Abstract
A water storage tank for water purifying system is disclosed. It mainly includes a solid housing and at least one air bag. The solid housing has a liquid storing space for storing liquid. The air bag being positioned in the liquid storing space and the air bag is movable inside. This air bag will expand or shrink depending upon the pressure in the liquid storing space. So, this invention can be modified from an existing storage tank. There is no water leakage problem causing by the membrane of the storage tank. In addition, it is easy to replace the air bag. In addition, the overall cost is extremely low.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a water storage tank for water purifying system. Particularly, it relates to a water storage tank for water purifying system that has at least one air bag. This invention can be modified from an existing storage tank. There is no water leakage problem causing by the membrane of the storage tank. It is easy to replace the air bag. In addition, the overall cost is extremely low.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Referring to
FIG. 1 , it shows a traditional water purifyingsystem 90. It comprises awater inlet 91, afilter 92, apump 93, areverse osmosis filter 94, awater outlet 95, awater output portion 96, astorage tank 97, and awaste water collector 98. In which, thereverse osmosis filter 94 has afirst end 941, asecond end 942, and athird end 943. Thefirst end 941 connects to thepump 93. Thesecond end 942 connects to thewater outlet 95. Thethird end 943 connects to thewaste water collector 98. The water purified by thereverse osmosis filter 94 will flow to thewater outlet 95 and then be stored in thestorage tank 97. - There are many kinds of
traditional storage tanks 97. Two of them are described below. As shown inFIG. 2 , it is a traditional storage tank without welding seam. This kind of storage tank includes astorage tank casing 971, amembrane 972, awater storing space 973, aninflating air space 974, a connectingpart 975, aninflating portion 976, and a sealing cover 977. However, it has the flowing two disadvantages: - [1] It is easy to become loose or cause leaking.
FIG. 2 shows themembrane 972 has asecuring portion 972A which is fixed between the sealing cover 977 and thestorage tank casing 971. But, thesecuring portion 972A of themembrane 972 is easy to become loose. Not only its securing effect is poor, but also some water might leak out. Especially the water in thewater storing space 973 might leak from the position of thesecuring portion 972A. - [2] It will cause air leaking problem. After it is used for a long time, the air leaking problem will occur at the inflating
portion 976 due to aging. -
FIG. 3 illustrates another traditional storage tank with welding seam. Itsstorage tank casing 971 comprises anupper casing 971A, alower casing 971B, awelding portion 971C, aninner casing 971D, and alocking ring 971E. Concerning this design, it has the following disadvantages: - [1] The loose problem or water leaking problem will happen at the welding portion. As illustrated in
FIG. 3 , thesecuring portion 972A of themembrane 972 is secured on theinner casing 971D by thelocking ring 971E tightly. Based on this design, it might become loose easily. Also, the water tends to leak at the welding portion. - [2] The manufacturing cost is relatively high. The structure of the traditional storage tank with welding seam is complicated. Plus, the required parts are more. So, the manufacturing cost is relatively high.
- The object of the present invention is to provide a water storage tank for water purifying system. In which, this invention can be modified from an existing storage tank. There is no water leaking problem causing by the membrane of the storage tank. It is easy to replace the air bag. In addition, the overall cost is extremely low. Hence, it can solve the problems happened in the traditional one, such as loose problem, water leaking problem, as well as high manufacturing cost.
- The present invention is a water storage tank for water purifying system comprising:
- a solid housing having a liquid storing space for storing liquid, the solid housing being disposed with at least one connecting portion;
- at least one air bag, the air bag including a deformable bag and an inflatable space; when pressure outside the air bag increasing, the deformable bag shrinking; when pressure outside the air bag decreasing, the deformable bag expanding;
- wherein the air bag is positioned in the liquid storing space and the air bag is movable therein.

FIG. 10 is cross-sectional view of the third embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 11 shows a modified structure of the present invention. - Referring to
FIGS. 4 to 7 , the present invention is a water storage tank for water purifying system mainly comprising asolid housing 10 and at least oneair bag 20, - About the
solid housing 10, it has aliquid storing space 11 for storing liquid. Thesolid housing 10 is disposed with at least one connectingportion 12. - With regard to at least one
air bag 20. theair bag 20 includes adeformable bag 21 and aninflatable space 22. When the pressure outside theair bag 20 increases, thedeformable bag 21 shrinks. When the pressure outside theair bag 20 decreases, said deformable bag expands. - In which, the
air bag 20 is positioned in the liquid storing space II and theair bag 20 is movable therein. - As shown in
FIG. 5 , thesolid housing 10 includes abucket 10A and acover 10B. Thebucket 10A and thecover 10B are combined as one integral structure by screw threads. - In the first preferred embodiment as illustrated in
FIG. 5 , the connectingportion 12 has two ends. One end connects to theliquid storage space 11 and the other end is provided for connecting to awater output pipe 70 of a water purifying system. Of course, under the condition of only one connectingportion 12, the connectingportion 12 can be modified as a three-way connecting pipe. Under this condition, the end that connects to thewater output pipe 70 includes two ports (one for input water, the other one for output water). - As shown in
FIGS. 6 and 7 , when the water is continuously flowed into theliquid storage space 11, the pressure in theliquid storage space 11 will increase. That is, when the pressure outside theair bag 20 increases, thedeformable bag 21 is forced to be shrinking. -
FIGS. 8 and 9 show the second preferred embodiment of the present invention. In which, there are twoair bags 20. Two connectingportions 12 are disposed on thecover 10B, One of the connectingportions 12 has two ends. One end connects to theliquid storage space 11 and the other end connects to thewater output pipe 70 of a water purifying system. The other one of the connectingportions 12 connects to awater output element 80. -
FIG. 10 illustrates the third preferred embodiment of the present invention. In which, thewater output pipe 70 connects with several storage tanks. Each storage tank contains fiveair bags 20. Thewater output element 80 mounted an end of thewater output pipe 70. - Of course, the structure of the present invention can be modified as shown in
FIG. 11 . Thebucket 10A of thesolid housing 10 is shaped as an elongated spherical structure. Thecover 10B becomes a seat. Afterair bag 20 is filled in suitable volume of air. the inflating opening will be sealed (by any conventional heat sealing method). Thebucket 10A and thecover 10B are combined as one integral structure by screw threads. Thecover 10B becomes a seat having three legs for supporting this invention (three legs are evenly distributed and spaced by 120 degrees). - Besides, once any
air bag 20 is aged or becomes ineffective (such as lack of flexibility), the user can take it out and then replace anew air bag 20. It is very convenient in air bag replacement or maintenance. Of course, theair bag 20 of this invention can be a balloon. Not only it is easy to obtain various balloons, but also the product cost is low. About the design of thesolid housing 10, there are many choices. Also, it is possible to use the housing of any existing product or container. Therefore, no matter in manufacturing, assembling, or maintenance, it is very simple and easy. - The advantages and functions of this invention can be summarized as follows.
- [1] This invention can be modified from an existing storage tank. Regarding the traditional storage tanks as mentioned above, both of them are required to use specific parts (with certain size and specification) for assembling. It is impossible to arbitrarily select any existing material/object. However, the
air bag 20 of this invention can be selected from a common balloon or the like. The solid housing can be used by an existing container or similar product. There is no need to buy extra specific parts/materials. - [2] There is no water leakage problem causing by the membrane of the storage tank. About the traditional storage tanks as mentioned above, both of them have the water leaking problem causing by the membrane. But, the air bag 0 of this design replaces the
traditional membrane 972, so that no water leaking problem will occur. - [3] It is easy to replace the air bag. Once the air bag is aged or becomes ineffective, the user can take it out and then replace a
new air bag 20 easily. - [4] The overall cost is extremely low. The
air bag 20 of this invention can be a common balloon or the like. Thesolid housing 10 also can be an existing container or similar product. Therefore, no matter in manufacturing, assembling, or maintenance, it is very simple and easy. Also, its overall cost is relatively low. - While this invention has been particularly shown and described with references to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes or modifications can be made therein without departing from the scope of the invention by the appended claims.
Claims (5)
1. A water storage tank for water purifying system comprising:
a solid housing having a liquid storing space for storing liquid, said solid housing being disposed with at least one connecting portion;
at least one air bag, said air bag including a deformable bag and an inflatable space;
when pressure outside said air bag increasing, said deformable bag shrinking; when pressure outside said air bag decreasing. said deformable bag expanding;
wherein said air bag being positioned in said liquid storing space and said air bag being movable therein.
2. The water storage tank for water purifying system as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said solid housing includes a bucket and a cover.
3. The water storage tank for water purifying system as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said bucket and said cover are combined as one integral structure by screw threads.
4. The water storage tank for water purifying system as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said connecting portion has two ends, one end connects to said liquid storage space and the other end is provided for connecting to a water output pipe of a water purifying system.
5. The water storage tank for water purifying system as claimed in claim 2 , comprising two connecting portions, one of said connecting portions having two ends, one end connecting to said liquid storage space and the other end being provided for connecting to a water output pipe of a water purifying system; the other one of said connecting portions connecting to a water output element.
