Abstract

A sole for working boots having a head portion and a heel portion includes a protection plate securely formed on the heel portion and having a curvature adapted to correspond to that of the heel portion.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application claims priority from application No. 101200049, filed on Jan. 2, 2012 in the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention is related to a sole, and more particularly to a sole for a pair of working boots. The sole is provided with a protection plate integrally formed on a heel portion of the sole to protect the user's heel from injury caused by impact of a foreign object or pointed piercing object.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • Workers working in vast variety of environments often require maximum protection for their feet from all kinds of accidents, i.e., pointed and piercing object from the ground, puncture from above and maybe even sideways. For example, miners working in a mine often require safety boots to protect their feet from the falling rocks. In order to do so, each of the safety boots is equipped with a steel plate mounted in the front portion thereof so that the miners' feet are protected.
  • Even with so many different safety or working boots available in the market, it seems that there is no design in the safety or working boots to protect the wearers' heel portions. Even though injury to the heel portion is not common in the highly hazardous working environment, workers still get hurt from time to time. As a result, it is necessary to provide a working boots with design in the heel portion to protect the wearer's heel portion from injury.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a sole for working boots to protect wearer's heel portion.
  • Another objective of the present invention is to provide a sole with a protection plate integrally formed with the sole to protect the user's heel portion.
  • Still another objective of the present invention is that the protection plate has a curvature adapted to correspond to that of the heel portion of the sole.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the sole of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a working boot with the sole of the present invention securely attached thereto.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference to FIG. 1, it is noted that the sole 10 constructed in accordance with the present invention includes a head portion 100 and a heel portion 101 integrally formed with the head portion 100. According to the depiction of FIG. 1, it is known that the heel portion 101 has a curvature previously designed to adapt to different size requirements.
  • Still further, a protection plate 11 made of steel is integrally provided to the heel portion 101 and has a curvature corresponding to that of the heel portion 101. The protection plate 11 is vertical to a bottom face of the sole 10.
  • The sole 10 has a slip-proof element formed on a bottom face thereof. In one embodiment, the slip-proof element includes multiple protrusions extending from a bottom face of the sole 10. In a different embodiment, the slip-proof element includes multiple concaves. In still a different embodiment of the present invention, the sole 1 is made of a water-proof material.
  • With reference to FIG. 2, it is noted that the sole 10 of the present invention is constructed to adapt to an upper 2 such that after the sole 10 constructed in accordance with the present invention is assembled with the upper to form a complete shoe, the protection plate 11 in the heel portion 101 is able to provide the designated purpose, to protect the user's heel portion from injury.
  • With the sole 10 of the present invention mounted inside the working boots, the user's heel portion is securely protected from injury caused by pointed object.
  • While the invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and equivalent arrangements.
