Definitions

  • FIG. 3 is an inside out, front view of wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch absent environment for its use (long seam can also be placed laterally to left or right);

Abstract

The wrist cover/support for bracelets/watches is made of elastic fabric or comparable material. Once sewn or glued, this composition allows the invention to be placed over worn jewelry on wrist. Use of the wrist cover results in preventing jewelry loss, reduces likelihood of its damage, and also likely prevents jewelry from snagging, scratching or otherwise damaging items.

  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • I, Kimberly D. Hall, have a new utility invention called a wrist cover/support for a bracelet/watch, as set forth in the following specification. The claimed wrist cover is utilized to cover and support jewelry items, protecting them from loss, while reducing likelihood of them becoming damaged. These functions benefit jewelry wearers of various ages and genders.
  • Due to daily activities, jewelry (bracelets and watches) are often removed. For example, a bracelet may be removed while one puts on panty hose, to avoid potentially snagging the hosiery, and possibly breaking the jewelry piece. Another example is removal of jewelry while walking outdoors, to avoid its lost.
  • This utility invention is functional due to its composition. Its shape, size and material (with elastic properties), allow it to fit over the jewelry (bracelet/watch) of the wrist and lower forearm area. It covers, supports, and protects worn jewelry that it is placed over.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • The wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch is used to cover, support and protect jewelry items worn. This is due to the shape and elastic fabric/material comprising it. The invention is pulled over the hand and onto jewelry worn on the wrist, therefore restricting the jewelry's ability to be lost or damaged. Covered items are also less likely to scratch or snag against other items or objects. The invention reduces or eliminates this damage from occurring.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • FIG. 1 is a front view of the wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch while placed over jewelry (long seam can also be placed on lateral left or right side of users wrist if desired);
  • FIG. 2 is a rear view thereof;
  • FIG. 3 is an inside out, front view of wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch absent environment for its use (long seam can also be placed laterally to left or right);
  • FIG. 4 is an inside out, rear view thereof.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • A wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch is herein described 100. FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4 show the invention 100. FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 show the invention 100 utilized in its environment (wrist with hand marked by dashes). Invention in both figures shows its position when placed over jewelry (bracelet/watch).
  • FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 show invention 100 outside of its environment of use (wrist with hand absent). Invention in both figures is shown inside out.
  • FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4 show thread seams 400 on open ends of invention. These seams hold cuff 350 in place. FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 show cuff 350, which hides fabric's cut ends.
  • FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4 show inventions stretchable fabric/material 225, which is an essential to its function. This elasticity allows invention to be folded downwards, placed over hand, pulled onto wrist, and then carefully unfolded upwards over jewelry worn.
  • FIG. 2 and FIG. 4 show the seam 300 formed by joining the shorter sides of fabric/material. This seam results in producing two open ends needed so that invention can be placed on wrist, over jewelry.
  • The new utility invention is constructed using fabric with elastic properties (spandex, polyester, Lycra, or comparable fabric/material), and joined using thread, or glue. Various fabric weights can be used if they possess sufficient elasticity. Fabric 225 is cut in a rectangular shape, which after sewn results in a tubular shape 100. Cuffs 350 are formed on long sides of fabric and hemmed with thread 400. Short sides/ends of fabrics are brought together, and then hemmed 300 (invention can also be produced without hem using special machinery like that used to produce trouser socks, hosiery, and seamless tube tops). Invention can now be used to cover, support and provide protection to worn jewelry against loss, while reducing likelihood of its (jewelry) damage. These examples of the present invention are not exhaustive. Other detail and structural changes may be made. My invention having been described may be modified in a way that is apparent to those skilled in the art that it pertains to without deviating from neither the invention's spirit nor its scope of use.

Claims (1)

I claim:
1. a. The utility invention for a tubular and elastic fabric wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch as shown and described, that covers, supports, and provides some protection to worn jewelry on the wrist area.
b. The use of the elastic fabric comprising the tubular_shaped wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch reduces likelihood of jewelry being lost, due to falling or being unintentionally pulled off.
c. The use of elastic and cylindrical_wrist cover/support for bracelet/watch reduces likelihood of jewelry damaging items. It covers, thus hinders jewelry's ability to tear, scratch or to become snagged on items due to fabric/material stretch ability and tubular shape which surrounds the wrist area (over jewelry/watch) once applied.
d. All drawings and matter in this document should not be limiting, and should be interpreted as illustrative only.
e. Detail or structural changes may be made without departure from the spirit of the inventions use.
