Abstract
A removable footrest for baby high chairs is revealed. The footrest includes locking slots respectively arranged at two sides thereof and mounted on the front tubes of the baby high chair. Each front tube is with at least one locking hole while each locking slot is disposed with a bump corresponding to the locking hole. By the locking slots of the footrest mounted on the two front tubes, the bump is placed into the locking hole so as to fix the footrest between the two front tubes for users' comfort. Moreover, by the footrest set horizontally between the front tubes, the front tubes are supported and the strength of the baby high chair is enhanced. Furthermore, the footrest is easily disassembled from the front tubes and then the volume of the baby high chair is reduced. Thus the packaging cost is reduced.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a removable footrest for baby high chairs, especially to a novel footrest for baby high chairs that is convenient to be assembled/disassembled, having front tubes with enhanced strength and reduced volume for efficient packaging.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Baby high chairs are designed in certain heights to allow parents feeding babies easily. Generally the baby high chair is composed of a chair frame, a seat and a feeding tray. The seat is for babies to sit up. A pair of front tubes and a pair of rear tubes are respectively disposed on a front end and a rear end of the seat. By the chair frame having two front tubes and two rear tubes, the seat is lifted. As to the feeding tray, it is used to put bowls, dishes or food.
- However, the conventional high chair doesn't include a footrest for the baby to put his feet up. Thus the feet of the baby sat on the high chair are dangling and the baby may feel unsteady and uncomfortable.
- There is also a high chair arranged with a footrest. The footrest is fixed between the two front tubes and is unable to be moved. While in use, the footrest fixed between the two front tubes is unable to be folded so that the volume of the high chair is quite large. During transportation and storage, fewer high chairs are set within the same freight container or storage space. This leads to an increase in both transportation cost and storage cost.
- Therefore it is a primary object of the present invention to provide a removable footrest for baby high chairs that usually is assembled with a baby high chair for babies' comfort and is removed from the baby high chair while not in use to minimize the total volume of the baby high chair. While packaging the baby high chairs, the size of packing boxes can be minimized. Thus more baby high chairs can be transported or stored within the same container or storage space. Therefore transportation cost and storage cost are reduced.
- It is another object of the present invention to provide a removable footrest for baby high chairs that is fixed firmly on the baby high chair and is used to put babies' feet up for their comfort.
- It is a further object of the present invention to provide a removable footrest for baby high chairs that is set horizontally between two front tubes of a baby high chair so as to support the two front tubes and increase the strength of the baby high chair.
- In order to achieve the above objects, a removable footrest for baby high chairs of the present invention includes a footrest fixed between two front tubes of a baby high chair. The footrest is arranged intergratedly and having locking slots on two sides thereof. Each locking slot is mounted on one of the two front tubes of the baby high chair. The front tube is arranged with at least one locking hole while a bump corresponding to the locking hole is disposed in each locking slot. The footrest is positioned between the two front tubes by the bump mounted into the locking hole.
- The locking slots on two sides of the footrest are mounted onto the two front tubes and the bump in each locking slot is placed into the locking hole of each front tube correspondingly. Thus the footrest is set stably for baby to put his feet up. At the same time, the two front tubes are supported by the footrest set horizontally between the two front tubes. Thus the structure strength of the baby high chair is increased.
- Moreover, the footrest can be removed from the two front tubes so as to reduce volume of the baby high chair. Thus the packaging cost is down
- The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an explosive view of a high chair and a footrest according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a footrest according to the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is an assembled view of a high chair and a footrest according to the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a partial enlarged top view showing a high chair and a footrest assembled with each other according to the present invention. - Refer to
FIG. 1 , a baby high chair of the present invention includes a sittingpart 1, a plurality of legs arranged at and extending downward from a bottom surface of the sittingpart 1, aseat back 3 disposed on a rear end of the sittingpart 1, and afeeding tray 4 set on a front end of the sittingpart 1. - The
legs 2 consists of a pair offront tubes 21 and a pair ofrear tubes 22 respectively arranged at two sides of the front end and the rear end of the sittingpart 1 for supporting the sittingpart 1 stably. Also refer toFIG. 2 , afootrest 5 is disposed between the twofront tubes 21 of the baby high chair. Thefootrest 5 is attached integratedly and having alocking slot 51 on each of two sides, respectively placed around each of the twofront tubes 21 of the baby high chair. Thefront tube 21 is arranged with at least onelocking hole 211. Abump 211 corresponding to thelocking hole 211 is disposed on eachlocking slot 51 on each side of thefootrest 5. By thebump 511 placed into thelocking hole 211, thefootrest 5 is positioned between the twofront tubes 21 firmly. - For package and storage, the
footrest 5 is removed from the twofront tubes 21 so that the whole volume of the baby high chair is decreased. Thus both packing cost and storage cost are reduced. Refer toFIG. 3 andFIG. 4 , when the baby is sitting in the high chair, thelocking slot 51 on each side of thefootrest 5 is mounted on the twofront tubes 21 of the baby high chair respectively and thebump 511 in eachlocking slot 51 is positioned in thelocking hole 211 of thefront tube 21 correspondingly. Thus thefootrest 5 for baby to put his feet up is firmly fixed between the twofront tubes 21. At the same time, by thefootrest 5 arranged horizontally between the twofront tubes 21, the twofront tubes 21 get a horizontal support. Thus the support of the baby high chair is increased. - Refer to
FIG. 2 andFIG. 4 , apull part 52 that extends outward is arranged at an outer edge of thelocking slot 51 of thefootrest 5. Thus users can apply a force to thepull part 52 and pull thepull part 52 out so that thelocking slot 51 and thebump 511 of thefootrest 5 are respectively released from thefront tube 21 and thelocking hole 211. - In summary, the removable footrest for baby high chairs at least has following advantages:
- 1. The locking slots on the two sides of the footrest are placed around the two front tubes of the baby high chair and the each bump in the locking slot is positioned into the locking hole of each front tube so that the footrest is stably fixed between the two front tubes. Moreover, the assembly and disassembly of the footrest are convenient and easy.
2. The footrest is arranged horizontally between the two front tubes of the baby high chair. Due to the horizontal arrangement of the footrest, a horizontal support force is generated between the two front tubes so as to increase the support of the baby high chair.
3. The footrest can be removed from the two front tubes of the baby high chair. Thus the total volume of the baby high chair is reduced while being packaged or stored. Therefore both packing cost and storage cost are reduced. - Additional advantages and modifications will readily occur to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspects is not limited to the specific details, and representative devices shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalent.
