Abstract

A curtain with a safety structure includes a main body having a beam and a curtain body, a plurality of connecting portions formed on the curtain body, a plurality of latches installed on a surface of each connecting portion, a plurality of latches installed on each connecting portion, an ascending/descending unit coupled to the main body, a position limit element installed in the beam, and a pull string coupled to another end of the curtain body, passed through the latch, and coupled to the position limit element, such that if the pull string is pulled by an excessively large external force, the connecting portions will be separated from the curtain body, and the latches will also be separated to prevent the pull string from being wound around a human body accidentally, so as to achieve a higher safety effect.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a curtain with a safety structure, in particular to a curtain capable of preventing a pull string from being wound around a human body accidentally to achieve a higher safety effect.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • In general, a conventional curtain such as a Roman curtain includes a beam, an ascending/descending unit, and a drapery connected to the bottom of the beam, and the ascending/descending unit includes a plurality of pull strings and an ascending/descending string, and the drapery is formed by connecting a plurality of transversal drooped sections, and at least one row of through holes are formed on the transversal drooped sections and provided for passing the ascending/descending string and fixing the ascending/descending string to the lowest through hole, such that the pull string can be pulled to drive the ascending/descending string to link with the drapery, so as to achieve an ascending/descending motion.
  • Since the pull string is normally exposed from a side of a window, the pull string may be wound around a child's neck accidently due to the child's curiosity or while the child is playing with the pull string, and thus the pull string poses a serious threat to children's safety.
  • It is a main subject for the present invention to disclose a curtain with a safety structure to achieve a higher safety effect.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In view of the shortcomings of the conventional curtain, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally developed a curtain with a safety structure, in hope of preventing a pull string from being wound around a human body accidentally to achieve a higher safety effect.
  • Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a curtain with a safety structure to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art.
  • To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention discloses a curtain with a safety structure, comprising: a main body including a beam and a curtain body coupled to an end of the beam; a plurality of connecting portions formed on a surface of the curtain body; a plurality of latches, separately installed on each connecting portion; and an ascending/descending unit, coupled to the main body, and including a position limit element installed in the beam, and a pull string coupled to another end of the curtain body, passed through the latch, and coupled to the position limit element.
  • If the pull string of the curtain is pulled by an excessively large external force, the connecting portions will be separated from the curtain body, and the latches will also be separated to prevent the pull string from being wound around a human body accidentally, so as to achieve a higher safety effect.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a portion of FIG. 2; and
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic view of an application of the present invention.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The objects, characteristics and effects of the present invention will become apparent with the detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the illustration of related drawings as follows.
  • With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 for a perspective view, an exploded view and a partial enlarged view of a curtain with a safety structure in accordance with the present invention respectively, the curtain comprises a main body 1, a plurality of connecting portions 2, a plurality of latches 3 and an ascending/descending unit 4.
  • The main body 1 includes a beam 11, a curtain body 12 coupled to an end of the beam 11, and a weight portion 13 formed at another end of the curtain body 12.
  • Each connecting portion 2 is disposed on a surface of the curtain body 12, and coupled to the curtain body 12 by a sewing thread 21.
  • Each latch 3 is installed on each respective connecting portion 2 and includes a fixing base 31 coupled to the connecting portion 2, a clamp portion 32 movably latched to the fixing base 31, and a through hole 321 formed on each clamp portion 32.
  • The ascending/descending unit 4 is coupled to the main body 1 and includes a position limit element 41 installed in the beam 11, coupled to another end of the curtain body 12, passed through the latch 3 and coupled to a pull string 42 of the position limit element 41, and each pull string 42 is passed through the through hole 321 of each clamp portion 32.
  • With reference to FIG. 4 for a schematic view of an application of the present invention (together with FIGS. 1 to 3), the beam 11 of the main body 1 is coupled to the top of a window frame (not shown in the figure), such that when a force is applied to the pull string 42 to move the pull string 42 upward in the through hole 321 of each clamp portion 32, while pulling another end of the curtain body 12 to ascend the curtain body 12 for a rolling movement. After the curtain body 12 is rolled to a predetermined position, the position limit element 41 is engaged with the pull string 42 to fix the curtain body 12 at the predetermined position. When it is necessary to descend the curtain body 12, the pull string 42 is pulled again, such that the position limit element 41 releases the pull string 42. Now, the curtain body 12 can be descended by the weight portion 13. In the meantime, the pull string 42 is moved downward in the through hole 321 of each clamp portion 32, so as to achieve the effect of descending the curtain body 12.
  • If a child is curious or playing with the pull string 42 and the pull string 42 is wound around the a part of the child's body (such as the child's neck) by accident, the pull string 42 will be pulled by a greater external force (much greater than the force for pulling the curtain body 12), and the sewing thread 21 of the connecting portions 2 will be broken to separate the connecting portions 2 from the curtain body 12, and the fixing base 31 of the latch 3 will be separated from the clamp portion 32 simultaneously or separately to prevent the pull string 42 from being tightly wound around the human body, so as to achieve a higher safety effect for the operation of the curtain.
  • The present invention comes with a safety structure, such that if the pull string of the curtain is pulled by an excessively large external force, the connecting portions will be separated from the curtain body, and the latches will also be separated to prevent the pull string from being wound around a human body by accident, so as to achieve a higher safety effect. Obviously, the invention complies with the patent application requirements, and products derived from the present invention can satisfy the current market requirements sufficiently.
  • While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
