Abstract
An industrial dust collector comprises a frame body, a suction device attached to the frame body, a suction device attached to the suction device. The frame body has a containing cavity for containing the suction device. A supporting device is disposed between the suction device and the frame body for the suction device being movably attached to the frame body, so that the suction device can move between an unfolding status and a containing status. In the unfolding status, the suction device is unfolded relative to the containing cavity; in the containing status, the suction device is contained in the containing cavity. Therefore, the industrial dust collector has the advantages of small packaging size, convenient transportation and low transportation cost.
Description
- The present invention relates to an industrial dust collector, and more particularly to an industrial dust collector with small packaging size and convenient transportation.
- The traditional industrial dust collector comprises a base, a housing and support legs arranged at the base, a plurality of filtering bags disposed above the housing, a plurality of dust collecting bags disposed below the housing. A plurality of dust outlets are disposed in the housing, and each of the dust outlet is respectively corresponded with the filtering bags and the dust collecting bags. An air pump opposite to a dust inlet is attached to one end of the housing. At least one soft dust collecting tube is disposed above the dust inlet.
- The operating of the industrial dust collector is initiated by the start of the air pump, which generates a airflow to suck the dust and the other wastes through the dust inlet and enter into the housing via the dust collecting tube. Air is directly released through the filtering bags, while the dust and other wastes are deposited in the dust collecting bag.
- The traditional industrial dust collector is stationary. Therefore, an extended dust collecting tube must be employed so as to permit the industrial dust collector to reach every corner of the shop floor. As a result, the efficiency of the industrial dust collector is influenced by the length of the dust collecting tube. The length of the dust collecting tube is longer, and the efficiency of the industrial dust collector is lower.
- So those persons skilled in the art have made some improvement. For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,163,985 describes a movable industrial dust collector, which comprises a base, a support set disposed on the base, a suction set fixedly attached to the support set, a filtering set attached to the suction set, and wheels attached to the base for convenient moving of the industrial dust collector. The suction set comprises a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a suction fan driven by the motor, and a dust inlet located at one end of the housing and two dust outlets located at another end of the housing. The motor is set at the top of the housing. The dust inlet is disposed at the below of the housing and is connected with a hole in the base via a suction tube. The filtering set comprises a filtering bag disposed over the housing and a dust bag arranged under the housing. The filtering bag and the dust bag are set up in such a way that their open ends are respectively fitted the dust outlets. So the motor is initiated, and the stream of suction is generated by the rapid rotation of the suction fan to draw the dust and the other wastes into the suction set via the dust inlet. Then the air drawn into is finally released via the filtering bag, while the dust and the other wastes are deposited in the dust bag. Push the industrial dust collector which is provided with the wheels to reach every corner of the shop floor and to do the cleaning of the floor, while the extended dust collecting tube must not be employed. Thus, the efficiency of the industrial dust collector is enhanced and it is convenient to operate.
- But the suction set of the industrial dust collector is fixedly attached to the support set and the motor is set up over the housing, which made the industrial dust collector having a large packaging size with high transportation cost. And also need more space for storage.
- One object of the present invention is to provide an industrial dust collector with small packaging size, convenient transportation and lower transportation cost.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide an industrial dust collector which is convenient to be converted between an unfolding status and a containing status.
- In order to realize one of the above objects, the present invention provides an industrial dust collect comprising: a frame body, a suction device attached to the frame body and a filtering device attached to the suction device, wherein the suction device comprising a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a suction fan driven by the motor, a dust inlet and a dust outlet disposed in the housing, wherein the frame body comprising a containing cavity for containing the suction device, the suction device is movably attached to the frame body so that the suction device can move between an unfolding status and a containing status, when the suction device is in the unfolding status, it being unfolded relative to the containing cavity; when the suction device is in the containing status, the suction device is contained in the containing cavity.
- Preferably, a supporting device is disposed between the suction device and the frame body for supporting the suction device.
- Preferably, the supporting device comprises a first link and a second link pivotally connected to the first link, and wherein the first link is fixedly pivotable to the suction device, the second link is pivotable to the frame body, the first link is movably pivotable to the second link.
- In the unlocking status, the first link and the second link are substantially located in a line so that the first link and the second link are self-locked each other.
- The supporting device further comprises a joint member, the joint member is fixedly attached to the suction device and fixedly pivotable to the frame body.
- Preferably, the dust outlet and the motor are respectively disposed on two sides of the suction device. In the unlocking status, the motor is positioned under the dust outlet.
- Compared with the prior art, the present invention has advantages that the suction device is movably attached to the frame body so that the suction device can move between an unfolding status and a containing status, in the unfolding status, the suction device is unfolded relative to the containing cavity, and the industrial dust collector can normally work; in the containing status, the suction device is contained in the containing cavity. This reduces the industrial dust collector package volume. It is easily transport, and the transportation cost is reduced.
- The supporting device is disposed between the suction device and the frame body. If the operator pull the link of the self-locked, the suction device is pivotable relative to the frame body, so that the suction device is easily movable between the unlocking status and the containing status. The supporting device has self-locked function, so that the suction device is kept stationary relative to the frame body during converting form the containing status to the unlocking status, while other fixed mechanisms are not to be employed; the suction device is pivotally to be contained in the containing cavity during converting from the unlocking status to the containing status, while other fixed mechanisms are not to be released. Therefore the suction device is convenient to be converted between the unlocking status and the containing status.

FIG. 1 , anindustrial dust collector 1 includes aframe body 2, asuction device 4 attached to theframe body 2 and afiltering device 6 attached to thesuction device 4. - The
frame body 2 is a frame structure. As shown inFIG. 2 , theframe body 2 includes a pair ofopposite side frames 8, and a U-shaped rod 30 connecting with theside frames 8. - Each of the
side frames 8 includes a first., a second connectingrod rod rod 13 and the fourth connectingrod 14 are connected with the first and the second connectingrod rod rod - The first connecting
rod 11 lies in afirst side surface 18, and the second connectingrod 12 lies in asecond side surface 20 which is parallel to thefirst side surface 18. Of course, thefirst side surface 18 may be unparallel to thesecond side surface 20. - The pair of side frames 8, the
first side surface 18 and thesecond side surface 20 are formed of a containingcavity 22. The containingcavity 22 is adapted for containing thesuction device 4. - Each of the side frames 8 is connected with a
side board 24. Two fifth connectingrods 26 are connected with the twoside boards 24. Thebody frame 2 further comprises two connectingmembers 29 for connecting with the two fifth connectingrods 26. And two connectingmembers 29 are symmetrically disposed. - An
inner box 32 is disposed in the containingcavity 22. Theinner box 32 is composed of a bottom plate 34(shown asFIG. 1 ) and an annular wall connected with the circumference edge of thebottom plate 34. The wall is composed of afirst plate 36, a second plate 37 opposite to thefirst plate 36, and two side plates 38 facing towards each other. As shown inFIG. 1 andFIG. 2 , theinner box 32 is connected between the U-shaped rod 30, the third connectingrod 13 and theside boards 24. - The side plate 38 has projecting
blocks 35 and a groove 39. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , a support mechanism 40 is disposed in theinner box 32. The support mechanism 40 includes a protrudingear 42 pivotally attached to theside plate 8 of theinner box 32, and asupport board 44 attached to the protrudingear 42. - As shown in
FIG. 3 , thefirst plate 36 of theinner box 32 has apivotale hook 48, and the protrudingear 42 has a slot 46 for engaging with thehook 48. When thehook 48 is engaged with the slot 46, the support mechanism 40 is stationary relative to theinner box 32; when thehook 48 is disengaged with the slot 46, the support mechanism 40 is pivotable relative to theinner box 32. - As shown in
FIG. 5 , thesuction device 4 is pivotally attached to theframe body 2 by a supportingdevice 50. The suction device includes ahousing 70, a motor 80 disposed on thehousing 70, a suction fan (not shown in the figures) driven by the motor 80, and adust inlet 76 and twodust outlets 78 respectively disposed in thehousing 70. - The
housing 70 includes a narrowerupper housing 72 and a widelower housing 74. Thedust inlet 76 is disposed on theupper housing 72. Twodust outlets 78 are respectively disposed on theupper housing 72 and thelower housing 74. Circumferences flanges 84 and 86 extending out of thehousing 70 are respectively disposed in thedust inlet 76 and thedust outlets 78. - The motor 80 is disposed under the
housing 70 and received in the containingcavity 22 all along. When thesuction device 4 is contained in the containingcavity 22 of theframe body 2, the whole volume of theindustrial dust collector 1 is reduced. The motor 80 is provided with a drive shaft (not shown in the figures) to drive the suction fan which is fixed to thedust inlet 76 by the conventional manner. - The motor 80 is provided with a switch 82.
- Initiating the switch 80, airflow will be generated by the rapid rotation of the suction fan driven by the motor 80. As a result, the dust and the other wasters will sucked into the
suction device 4 by thedust inlet 76. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , thefiltering device 6 includes afiltering bag 88 disposed above thesuction device 4 and adust collecting bag 89 arranged below thesuction device 4. - The filtering
bag 88 and thedust collecting bag 89 are respectively fitted over the correspondingcircular flanges 86 of thedust outlets 78. - The filtering
bag 88 is made of breathable material and is suspended over thesuction device 4 by means of asuspension rod 90. Thesuspension rod 90 is detachably fastened to thesuction device 4. - The
suspension rod 90 is composed of astraight rod 92 and abent rod 94. Thestraight rod 92 is used to connect with thesuction device 4. Thebent rod 94 is used to facilitate the suspension of thefiltering bag 88 over thesuction device 4. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , thesuspension rod 90 composed of thestraight rod 92 and thebent rod 94 supports thefiltering bag 88. As shown inFIG. 5 , thestraight rod 92 is detached with thebent rod 94 and they are respectively stored in the projectingblocks 35 of the side blocks 38. - The air together with dust and the other wasters is drawn into the
industrial dust collector 1. The air is released into the atmosphere via thefiltering bag 88, while the dust and the other wasters are deposited in thedust collecting bag 89. - As shown in
FIG. 7 , the supportingdevice 50 includes afirst link 54 and asecond link 56 pivotally connected with respect to each other. Wherein thefirst link 54 is fixedly pivotable to thesuction device 4, thesecond link 56 is fixedly pivotable to theframe body 2. Thefirst link 54 is movably pivotable to thesecond link 56. - The
first link 54 has a first end 59 pivotally attached to thesuction device 4 and a second end 60 movably connected with thesecond link 56. The first end 59 is connected with thesuction device 4 via a fixed pivot. Thesecond link 56 has a first end 61 pivotally attached to the second end 60 of thefirst link 54 and a second end 62 pivotally attached to theinner box 32. The second end 60 of thefirst link 54 is connected with the first end 61 of thesecond link 56 via a movable pivot. The second end 62 of thesecond link 56 is pivotally connected with theinner box 32 via a fixedly pivot. - As shown in
FIG. 4 andFIG. 5 , thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are substantially located in a line, so that thelinks 54 and 56 a dead point. That is thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are self-locked each other. Thus, thesuction device 4 is stationary relative to theframe body 2. - Of course, in order to be fastened securely, as shown in
FIG. 7 , the second end 60 of thefirst link 54 is provided with a recess 63. The first end 61 of thesecond link 56 is provided with aprotrusion 64 for engaging with the recess 63. When thefirst link 54 rotates to a position that thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are located in a line, theprotrusion 64 will be engaged with the recess 63. As a result, thesuction device 4 is securely fixed relative to theframe body 2. - If the recess is disposed on the
second link 56 and the protrusion is disposed on thefirst link 54, thesuction device 4 is also fastened securely. So, thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are lockable with respect to each other at any desired angle by engagement of theprotrusion 64 and the recess 63. That is thesuction 4 may be fixed relative to theframe body 2 at any desired angle as required. - If it needs to be stored, the
suction device 4 may pivot relative to theframe body 2 by the supportingdevice 50. But because theprotrusion 64 of thesecond link 56 is engaged with the recess 63 of thefirst link 54, thesecond link 56 is only rotatable in a counter-clockwise direction (E direction as shown inFIG. 5 ). If thesecond link 56 rotates in a clockwise direction, the recess 63 of thefirst link 54 will be stopped by theprotrusion 64 of thesecond link 56 to prevent thesecond link 56 from rotating in a clockwise direction. As a result, thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 will not over clamped in an opposite direction. So the user only needs to pull thefirst link 54 or thesecond link 56, and to rotate thefirst link 54 or thesecond link 56 in a counter-clockwise direction (E direction as shown inFIG. 5 ). - The supporting
device 50 further comprises ajoint member 52. Thejoint member 52 is fixedly attached to thesuction device 4 and fixedly pivotable to theframe body 2. - The
joint member 52 has a first end 57 and a second end 58 opposite to the first end 57. The first end 57 is fixedly connected with thesuction device 4 by a screw fixed manner. The second end 58 is fixedly pivotable to the connectingmembers 29 of theframe body 2. That is the second end 58 of thejoint member 52 is pivotally connected with connectingmembers 29 via a fixed pivot. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , the second connectingrod 12 is connected with the third connectingrod 13 through curved connection. Theframe body 2 is provided withwheels 15 for easy carrying. Thewheels 15 are disposed at curved connection between the second connectingrod 12 and the third connectingrod 13 via a rotatingshaft 16. As shown inFIG. 6 , theside frame 8 is not a real rectangle, and the middle portion of the first connectingrod 11 and the second connectingrod 12 are curved inwards. So that it is convenient to mount thewheels 15 and a distance of the wheels andframe body 2 is reduced. - The
frame body 2 is provided with ahandle 10 for easy transportation. As shown inFIG. 5 , in middle portion of the fifth connectingrod 26, theframe body 2 is provided with a coupling member 27 for connecting with the two fifth connectingrods 26. Thehandle 10 is rotatably connected to the coupling member 27 around a pivot shaft 28. A locking mechanism is disposed between thehandle 10 and the coupling member 27 for fixing thehandle 10 to the coupling member 27. - As shown in
FIG. 11 , the locking mechanism includesapertures 17 which is disposed in and passed through thehandle 10, a pair of detent members 19 (only one detent member is shown inFIG. 11 ) symmetrically disposed in theapertures 17, a spring (not shown) disposed between the twodetent members 19, and detent holes 21 and 23 disposed in the coupling member 27 for engaging with thedetent members 19. Thedetent members 19 are respectively disposed on two ends of theapertures 17 and biased toward the direction of going beyond theapertures 17 by the spring. But thedetent members 19 can not disengage with theapertures 17 because of the steps (not shown) on thedetent members 19. - The detent holes 21 and 23 are respectively disposed on two ends of the coupling member 27. As a result, the
handle 10 can be fixed in two positions of the coupling member 27. - As shown in
FIG. 5 , thedetent members 19 is engaged with the detent holes 23, thus thehandle 10 is stationary relative to theframe body 2 and thehandle 10 is in a storage status. After the user pull thehandle 10 to pivot relative to theframe body 2, thedetent members 19 compresses the spring so that thedetent members 19 disengages with the detent holes 23, as shown inFIG. 11 , thedetent members 19 is freely rotatable around the pivot shaft 28; as shown inFIG. 12 , when thedetent members 19 rotates to a predetermined position and automatically engaged with the detent holes 21, thehandle 10 is stationary relative to theframe body 2 and thehandle 10 is in a working position. - The
suction device 4 is movable relative to theframe body 2 and has an unfolding status and a containing status. - As shown in
FIG. 4 , thesuction device 4 is in the unfolding status, and the industrial dust collector is in working position. At this time, thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are self-locked each other, and thesuction device 4 is stationary relative to theframe body 2, without other fixing mechanism to be employed. Thesuction device 4 is substantially perpendicular to theside surface 18. Thewheels 15 contacts with the floor, thesupport board 44 is stationary relative to theframe body 2 via the engagement of thehook 48 with the slot 46. Thesupport board 44 is perpendicular to theside surface 18 and contacts with the floor. Thesupport board 44 supports thedust collecting bag 89 and the wholeindustrial dust collection 1 together with thewheels 15 to increase the stability of theindustrial dust collector 1. If theindustrial dust collector 1 needs to be moved, the user only needs to lift up the support board 44 a little bit. Of course, theindustrial dust collector 1 can be supported by theside frame 8 of theframe body 2 and contacted with the floor through theframe body 2 as known to the persons skilled in the art. - The filtering
bag 88 is suspended above thesuction device 4 by thesuspension rod 90 which is composed of thestraight rod 92 and thebent rod 94. - Initiating the switch 80, airflow is generated by the rapid rotation of the suction fan which is driven by the motor 80 to draw the dust and the other wastes into the
suction device 4 via thedust inlet 76. The air is finally released to the atmosphere via thefiltering bag 88, while the dust and other wastes are deposited in thedust collecting bag 89. - If the user wants to maintain the
suction device 4, as shown inFIG. 5 , the filteringbag 88 and thedust collecting bag 89 will be taken out, then thesuspension rod 90 is detached from thesuction device 4. Then thestraight rod 92 is detached apart from thebent rod 94, so that they can be respectively stored in the projectingblocks 35 of the side blocks 38(as shown inFIG. 7 ). - Because the
protrusion 64 of thesecond link 56 is engaged with the recess 63 of thefirst link 54, the user needs to only pull thefirst link 54 or thesecond link 56 to rotate thesecond link 56 in a counter-clockwise direction (E direction as shown inFIG. 5 ), whilst thejoint member 52 is rotatable in a counter-clockwise direction relative to the connectingmembers 29. As shown inFIG. 7 , thesuction device 4 is pivotable in a counter-clockwise direction relative to theframe body 2 without other fixing mechanism being released. - The
suction device 4 is rotatable in a counter-clockwise direction relative to theframe body 2 to reach a position that thesuction device 4 is parallel to thefirst side surface 18. As shown inFIG. 8 , thesuction device 4 is received in the containingcavity 22 and in theinner box 32. Thesecond link 56 is received in the groove 39 of the side block 38. - The
hook 48 is pivoted to disengage with the slot 46. As shown inFIG. 8 , thesupport block 44 is pivotable relative to theinner box 32. - When the
support block 44 rotates to a position that thesupport block 44 is parallel to thefirst side surface 18, as shown inFIG. 9 , thesupport block 44 is in a storage position where thesupport block 44 is used to cover thesuction device 4 for certain protection. - As shown in
FIG. 10 , theframe body 2 is inclined to the floor, thereby thewheels 15 and the curved connection of the second connectingrod 12 with the connectingrod 14 contact the floor to support theindustrial dust collector 1 together. This allows the package of the industrial dust collector is reduced. It permits many industrial dust collectors to be regularly stored or transported. So that the storage space can be saved and it is convenient to transport. The transportation cost is reduced. Of course, as known to the person skilled in the art, theindustrial dust collector 1 can be supported by theside frame 8 of theframe body 2 contacted with the floor familiar to those persons in the art. - It is convention the
suction device 4 to convent from the containing status to the unlocking status. Pulling thesuction device 4 to rotate in the clockwise direction to a position where thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are lying in a line. As shown inFIG. 4 , thefirst link 54 and thesecond link 56 are self-locked by engagement of theprotrusion 64 with the recess 63. Thesuction device 4 is stationary relative to theframe body 2 for increasing the stability of theindustrial dust collector 1. It is convenient that thesuction device 4 is fixed, while another fixed mechanism need not to be employed. - The
industrial dust collector 1 has a transportation status, as shown inFIG. 11 , to pull thehandle 10, thedetent members 19 compress the spring and thedetent members 19 is disengaged with the detent holes 23, so that thehandle 10 is rotatable around the pivot shaft 28. As shown inFIG. 12 , thehandle 10 can rotate to reach a position thedetent members 19 is engaged with the detent holes 23, then thehandle 10 is fixed relative to theframe body 2. If theframe body 2 is inclined, as shown inFIG. 13 , thewheels 15 will contacte the floor and theframe body 2 is inclined with respect to the floor so that theindustrial dust collector 1 can be moved easily by pulling thehandle 10. - The embodiment of the present invention described above is a preferable embodiment to be understood by those persons in the art. The embodiment is to be considered as merely an illustration of principles of the present invention. Other modifications can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (15)
1. An industrial dust collector comprising a frame body, a suction device attached to the frame body, and a filtering device attached to the suction device, wherein the suction device comprising a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a suction fan driven by the motor, a dust inlet and a dust outlet disposed on the housing, wherein the frame body comprising a containing cavity for containing the suction device, the suction device is movably attached to the frame body so that the suction device can move between an unfolding status and a containing status, when the suction device is in the unfolding status, it is unfolded relative to the containing cavity; when the suction device is in the containing status, it is contained in the containing cavity.
2. The industrial dust collector according to claim 1 , wherein a supporting device is disposed between the suction device and the frame body for supporting the suction device.
3. The industrial dust collector according to claim 2 , wherein the supporting device comprises a first link and a second link pivotally connected to the first link, and wherein the first link is fixedly pivotable to the suction device, the second link is pivotable to the frame body, the first link is movably pivotable to the second link.
4. The industrial dust collector according to claim 3 , wherein in the unfolding status, the first link and the second link are substantially located in a line so that the first link and the second link are self-locked each other.
5. The industrial dust collector according to claim 3 , wherein a recess disposed in one of the first link and the second link, a protrusion disposed in the other of first link and the second link for engaging with the recess, in the unfolding status, the protrusion received in the recess.
6. The industrial dust collector according to claim 3 , the supporting device further comprises a joint member, the joint member is fixedly attached the suction device and fixedly pivotable to the frame body.
7. The industrial dust collector according to claim 4 , wherein the frame body comprises a pair of side frame, and each comprising a first connection rod and a second connecting rod which are longitudinally extended, wherein the first connecting rod lies a first side surface, and the second connecting rod lies a second side surface which is parallel to the first side surface, and the side frames, the first side surface and the second side surface are formed of a containing cavity.
8. The industrial dust collector according to claim 7 , wherein in the unlocking status, the suction device is fixed relative to the frame body and the suction device is perpendicular to the first side surface; in the containing status, the suction device is parallel to the first side surface.
9. The industrial dust collector according to claim 7 , wherein an inner box disposed in the containing cavity.
10. The industrial dust collector according to claim 9 , wherein the joint member is fixedly pivotally attached to the inner box, the second link is fixedly pivotable to the inner box.
11. The industrial dust collector according to claim 9 , wherein the industrial dust collector comprises a support mechanism, the support mechanism comprising a protruding ear pivotally attached to the inner box and a support board attached to the protruding ear.
12. The industrial dust collector according to claim 11 , wherein the inner box has a hook is pivotable to the inner box; and the protruding ear has a slot formed therein for engaging with the hook, in the unfolding status, the hook engaging with the slot to the support board being perpendicular to the first side surface;
the hook disengaging with the slot, support mechanism pivoted relative to the inner box; in the containing status, the support board is parallel to the first side surface.
13. The industrial dust collector according to claim 1 , wherein a wheel and a handle are attached to the frame body, the handle is pivotable to the frame body.
14. The industrial dust collector according to claim 13 , wherein the industrial dust collector comprises a transportation position, in the transportation position, the handle is extended out the edge of the frame body.
15. The industrial dust collector according to claim 1 , wherein the dust outlet and the motor are respectively disposed on two sides of the suction device, in the unlocking status, the motor is status under the dust outlet.
