Abstract
A detachable cabinet with multiple functions is provided. The cabinet includes a folding frame, a top panel and a bottom panel. The folding frame is foldable to save transport costs. Also, the top panel and the bottom panel are connected to the folding frame the notch and the stud. Therefore, the bench cabinet can be assembled and disassembled easily without tools by users. After assembly, the cabinet would assemble divider panels or drawers to form as a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a cabinet which is adapted for a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet, especially to a detachable cabinet with multiple functions.
- 2. Related Art
- Do it yourself (DIY) modular furniture is currently popular because DIY furniture can be transported easily after being disassembled into component pieces and also can be changed into different forms depending on different requirements. Additionally, people enjoy a sense of achievement when the furniture is completed.
- However, DIY modular furniture still has some disadvantages because tools are needed when the furniture is assembled or disassembled. For example, a conventional DIY cabinet is composed of multiple boards or sheets of materials to fabricate a frame in which objects are held. Fastening devices detachably used to connect adjacent boards or sheets of materials to construct a frame are mostly flat-head or oval-head countersunk screws that require a suitable screwdriver to fasten or release the countersunk screws. Therefore, assembling or disassembling the DIY cabinet is inconvenient or impossible when suitable tools are not available.
- Moreover, DIY cabinet is usually with signal function. If the users would like to use a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet, it needs to buy at least three different cabinets, even the user only use one of them at one time. Hence, it is very inconvenient for users.
- The present invention is, therefore, intended to obviate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in the prior art.
- It is an objective of the present invention to provide a detachable cabinet with multiple functions. The cabinet is easy to assemble for users, and the space-occupied is decreased to save transport cost. Also, the cabinet is adapted for a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet.
- The cabinet according to the present invention includes a folding frame, a top panel and a bottom panel. The folding frame includes a back wall and two folding sidewalls connected two opposite sides respectively. The folding sidewalls are foldable to flatly contact to the back wall, and the folding sidewalls includes studs at a top side and a bottom side of an inner surface. The top panel includes at least one notch at two opposite sides of a bottom surface, and is connected to the folding frame between the sidewalls near the top sides of the sidewalls by the studs fixing to the notch. The bottom panel includes at least one notch at two opposite sides of a bottom surface, and is connected to the folding frame between the sidewalls near the bottom sides of the sidewalls by the studs fixing to the notch.
- The folding sidewalls include a plurality of fixing holes at the inner surface. By fixing supporters or sliders, dividers or drawers can be assembled to form as a floor cabinet, a drawer cabinet or a storage cabinet.

It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description are examples, and are intended to provide further explanation of the invention as claimed.

Wherever possible, the same reference numbers are used in the drawings and the description refers to the same or the like parts.

FIG. 1 is a respective view of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention. - The
cabinet 1 according to the present invention includes afolding frame 10, abottom panel 30 and atop panel 20. Please refer toFIG. 2 , which is a respective view of the folding frame of the cabinet in accordance with the present invention. The foldingframe 10 includes aback wall 11 and two folding sidewalls, afirst folding sidewall 12 and asecond folding sidewall 13, and afront frame 14. Thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 are pivotly connected twoopposite sides front frame 14 is pivotly connected to the other side of thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13. Thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 are formed by two panels which are pivotly connected together. Therefore, by this structure, thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 are foldable toward to theback wall 11 to drive thefront frame 14 to flatly contact to theback wall 11. Please seeFIG. 3 , the space-occupied is decreased to save transport costs or save the storage spaces. - When unfolding, please see
FIG. 4 , theback wall 11 and thefront frame 14 are moved far from each other, until thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 are unfolded, seeFIG. 2 . Also, thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 havestuds 50 at atop side bottom side inner surface top panel 20 includesnotches 40 at twoopposite sides bottom surface 21, and thebottom panel 30 includesnotches 40 at twoopposite sides bottom surface 31. Please seeFIG. 5 , thetop panel 20 and thebottom panel 30 are connected to thefolding frame 10 between thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 near thetop sides sidewalls studs 50 fixing to thenotch 40. - Please refer to
FIG. 6 , thestuds 50 has aneck section 52 and ahead section 51, and theneck section 52 has a proximal end connected to thesidewalls head section 51. Additionally, an outer diameter of thehead section 51 is greater than a diameter of theneck section 52. For example, thestuds 50 may be a bolts. Thenotch 40 is a single opening trough with a smalldimension clamping portion 41. Thehead section 51 of thestuds 50 is put into thenotches 40, and theneck section 52 is tight-fit by theneck section 52 to firmly connection. Thetop panel 20 and thebottom panel 30 can only be disassembled upward perpendicularly. - Therefore, the
cabinet 1 has a storage space S surrounding by thefolding frame 10, thetop panel 20 and thebottom panel 30. The storage space S can be used by the users for storage. Also, thecabinet 1 is easy to assemble or dissemble for the users. - The
cabinet 1 of the present invention is further with multiple functions. Please seeFIG. 7 , thefirst folding sidewall 12 and thesecond folding sidewall 13 further include fixingholes 15 at theinner surface supporters 60 includes a L-shapedbody 61, a insertingportion 62 extending from the back side of the L-shapedbody 61, and a supportingpad 63. The insertingportion 62 is tight-fit in the fixing holes 15 and the supporting pad is adapted to support thedivider panels 16. Please refer toFIG. 8 , thecabinet 1 is formed as a floor cabinet. Furthermore, The L-shapedbody 61 and the insertingportion 62 are made of materials with high strength, such as plastic or metal. And the supportingpad 63 is made of soft materials, such as rubber or foam. - On the other hand, the fixing holes 15 are used to connect the
sliders 17, please refer toFIGS. 9 and 10 . Thedrawers 70 can be mounted thereon to make thecabinet 1 as a drawer cabinet. - Please refer to
FIGS. 11A and 11B , thecabinet 1 further includes astand 80. Thestand 80 includes twotransverse sticks transverse stick plinths plinths lengthwise stick plinths lengthwise sticks male buckle member 71 and afemale buckle member 72 to connect together. Therefore, the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 can be swung to flatly contact with the transverse sticks 81, 82, due to the pivot-connection between theplinths FIG. 11B . - The
male buckle member 71 includes a connectingportion 711 and apivot 712. Themale buckle members 71 are connected to the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 by the connectingportions 21. Themale buckle member 71 is connected to the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 by ascrew 714 in usual way. Thescrew 714 is fixed through a fixinghole 713 to fix in thelengthwise sticks female buckle member 72 includes a connectingportion 721 and asleeve 722. Thefemale buckle members 72 are connected to theplinths portions 721. Thefemale buckle member 72 is connected to theplinths screw 724 in usual way. Thescrew 724 is fixed through a fixinghole 723 to fix in theplinths - Therefore, the
male buckle member 71 is connected to thefemale buckle member 72 by thepivot 712 inserting into thesleeve 722 and tight-fit therein. Thus, the lengthwise sticks 83, 84 and theplinths stand 80. Themale buckle members 71 and thefemale buckle members 72 are connected to form a hinge, especially is a butterfly hinge, which is a common connecting element with low cost and easy to obtain. - Then, the fixing
pillars 801 on the top surface of thestand 80 are connected to theholes 101 of thecabinet 1, seeFIG. 12 , to support thecabinet 1, seeFIG. 13 . - Moreover, please see
FIGS. 14 and 15 , thefolding frame 10 further includes a hangingstick 91 at aback side 113 of theback wall 11. The hangingstick 91 has ainclined plane 911 at abottom surface 912. The fixingstick 92 is fixed on awall surface 93, and has a correspondinginclined plane 921 at atop surface 922. Therefore, thecabinet 1 could be hanged by the hangingstick 91 placing on the fixing stick. - Also, the
cabinet 1 hasfront doors 94 to shield the storage space S for clear, privacy or clean. Thefront door 94 hashandle 941 for users to easy to open. - Additional advantages and modifications will readily occur to those proficient in the relevant fields. The invention in its broader aspects is therefore not limited to the specific details and representative embodiments shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
Claims (17)
1. A cabinet comprising:
a folding frame, including a back wall and two folding sidewalls connected two opposite sides respectively, wherein the folding sidewalls are foldable to flatly contact to the back wall, and the folding sidewalls including studs at a top side and a bottom side of an inner surface;
a top panel, including at least one notch at two opposite sides of a bottom surface, the top panel being connected to the folding frame between the sidewalls near the top sides of the sidewalls by the studs fixing to the notch; and
a bottom panel, including at least one notch at two opposite sides of a bottom surface, the bottom panel being connected to the folding frame between the sidewalls near the bottom sides of the sidewalls by the studs fixing to the notch.
2. The cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the stud including a neck section and a connected head section with an outer diameter of the head section greater than a diameter of the neck section.
3. The cabinet of claim 2 , wherein the notch includes a clamping portion to fix the neck section of the stud.
4. The bench cabinet of claim 1 , further includes a stand, the stand includes two transverse sticks, each transverse stick includes two plinths at two ends, one of the plinths of each transverse stick is pivotly connected to a lengthwise stick, another one of the plinths and a end of the lengthwise stick include a male buckle member and a female buckle member to connect together.
5. The cabinet of claim 4 , wherein the male buckle members and the female buckle members are connected to form a hinge.
6. The cabinet of claim 5 , wherein the male buckle members include a connecting portion and a pivot, and the female buckle members include a connecting portion and a sleeve, the male buckle members and the female buckle members are connected to the plinths and the lengthwise sticks by the connecting portions.
7. The cabinet of claim 6 , wherein the male buckle member is connected to the female buckle member by the pivot inserting into the sleeve.
8. The cabinet of claim 6 , wherein the hinge is a butterfly hinge.
9. The cabinet of claim 4 , wherein the another one of the plinths of the transverse sticks include the female buckle members.
10. The cabinet of claim 4 , wherein the lengthwise sticks include the male buckle members at the ends.
11. The cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the folding sidewalls include a plurality of fixing holes at the inner surface.
12. The cabinet of claim 11 , wherein the fixing holes are adapted to connect at least one supporter for supporting a divider panel.
13. The cabinet of claim 12 , wherein the supporter includes a L-shaped body, a inserting portion, and a supporting pad, the inserting portion tight-fit in the fixing holes and the supporting pad is adapted to support the divider panel.
14. The cabinet of claim 11 , the fixing holes are adapted to connect at least one slider for supporting a drawer.
15. The cabinet of claim 1 , wherein the folding frame further includes a hanging stick at a back side of the back wall, the hanging stick has a inclined plane at a bottom surface.
16. The cabinet of claim 15 , wherein the hanging stick is adapted to hang the cabinet by placing on a fixing stick which is fixed on a wall surface, and the fixing stick has a corresponding inclined plane at a top surface.
17. The cabinet of claim 1 , further comprises at lease one front door at the a front side of the folding frame.
