Description

  • The subject of the invention is the segmented speed bump, especially for speed reduction, fixed on the street to reduce the speed of vehicles, as well as to protect the wires running over roadway and used as threshold for weighbridges.
  • There is known from polish utility patent description No Ru 61203 speed bump assembly, consisting of the series of rectangular, middle segments and two outer segments, having the section similar to sector, equipped with holes for fastening to the ground, where the segments of speed bump are made of plasticized PVC from recycling and have the outer surface covered with rhombic projections, and from the base side have blind holes, with semi-circular section, running axially from side front of segment into the segment, reaching the depth of ⅓ of segment width and having series of cavities, and at the same moment in grooves of neighbor segments rods are fixed.
  • There is known from the other application for utility patent No W-107655 segment of bump speed, having the shape of cylinder section, characterized in that on one side it has rectangular prism tongue, and on the other there is a cavity corresponding to tongue. On the upper surface of speed bump the oval elevations are located, having rectangular recesses between them. The segment is equipped with fastening holes.
  • There is known from patent description U.S. Pat. No. 4,203,685 the speed bump, fixed to street or parking surface, made from elastomer and having on the base side two semicircular holes in longitudinal direction.
  • Segmented speed bump, especially for speed reduction, according to invention consisting of at least one central segment, which has cross section similar to circular sector and beneficially at least one terminal segment, both having holes for fixing to the surface and blind holes on the base side, characterized in that the central segment and terminal segments are equipped with self cleaning recesses, located on the upper surface, beneficially symmetrically, and blind, stabilizing holes located on the segments base have square section and at least two pass channels have the shape of “U” letter. At the same moment the middle part of central segment is separated by crosswise grooves and beneficially has on the outer surface the colored layer, vulcanized with the base of middle part of central segment. In the middle part of central segment, are located symmetrically rectangular recesses, which have the corners connected with segment edges by outlet ducts.
  • Beneficially, the pass through holes for fixing the segments, have vulcanized from base side, brackets with the shape of “U” letter. The central segment has from base side inlet holes, beneficially located in two rows.
  • In rectangular recesses of middle part of central segment, reflective elements are located, and/or in the other version of invention—signalization LEDs.
  • Beneficially, self-cleaning recesses are arc shaped.
  • Beneficially, the central segment is coupled with the terminal segment or with the next central segment, by projections located in sockets. Projections and sockets have corresponding edge radiuses, which creates esthetic assembly and does not allow for relative movement.
  • Beneficially, the central segment and terminal segments are made of rubber mix, of high hardness.
  • In the other version of invention realization, the terminal segments are connected directly, by projections and sockets, thus giving the point bump.
  • Segmented speed bump, especially for speed reductions, according to invention, thanks to introduction of self cleaning recesses and outlet ducts for water is kept clean, and stabilizing holes located in the base protect against the slip and relocation of bump in difficult weather conditions. Profiled fixing brackets allow for stabile fastening of bump to the ground, transferring the loads to bump elements in continuous way, without causing the loosing of fixing bolts. Inlet holes allow for stabilizing the segments when used as stop elements in weighbridges. Thanks to segments connection used, bumps may be used for temporal or constant protection of wires and other installations, for example sound or power supply.
  • The subject of invention is presented in examples of realization.
  • FIG. 1—shows the upper view of speed bump,
  • FIG. 2—the view of central segment,
  • FIG. 3—the bottom view of central segment,
  • FIG. 4—cross section A-A from FIG. 2,
  • FIG. 5—cross section B-B from FIG. 2,
  • FIG. 6—the upper view of bracket,
  • FIG. 7—side view of bracket,
