Abstract
The present invention is a Shower Splash Blocker that consists of either a fix or an adjustable device. The device is made of plastic, rubber or any material that can block water. It is mounted from the top edge of the bathtub to the adjacent ceramic wall tile of the bathtub and is attached along the vertical wall of the bathroom on either end of the shower curtain.
Description
- The present invention is about preventing the water from leaking out from the area between the end of the shower curtain and the adjacent vertical wall of the bathtub shower onto the bathroom floor while showering.
- 1. Description of Prior Art
- There's no known prior art that's the same as this invention.
- 2. Background of the Invention
- The present invention provides a convenience, simple, and inexpensive methods to prevent the problem of shower splash existing from the area between the end of the shower curtain and the vertical wall of the bathtub shower onto the bathroom floor. The traditional ways of preventing the shower splash or water from leaking onto the floor is ineffective. The traditional means use:
- 1) A full shower curtain to prevent water from leaking onto the floor. The problem is there is a small gap between the vertical wall and the end of the shower curtain, not fully sealed.
- 2) A shower door to seal the water from leaking onto the floor and other traditional means are ineffective, expensive, inconvenience, and difficult to install for the average consumers.
- The Shower Splash Blocker provides a convenience and simple method to prevent the shower splash or water from leaking out of the area between the end of the shower curtain and vertical wall onto the floor.
- The present invention consists of a bathtub, adjacent vertical walls at both end of the bathtub, a shower head, and a shower curtain. In short, the present invention provides a Shower Splash Blocker that consists of:
- 1) One piece blocker attached to the vertical wall
- 2) Two pieces blocker, one base piece attached to the vertical wall and a 2nd piece that can be sliced or inserted into the base piece.
- As can be seen by the drawing in
FIG. 1 , the bathing area consists of a bathtub referenced bynumber 1, adjacent vertical wall as referenced bynumber 2, a shower head as referenced bynumber 3, and the one piece Shower Splash Blocker as referenced bynumber 4. - As can be seen by the drawing in
FIG. 2 , the Shower Splash Blocker consists of two pieces; one base piece attaching to the vertical wall and the 2nd piece that can be inserted or sliced into the base piece. - To summarize the features and the pluralities of engagement methods to engage the Shower Splash Blocker device to the vertical wall of the bathtub.

- 1) One piece is fixed to the wall. Each piece is made of different colors to fit the color of the bathroom.
- 2) Two pieces; one base is fixed to the wall and another piece to be inserted into the base piece. Each piece is made of different color to fit the color of the bathroom.
- 3) Two pieces; one base is fixed to the wall with magnetic and another piece to be inserted into it.
- 4) The device is made of cross section material.
- 5) The Shower Splash Blocker device is approximately 5 feet height or has the same height as the ceramic wall tile on the vertical wall of the bathtub as shown in
FIG. 1 . It's mounted from the top edge of the bathtub, along the vertical bathtub wall, to the top of the ceramic wall tile as shown inFIG. 1 . - 6) The Shower Splash Blocker device is about six inches wide.
- 7) The edge of the Shower Splash Blocker device attaching to the vertical wall is thicker than the other edge of the Shower Blocker device.
- 8) The Shower Splash Blocker can be mounted on either end of the shower curtain along the vertical bathtub wall.
Claims (7)
1. A Shower Splash Blocker for a shower comprising:
a) Shower tub with at least a vertical wall and a shower head mounted on a side wall.
b) mounting mean for mounting the device directly onto the vertical wall of a bathtub to prevent water from leaking out onto a bathroom floor.
c) the device made of rigged vertical piece is directly engaged to the vertical wall of the bathtub shower.
2. A Shower Splash Blocker device as in claim 1 ;
Wherein the device has configured in a zigzag cross section.
3. A Shower Splash Blocker device as in claim 1 ;
Wherein the device further comprising a plurality of water guard to guide the water downward.
4. A Shower Splash Blocker device as in claim 1 ;
Wherein the device further comprising a base piece and a sliding piece wherein the base piece is permanently fixed engaged to the vertical wall of the bathtub shower and the sliding piece can be inserted to the base piece.
5. A Shower Splash Blocker device as in claim 1 ;
Wherein the device is made of a single piece and it's fixed engaged to the vertical wall of the bathtub shower.
6. A Shower Splash Blocker device as in claim 1 ;
Wherein the device is approximately five feet height or has the same height as the ceramic wall tile on the vertical wall of the bathtub shower.
7. A Shower Splash Blocker device as in claim 1 ;
Wherein the device is approximately six inches wide.
