Description

    (A) TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to an assembled box and, more particularly, to a multi-space box that can be assembled by employing a plurality of rectangular boards to be placed horizontally or vertically and fixedly joined one after another with a plurality of jointing members in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members.
  • (B) DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
  • Generally, storage boxes are made of wood or plastic material. To save space, a user may stack multiple storage boxes. Conventional storage boxes are only provided with a simple structure to assist the user in stacking the boxes. Since conventional storage boxes cannot be interlocked with each other, they are liable to fall down when encountering collisions or vibrations, thereby causing damages to goods and injuries to persons.
  • In view of the drawback of conventional storage boxes, based on the long-term experiences and after constant efforts on the research and experiments of storage boxes, the applicant has contrived a box that can be assembled more conveniently and stacked more securely.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide an assembled box that can be constructed by employing a plurality of rectangular boards to be placed horizontally or vertically and fixedly joined one after another with a plurality of jointing members in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members to prevent the box from falling down when encountering collisions or vibrations.
  • The assembled box comprises a plurality of rectangular boards, a plurality of jointing members, and a plurality of coupling members. Two sides of each rectangular board are each formed with two chamfers. Each rectangular board defines a plurality of side holes and surface holes at four corners thereof, so that each surface hole communicates with and extends substantially perpendicular to a corresponding side hole. Each jointing member is integrally formed with a plurality of pins, each pin having a protrusion formed at one end thereof. Each pin is capable of being inserted into one of the side holes. Each coupling member defines an opening at a bottom thereof and a spiral recess extending at a predetermined length from the opening, so that each coupling member can be inserted into one of the surface holes to be coupled with the protrusion of one pin of one of the jointing members. Thereby, the rectangular boards can be placed horizontally or vertically and fixedly joined one after another by inserting the pins of the jointing members and the coupling members respectively into the side holes and the surface holes to allow each coupling member to be coupled with the protrusion of a pin of a corresponding jointing member so as to form a box containing multiple spaces therein.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Turning now to FIGS. 1, 2, 5, and 6, a first embodiment of an assembled box according to the present invention is shown. The first embodiment comprises a plurality of rectangular boards 1, a plurality of jointing members 2, and a plurality of coupling members 3. Each rectangular board 1 has a first pair of opposite sides (i.e. front side and rear side) and a second pair of opposite sides 12. Each of the second pair of opposite sides 12 is used for contacting its adjacent board. Each of the second pair of opposite sides 12 can be formed with two chamfers 11 for ease of joining another rectangular board. Preferably, each chamfer has an angle of 45 degrees. Each rectangular board 1 defines at least four side holes 13 on the first pair of opposite sides respectively at four corners thereof. Also, each rectangular board 1 defines at least four surface holes 14 on one surface thereof respectively at four corners thereof. Each surface hole 14 communicates with and extends substantially perpendicular to a corresponding side hole 13. It is preferred that eight or more than eight side holes are defined on the first pair of opposite sides, so that each corner of a respective side has two or more than two side holes. It is preferred that eight or more than eight surface holes are defined on one surface of a rectangular board, so that each corner of the rectangular board has two or more than two surface holes.
  • As shown, each jointing member 2 is integrally formed with a plurality of pins 21 that are located at different portions of the jointing member respectively corresponding to the rectangular boards 1 to be fixedly joined together to form a junction, each pin 21 having a protrusion 22 formed at one end thereof. Each pin 21 is capable of being inserted into one of the side holes 13. In more detail, the jointing members 2 are configured to be of L-shape, T-shape, or cross-shape. For an L-shaped jointing member 2, the pins 21 are located at two portions of the member respectively corresponding to two pieces of the rectangular boards 1 (see FIG. 5). For a T-shaped jointing member 2, the pins 21 are located at three portions of the member respectively corresponding to three pieces of the rectangular boards 1 (see FIG. 6). For a cross-shaped jointing member 2, the pins 21 are located at four portions of the member respectively corresponding to four pieces of the rectangular boards (see FIG. 2). Preferably, the pins 21 of each jointing member 2 can be integrally formed with a plate, which is configured to have a shape for decoration.
  • As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, each coupling member 3 has a semicircular finger grip 33 pivotally connected with two opposing ends of a head thereof, so that the semicircular finger grip 33 can be raised upright with the two ends of the head as a center when the coupling member is in use (see FIG. 4); the semicircular finger grip 33 can be put down when the coupling member is not in use (see FIG. 3). Each coupling member 3 defines an opening 31 at a bottom thereof and a spiral recess 32 extending at a predetermined length from the opening 31, so that each coupling member 3 can be inserted into one of the surface holes 14 to be coupled with the protrusion 22 of one pin 21 of one of the jointing members 2 by rotating the semicircular finger grip 33 thereof, so that the rectangular boards 1 associated with a junction can be fixedly joined together by two jointing members 2 each with corresponding coupling members 3.
  • As shown in FIG. 5, two pieces of the rectangular boards 1 can be fixedly joined together by two L-shaped jointing members 2 each in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form a junction at a corner of the assembled box.
  • As shown in FIG. 6, three pieces of the rectangular boards 1 can be fixedly joined together by two T-shaped jointing members 2 each in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form a junction at an outside boundary other than the corners of the assembled box.
  • As shown in FIG. 2, four pieces of the rectangular boards 1 can be fixedly joined together by two cross-shaped jointing members 2 each in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form a junction at an interior boundary of the assembled box.
  • Therefore, the rectangular boards 1 can be placed horizontally or vertically and fixedly joined one after another by the jointing members 2 of various types in cooperation with the coupling members 3 to form an assembled box containing multiple spaces therein.
  • Turning now to FIGS. 7, 8, 9, and 10, a second embodiment of assembled box according to the present invention is shown. The second embodiment comprises a plurality of rectangular boards 1, a plurality of jointing members 2, and a plurality of coupling members 3. Each rectangular board 1 defines at least four side holes 13 on the second pair of opposite sides 12 respectively at four corners thereof. Also, each rectangular board 1 defines at least four surface holes 14 on one surface thereof respectively at four corners thereof. Each surface hole 14 communicates with and extends substantially perpendicular to a corresponding side hole 13.
  • As shown, each jointing member 2 is integrally formed with a plurality of pins 21 respectively corresponding to the rectangular boards 1 to be fixedly joined together to form a junction, each pin having a protrusion 22 formed at one end thereof. Each pin 21 is capable of being inserted into one of the side holes 13. In more detail, the jointing members 2 are configured to be of L-shape, T-shape, or cross-shape. For an L-shaped jointing member 2, the pins are formed respectively corresponding to two pieces of the rectangular boards 1 (see FIG. 8). For a T-shaped jointing member 2, the pins 21 are formed respectively corresponding to three pieces of the rectangular boards 1 (see FIG. 7). For a cross-shaped jointing member 2, the pins 21 are formed respectively corresponding to four pieces of the rectangular boards (see FIG. 9).
  • Regarding the coupling member 3, since it has been described in the first embodiment, a detailed description for it is omitted here. In this embodiment, the rectangular boards 1 can be fixedly joined together by two jointing members 2 with coupling members 3 associated therewith to form a junction.
  • As shown in FIG. 8, two pieces of the rectangular boards 1 can be fixedly joined together by two L-shaped jointing members 2 each in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form a junction at a corner of the assembled box.
  • As shown in FIG. 7, three pieces of the rectangular boards 1 can be fixedly joined together by two T-shaped jointing members 2 each in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form a junction at an outside boundary other than the corners of the assembled box.
  • As shown in FIG. 9, four pieces of the rectangular boards 1 can be joined together by two cross-shaped jointing members 2 each in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form a junction at an interior boundary of the assembled box.
  • Therefore, the rectangular boards 1 can be placed horizontally or vertically and fixedly joined one after another by the jointing members 2 of various types in cooperation with the coupling members 3 to form an assembled box containing multiple spaces therein.
  • Turning now to FIG. 11, a third embodiment of assembled box according to the present invention is shown. In the third embodiment, each of the second pair of opposite sides 12 does not contain chamfers as formed in the first embodiment, so that each of the second pair of opposite sides 12 will be placed in direct contact with its adjacent board. Except for the second pair of opposite sides 12, the third embodiment has a structure almost the same as the first embodiment, and thus a detailed description for this embodiment is omitted here.
  • In light of the foregoing, the present invention employs a plurality of rectangular boards 1 to be fixedly joined together by a plurality of jointing members 2 of various types in cooperation with a plurality of coupling members 3 to form an assembled box containing multiple spaces therein. In the present invention, since the rectangular boards are interlocked with each other, the assembled box can be prevented from falling down when encountering collisions or vibrations.
  • Although the present invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present disclosure is made by way of example only and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention hereinafter claimed.
