Abstract

There is a clothing kit comprising a garment bag which is configured to house a plurality of garments. The plurality of garments can comprise a slip dress, a long sleeve top, a pair of pants; a tank top, a universal adjustable garment, and at least one belt. The clothes can be made from a wrinkle free fabric, and are configured to be of at least two different colors, with the pair of pants, dress, universal shoulder wrap, and one sash, the tank top and the belt being of a first color, and the long sleeve shirt, the universal shoulder wrap being of a second color.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a clothing kit comprising a set of clothing configured to provide a plurality of different outfits to a user.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One embodiment of the invention relates to a clothing kit comprising a garment bag which is configured to house a plurality of garments. The plurality of garments can comprise a slip dress, a long sleeve top, a pair of pants; a tank top, a universal adjustable garment, and two sashes. The clothes can be made from a wrinkle free fabric, and are configured to be of at least two different colors, with the pair of pants, the dress, the universal shoulder wrap and one sash, being of a first color, and the long sleeve shirt, the tank top and one sash being of a second color.
The material can comprise 5% spandex and 95% rayon. In addition, the different sets of clothing can include a first set and a second set wherein at least one set comprises a base color of clothing and a second set comprises an accent color of clothing.
In this case, the clothing can be mixed and matched together to form multiple different types of outfits.
Ultimately, once this kit of clothing is inserted into the garment bag, the entire kit would weigh less than three pounds, and fit inside a bag that is less than 13×8×3 ft³dimensions when folded up.
This device can be used as an emergency kit in the event that there is lost luggage. Thus this kit can make an entire wardrobe.
Another embodiment can include a “Wake Up Call” kit. This kit is comprised of a long sleeve v-neck shirt, a tank top and one sash all pre-packed in a travel bag. This kit will come in four different colors. The garments in this kit are interchangeable with the garments in the original kit to add versatility and creativity.
In addition, there can be another type kit such as a “Summer Kit”. This kit is comprised of a tube top which can also be worn as a bathing suit top, a pair of capri length pants (above the ankle), a bathing suit bottom and a sarong that can also be worn as a dress and a skirt—all pre-packed in a travel bag. The garments in this kit are interchangeable with the original kit to form different outfits. This creates plurality of outfits for different occasions.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

As described above, at least one embodiment of the invention relates to a clothing kit that can be used for light traveling or to replace existing clothes for a user that is traveling that now needs additional clothing. The clothing can be mixed and matched to create numerous different outfits.
FIG. 1 is a plan view of a garment bag 10, in an open position, showing its inside face, and which includes a first section 12 which includes a plurality of closing elements or fasteners which can be in the form of a plurality of snaps comprising a first set of snaps 14 and a second set of snaps 16. First set of snaps 14 includes first snap 14 a, and second snap 14 b. Second set of snaps 16 includes first snap 16 a and second snap 16 b. In this case, either set of snaps can be used to close the bag with an opposing set of snaps 18 including snaps 18 a, and 18 b, which are coupled to an opposite side of the garment bag, thereby indicated by the dashed line.
In this case, first set of snaps 14 can be used to close the bag in a first position, while second set of snaps 16 are used to close the bag in a second position. The second position being a tighter less volumous position than the first position.
In addition, there is also a garment hanging hook 20, which is coupled to this section in a rotatable manner via a first securing element 22. Garment hanging hook can also be secured flat against the bag via a second securing element 24.
There is a closing element 32 which can be in the form of any closing element such as a zipper, hook and loop fastener, or any other type of known fastener which can be opened and closed in a selective manner to selectively allow access to a first storage section 30. Each storage section can be bound on at least one side by a breathable nylon barrier 34 which allows the clothes stored inside to aerate.
Another section 40 is made from a more substantial material such as leather wherein this section forms a backing for a handle 42 for the bag. This handle 42 is disposed opposite this section 40. This section is not a storage section and serves as a dividing section between first storage section 30 and a second storage section 50.
Second storage section 50 includes a second closing element 52 which as described above can be in the form of any known type of storage element such as a series of snaps, a hook and loop fastener, a zipper, a male-female mating closure which is configured to form an enclosed section for a bag.
In this case, closing element 52 is in the form of a zipper which allows a user access to a second storage region 50 which is bound on at least one side by breathable nylon 54. This enclosure is configured to store at least one set of garments such as the universal garment therein. In addition, the belt or other elements may be stored therein as well.
The third storage section 60 also includes at least one closing element 62 which as described above can be in the form of any type of closing element but in this case is shown as a zipper. This storage section 60 is also bound at one end by at least one breathable nylon section 64. As described above, this breathable nylon allows the clothes stored inside to aerate.
This third storage section 60 is configured to hold the dress/universal garment and/or tank top which is described in greater detail below.
A fourth storage section 70 includes a fourth closure element 72 which is similar to the closure elements described above and in this embodiment is configured as a zipper.
Fourth storage section is different from the second and third storage section in that this storage section not only includes a breathable nylon binding 74 but also side walls as well to form a collapsible section. These side walls allow the bag to be expanded to a larger volume than the second and third sections such that this section can fit additional garments or larger garments inside such as a pair of pants, and additional garments such as a belt.
FIGS. 2A-2H disclose the different garments which are the slip dress 100 shown in FIG. 2A, the long sleeve shirt 110 shown in FIG. 2B, the tank top 120 shown in FIG. 2C, the flared leg pants 130 shown in FIG. 2D, the universal garment 140 shown in FIG. 2E, a first belt 150 shown in FIG. 2F, and a second belt 160 shown in FIG. 2G. The slip dress 100 includes elastic sections 102, 104, and 106 which are formed by folding the material over and then sewing it shut for a two-ply material depth. These sections could also be made with a three-ply material depth by sewing on an additional strip of material to create additional elasticity. Because of the inherently elastic nature of the base material which comprises approximately 95% polyester and approximately 5% spandex, no additional elastic materials are necessary.
The universal garment 140 can also be formed into a different shape as shown in FIG. 2H.
Similarly, long sleeve shirt 110 includes elastic sections 112, 114, 116 and 118, 119 a and 119 b, tank top 120 includes elastic sections 122, 124, and 126, flared leg pants 130 includes elastic sections 132, 134, and 136, while the universal top 140 includes a base section 142 and an elastic section 144.
Belts 150 and 160 do not include any elastic sections.
FIG. 3 shows a front enlarged view of the universal garment 140 while FIG. 4 shows a back view of the universal garment. When worn the universal garment drapes with natural pleats or folds 146 a, 146 b, and 146 c on a front side. These natural pleats form an artistic look for the user. In addition these natural pleats are formed because each side 147 a and 147 b is longer than a curved front section 145. Sides 147 a and 147 b are formed longer to allow the user the use of the universal garment as a poncho. In addition, these longer sides allow the user to adapt this garment into a side slung top, which is slung over one shoulder, a halter top or a skirt. The top elastic section 144, can be in the form of 2-ply top or a 3-ply top elastic section, and can be in the form of a crew neck or a V-neck. One benefit of a V-neck opening is it allows for a larger opening for a user to push their arms through thereby allowing greater adjustability of the garment in the fitting stage.
FIG. 4 is a back view of the garment which shows three different seams, a center seam formed by stitching two sections of the garment together and two flaring or side seams formed by the joining of two sections as well. This back view shows these three sections of material which is formed by joining three different trapezoidal sections together. The two back trapezoidal sections 148 a and 148 b can be formed as identical or substantially identical in shape while the additional trapezoidal section 148 c is formed from an additional shaped section of material. Essentially there are also different observable portions including a front portion 149 a, a back portion 149 b, and the two side portions 149C and 149 d.
When worn, the front portion 149 a is longer than the back portion 149 b, however the two side portions 149 c and 149 d are longer than both the front portion and the back portion. When worn as shown, the garment is designed to show a semi-circular curved pattern radiating inward from the elongated sides from a front view while showing a substantially flat back extension from the back side.
In at least another embodiment there can be a method for presenting a plurality of clothing as described above including pants, belts, a universally adjustable piece of clothing, a dress etc. and mixing and matching these clothes to form multiple different possible outfits. For example, the pants, and the shirt can be combined to form one outfit. The pants and the universal garment and the shirt can be combined to form another ensemble wherein the universal garment forms a poncho. The pants and the universal garment can be combined together wherein the universal garment is used as a top such as a halter top. Alternatively the universal garment can be used as a skirt instead, and then combined with either the shirt or the tank top to form another ensemble. The dress and other garments such as the universal garment can also be combined together as well. These different garments can be mixed and matched to suit the user so that the user can have multiple different options depending on the occasion.
Below are different basic descriptions of possible embodiments.
One embodiment can comprise a clothing kit comprising:
a) a garment bag;
b) a plurality of garments comprising:

- i) a slip dress;
- ii) a long sleeve top;
- iii) a pair of pants;
- iv) a tank top;
- v) a universal adjustable garment;
- vi) a belt;

wherein the clothes are made from a wrinkle free fabric, and are configured to be of at least two different colors, with the pair of pants, the tank top and the belt being of a first color, and the long sleeve shirt, the universal shoulder wrap being of a second color.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the first color is a base color.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the second color is an accent color.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the pair of pants is a flared leg pants.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the plurality of garments are made from a material comprising approximately 5% spandex and 95% polyester.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the universal adjustable garment is configured to be fit as either a poncho, a top, or a skirt.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the universal adjustable garment comprises at least three different pieces of fabric stitched together.
The clothing kit as described above, wherein the universal adjustable garment has at least three four portions, a front portion, a back portion a first side portion and a second side portion.
The clothing kit as described above, wherein the first side portion and the second side portion are longer than the front portion.
The clothing kit as described above, wherein the front portion is longer than the back portion.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, further comprising at least one additional belt.
The clothing kit as described in any embodiment above, wherein the bag comprises at least four compartments comprising a first general compartment, a second compartment configured to fit the universally adjustable garment, a third compartment configured to fit at least one of a belt, a slip dress and a tank top, and at least one additional compartment configured to fit a pair of pants.
The clothing kit as in any embodiment described above, wherein the at least one additional compartment on the bag comprises an expandable compartment having walls which can be expanded to fit clothing inside.
The clothing kit as in any embodiment described above, further comprising a first set of snaps and a second set of snaps, with the first set of snaps comprising at least one snap and the second set of snaps comprising at least one snap.
The clothing kit as in any embodiment described above, wherein the first set of snaps comprises at least two set of snaps and the second set of snaps comprises at least two set of snaps, wherein the first set of snaps are spaced apart from the second set of snaps, at least one additional set of snaps positioned on a side opposite the first and second set of snaps.
In another embodiment the kits can be any one of the following kits:
A “Wake Up Call” kit. This kit is comprised of a long sleeve v-neck shirt such as shirt 110, a tank top 120 and one sash 150 or 160 all pre-packed in a travel bag such as bag 10. This kit will come in four different colors. The garments in this kit are interchangeable with the garments in the original kit to add versatility and creativity.
In addition, there can be another type kit such as a “Summer Kit”. This kit is comprised of a tube top 180 which can also be worn as a bathing suit top, a pair of capri length pants 190 (above the ankle) 195, a bathing suit bottom 200 and a sarong 210 that can also be worn as a dress and a skirt—all pre-packed in a travel bag. The garments in this kit are interchangeable with the original kit to form different outfits. This creates plurality of outfits for different occasions.
The clothing kit as in any embodiment described above wherein the at least one additional set of snaps comprise a mating set of snaps configured to mate with at least one of the first set of snaps and the second set of snaps, wherein the at least one additional set of snaps are configured to mate with the first set of snaps to close the bag in a first position or with a second set of snaps to close the bag in a second position.
Accordingly, while a few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it is to be understood that many changes and modifications may be made thereunto without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A clothing kit comprising:

a) a garment bag;

b) a plurality of garments comprising:

i) a slip dress;

ii) a long sleeve top;

iii) a pair of pants;

iv) a tank top;

v) a universal adjustable garment;

vi) at least one belt;

wherein the clothes are made from a wrinkle free fabric, and are configured to be of at least two different colors, with the pair of pants, dress, universal shoulder wrap, sash of a first color, and the long sleeve shirt, the tank top and sash being of a second color.

2. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first color is a base color.

3. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 2, wherein the second color is an accent color.

4. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pair of pants is a flared leg pants.

5. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of garments are made from a material comprising approximately 5% spandex and 95% rayon.

6. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the universal adjustable garment is configured to be fit as either a poncho, a top, or a skirt.

7. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the universal adjustable garment comprises at least three different pieces of fabric stitched together.

8. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the universal adjustable garment has at least three four portions, a front portion, a back portion a first side portion and a second side portion.

9. The clothing kit claimed in claim 1, wherein the first side portion and the second side portion are longer than the front portion.

10. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front portion is longer than the back portion.

11. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, further comprising at least one additional belt.

12. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the bag comprises at least four compartments comprising a first general compartment, a second compartment configured to fit the universally adjustable garment, a third compartment configured to fit at least one of a belt, a slip dress and a tank top, and at least one additional compartment configured to fit a pair of pants.

13. The clothing kit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one additional compartment on the bag comprises an expandable compartment having walls which can be expanded to fit clothing inside.

14. The clothing kit as in claim 1, further comprising a first set of snaps and a second set of snaps, with the first set of snaps comprising at least one snap and the second set of snaps comprising at least one snap.

15. The clothing kit as in claim 14, wherein the first set of snaps comprises at least two set of snaps and the second set of snaps comprises at least two set of snaps, wherein the first set of snaps are spaced apart from the second set of snaps, at least one additional set of snaps positioned on a side opposite the first and second set of snaps.

16. The clothing kit as in claim 1, wherein the at least one additional set of snaps comprise a mating set of snaps configured to mate with at least one of the first set of snaps and the second set of snaps, wherein the at least one additional set of snaps are configured to mate with the first set of snaps to close the bag in a first position or with a second set of snaps to close the bag in a second position.
