Abstract
A cosmetic case includes a case, and a powder scraping device disposed in the case. The powder scraping device includes a pressed powder case moveably installed inside the case and housing a pressed powder, a scraper tray moveably installed above the pressed powder case and having a bottom side contacting the pressed powder disposed inside the pressed powder case and a plurality of scrapers disposed at the bottom side of the scraper tray for scraping the pressed powder. A plurality of through-holes are formed at the bottom side of the scraper tray. The scraper is formed at one side of each through-hole and bends in a direction to the pressed powder case. In comparison with a typical cosmetic case, the scraper tray of the cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device has an improved scraping effect.
Description
- 1. Field
- The present invention relates to a cosmetic case having a powder scraping function.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- The typical cosmetic case includes a scraper tray for scraping a pressed powder in a pressed powder case into fine powder. The scraped powder is discharged to a scraper tray through a powder discharging hole. A user uses the scraped powder for makeup.
- It is an object of the present device to provide a cosmetic case having a powder scraping function having an improved scraping effect.
- In order to accomplish the object of the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic case including a case, and a powder scraping device disposed in the case, wherein the powder scraping device includes a pressed
powder case 3 moveably installed inside the case and housing a pressed powder, and ascraper tray 4 moveably installed above the pressedpowder case 3 and having a bottom side contacting the pressed powder disposed inside the pressedpowder case 3, and a plurality ofscrapers 41 disposed at the bottom side of thescraper tray 4 for scraping the pressed powder, wherein a plurality of through-holes 42 are formed at the bottom side of thescraper tray 4, and wherein thescraper 41 is formed at one side of each through-hole and bends in a direction to the pressedpowder case 3. - In comparison with a typical cosmetic case, a scraper tray of the cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device has an improved scraping effect.

FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a powder scraping device in accordance with an embodiment of the present device; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an outer case of a cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device; -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a scraper tray of a cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device; -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a pressuring ring of a cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device; and. -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view (A-A) ofFIG. 3 . - Referring to
FIG. 2 , a cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device includes an outer case 1 and aninner case 2 disposed in abottom case 12. The cosmetic case in accordance with an embodiment of the present device further includes a powder scraping device. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , the outer case 1 includes atop case 11 and abottom case 12 openably connected to each other. Thetop case 11 includes a hook 14, and thebottom case 12 includes alatch 13. Thelatch 13 and the hook 14 forms a sealed inner space by sealing thetop case 11 and thebottom case 12. Thelatch 13 includes a groove for receiving the hook 14 and a bottom for unlocking. When a user presses the bottom, the hook 14 is released from thelatch 13 by elastic transformation of thelatch 13, and thetop case 11 is automatically opened from thebottom case 12. Thetop case 12 further includes a mirror 15. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , the powder scraping device is movably disposed inside theinner case 2. The powder scraping device includes a pressedpowder case 3 housing a pressed powder and ascraper tray 4 disposed above the pressedpowder case 3. Thescraper tray 4 includes a bottom side contacting a pressed powder disposed inside the pressedpowder case 3. The bottom side of thescraper tray 4, which contacts the pressed powder contacting the pressed powder disposed in the pressedpowder case 3, includes a plurality ofscrapers 41 for scraping the pressed powder. When the scraper tray 4 moves along an upper surface of the pressed powder in thepowder case 3, the plurality ofscrapers 41 of thescraper tray 4 scrape the pressed powder into fine powder. The scraped powder is upwardly discharged into thescraper tray 4 through a plurality of through-holes. A user uses the discharged powder. - Referring to
FIG. 3 , thescraper tray 4 includes a plurality of through-holes 42 at the bottom side thereof and ascraper 41 formed at one side of each through-hole. Thescraper 41 bends in a direction to thepowder case 3. Thescraper tray 4 rotates on the pressedpowder case 3. Particularly, thescraper tray 4 includes one polygon through-hole 43 at a center of a bottom side and a plurality of through-holes 42 arranged at a peripheral area of the bottom side in all directions from the polygon through-hole 43 as a center. In a view of a moving direction of thescraper tray 4, the plurality ofscrapers 41 are disposed at the same side where the plurality of through-holes 42 are arranged in all direction from the polygon through-hole 43 as a center. - In the embodiment of the present device, the polygon through-
hole 43 is located at an eccentric position from a bottom center of thescraper tray 41. Ascraper 41 is formed at one side of the polygon through-hole 43. Thescraper 41 bends in a direction to the pressedpowder case 3 as shown inFIG. 5 . - A
direction indicator 51 is formed on an upper flange that faces a user for indicating a moving direction of thescraper tray 4. The direction indicator prevents a user from rotating the scraper tray in a reverse direction. If a user rotates the scraper tray 4 in a reverse direction, scraped powder is not upwardly discharged above the scraper tray through the through-holes 42. - Such a design of the
scraper tray 4 provides a further superior scraping effect and enables thescraper tray 4 to uniformly scrap an entire area of the pressed powder. Further, the design of the scraper tray has a charming look. - A
spring 6 is disposed between a bottom side of the pressedpowder case 3 and theinner case 2. Although a height of the pressed powder gets lower according to consumption of the pressed powder in the pressedpowder case 3, thespring 6 secures a contacting level between the pressed powder and the bottom side of thescraper tray 4. Further, it is possible to control a scraping lever of the pressed powder of thescraper tray 4 through a constant elastic coefficient of thespring 6. - A pressurizing
ring 5 is disposed above thescraper tray 4. The pressuringring 5 is connected to theinner case 2. The pressuringring 5 is fixedly connected to thescraper tray 4. In the embodiment of the present device, a plurality of latches are disposed at an inner side of the pressurizingring 5. An upper flange of thescraper tray 5 is integrally connected to the pressurizingring 5 through the latches. Therefore, thescraper tray 5 rotates together with the pressurizingring 5. - A plurality of
position locking bars 31 are disposed at an outer side of the pressedpowder case 3. A plurality of bar-shaped protrusions 21 are formed at an inner side of theinner case 2. The plurality of bar-shaped protrusions 21 are coupled with the plurality ofposition locking bars 31. The bar-shaped protrusion 21 extends in a vertical direction from the bottom side of theinner case 2. Theposition locking bar 31 and the bar-shaped protrusion 21 guide a moving direction of theinner case 2 of the pressedpowder case 3 by being coupled to each other. Further, theposition locking bar 31 and the bar-shaped protrusion 21 improve stability when the pressedpowder case 3 moves in a moving direction of the scraper tray 4 through elastic power of thespring 6. - In the embodiment of the present device, the pressed
powder case 3 has a circular shape. Accordingly, theinner case 2, thescraper tray 4, and the pressurizingring 5 have a circular shape. Thescraper tray 4 scrapes the pressed powder in the pressedpowder case 3 through rotation movement. Such rotation movement is a preferred scraping method. - Since every constituent elements of the scraping device are disposed in the
inner case 2, a shape of the outer case 1 is not restricted by a shape of the pressedpowder case 3. Such a structure thereof may provide a manufacturer thereof more designing options. Accordingly, a manufacturer may independently design an outer shape of the outer case 1 after assembling the scraping device. Thus, the scraping device in accordance with an embodiment of the present device may be applied in further wider range. - Further, an efficiency of manufacturing the scraping device is improved. A manufacturer thereof can assembly constituent elements of the scraping device through two simple manufacturing steps of disposing a pressed powder in the pressed
powder case 3 and disposing the pressurizingring 5 on theinner case 2.
Claims (7)
1. A cosmetic case comprising:
a case; and
a powder scraping device disposed in the case, the powder scraping device comprising:
a pressed powder case moveably installed inside the case and housing a pressed powder, and
a scraper tray moveably installed above the pressed powder case and having a bottom side contacting the pressed powder disposed inside the pressed powder case, the scraper try having a plurality of through-holes formed at the bottom side of the scraper tray, and a plurality of scrapers formed at one side of each through-hole and bends in a direction to the pressed powder case.
2. The cosmetic case of claim 1 , wherein the scraper tray rotates facing the pressed powder case.
3. The cosmetic case of claim 2 , wherein one polygon through-hole is formed at a center of the bottom side of the scraper tray, and the plurality of through-holes are arranged at a peripheral area of the bottom side of the scraper tray in a direction from the polygon through-hole as a center.
4. The cosmetic case of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of scrapers are located at a same side of the scraper tray where the plurality of through-holes are arranged in a directions from the polygon through-hole from a view of a moving direction of the scraper tray.
5. The cosmetic case of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of scrapers are formed at one side of the polygon through-hole and bends in a direction to the pressed powder case.
6. The cosmetic case of claim 3 , wherein the polygon through-hole is located at an eccentric position from a bottom center of the scraper tray 41.
7. The cosmetic case of claim 1 , further comprising a pressurizing ring disposed above the scraper tray and connected to the case, wherein the scraper tray is fixedly connected to the pressurizing ring.
