurality of pins 150 in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B.
The traveling dice game 100 additionally includes a top cover 160, a handle 170 and a fastener 180. The top cover 160 is removably placed on the base casing 110 to cover the base casing 110. The top cover 160 can be made of wood, plastic or any other suitable material. The handle 170 is disposed on the first end 114 of the base casing 110 that is grasped to facilitate carrying the traveling dice game 100. The fastener 180 can be disposed anywhere on the traveling dice game 100 to removably secure the top cover 160 to the base casing 110. The fastener 180 can be one or more buckles or one or more other suitable fasteners.
The traveling dice box is a game made of a compact wooden or plastic box containing a set of numbered pins, a pair of dice into a built-in dice holder, and a writing tablet and a pencil, where any related traveling dice game information is recorded. The traveling dice box features a compact box with a handle for optimal portability, a top lid which fastens to the bottom lid in order to promote a secure grip, as well as an aperture between the two lids which facilitates opening the box. The traveling dice box is well-suited for one or more multiple players, and may be readily available in a variety of colors and designs to suit the diverse preferences of consumers.
While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.

Claims

1. A traveling dice game, comprising:

a base casing having a substantially planar interior with a first end, a dice holder compartment integral with the base casing and sized to hold two dice in frictional contact with no portion of the dice extending above the highest point of the base casing, a second end, and a middle partition disposed horizontally across the base casing such that it forms a raised structural boundary between said first end and said second end;

a pair of dice configured to be rolled to control a plurality of actions one or more players take while playing said traveling dice game;

a pencil utilized to write any notes and information related to said traveling dice game;

a writing tablet utilized to maintain a record of a plurality of notes or information related to said traveling dice game written by said one or more players using said pencil;

a plurality of pins each with a top portion, said plurality of pins configured to be placed in an upright position and placed downward as part of said traveling dice game;

a top cover removably placed on said base casing to cover said base casing;

a handle disposed on said first end of said base casing configured to be grasped to facilitate carrying said traveling dice game; and

a fastener disposed on said traveling dice game, said fastener configured to releasably secure said top cover to said base casing.

2. The traveling dice game according to claim 1, wherein said first end includes an aperture to facilitate separation of said top cover from said base casing to facilitate opening said traveling dice game.

3. The traveling dice game according to claim 1, wherein said base casing is made of plastic.

4. The traveling dice game according to claim 1, wherein said base casing is made of wood.

5. The traveling dice game according to claim 1, wherein said plurality of pins have one number in the range of 1-9 disposed on said top portion of each of said plurality of pins.

6. The traveling dice game according to claim 1, wherein said top cover is made of plastic.

7. The traveling dice game according to claim 1, wherein said top cover is made of wood.

8. A traveling dice game, comprising:

a base casing having a substantially planar interior with a first end, a dice holder compartment integral with the base casing and sized to hold two dice in frictional contact with no portion of the dice extending above the highest point of the base casing, a second end and a middle partition disposed horizontally across the base casing such that it forms a raised structural boundary between said first end and said second end, said first end includes an aperture to facilitate separation of said traveling dice game;

a plurality of pins each with a top portion, said plurality of pins configured to be placed in an upright position and are placed downward as part of said traveling dice game, said plurality of pins have a number in the range of 1-9 disposed on said top portion of each of said plurality of pins;

a top cover removably placed on said base casing to cover said base casing;

9. The traveling dice game according to claim 8, wherein said base casing is made of plastic.

10. The traveling dice game according to claim 8, wherein said base casing is made of wood.

11. The traveling dice game according to claim 8, wherein said top cover is made of plastic.

12. The traveling dice game according to claim 8, wherein said top cover is made of wood.

13. The traveling dice game according to claim 8, wherein said base casing is adapted to allow the placing of all of said plurality of pins in a downward position.

14. A traveling dice game, comprising:

a base casing having a substantially planar interior with a first end, a dice holder compartment integral with the base casing and sized to hold two dice in frictional contact with no portion of the dice extending above the highest point of the base casing, a second end, and a middle partition disposed horizontally across the base casing such that it forms a raised structural boundary between said first end and said second end, said first end includes an aperture to facilitate separation of said base casing to facilitate opening said traveling dice game;

a plurality of pins each with a top portion, said plurality of pins configured to be placed in an upright position and placed downward as part of said traveling dice game, said plurality of pins have a number in the range of 1-9 disposed on said top portion of each of said plurality of pins;

a top cover removably placed on said base casing to cover said base casing;

15. The traveling dice game according to claim 14, wherein said base casing is made of plastic.

16. The traveling dice game according to claim 14, wherein said base casing and said top cover are made of wood.

17. The traveling dice game according to claim 14, wherein said top cover is made of plastic.
