Abstract

A water pool combination includes a foldable construction having a rear member extended from a base member, an upper member pivotally coupled to the rear member, a front member pivotally coupled to the base member and coupled to the upper member, one or more lock members selectively locking the front member to the upper member for forming a three-dimensional chamber in the construction, the front member and the upper member are foldable relative to the base member and the rear member to a tilted position, an insert is engaged into the construction for receiving a water, and an exercise device is disposed in insert for conducting an in-water exercise operation.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a portable water pool for exercise device, and more particularly to a portable water pool for receiving an exercise device therein and for conducting various exercise operations in the portable water pool, and including a foldable or collapsible structure for allowing the portable water pool to be easily operated by the users.
2. Description of the Prior Art
Various kinds of typical exercise devices have been developed for disposing or engaging into the water pool for conducting various exercise operations in the water pool, and normally comprise an exercise device or exercise machine simply disposed or engaged into the water pool.
For example, U.S. Pat. No. 4,551,108 to Bass discloses one of the typical exercise devices for use in a tank containing water and including a vest made of a buoyant material, and adjustable security lines attached to the tank for supporting the user in the water containing tank.
However, the water containing tank includes a huge or great volume and having a great weight that may not be easily moved into and out of the house families or the house buildings, and thus may not be easily used or operated in the house families or the house buildings.
U.S. Pat. No. 4,948,118 to Miraglia discloses another typical exercise device with an overhead unit having tracks which guide and support the wheels of a movable trolley for slidably or movably supporting a user in a pool of water and for therapeutic or training purposes.
However, the water pool also includes a huge volume or structure that may not be moved to the other places and that may not be moved into and out of the house families or the house buildings, and thus may not be easily used or operated in the house families or the house buildings.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,000,719 to Bedortha et al. discloses a further typical deep water exercise belt for supporting a user in a pool of water in an upright, running position so as to allow vigorous exercise without placing body weight on the legs
However, similarly, the water pool also includes a huge or great volume or structure that may not be disengaged or moved into and out of the house families or the house buildings, and thus may not be easily used or operated in the house families or the house buildings.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,234,391 to Shasek et al. discloses a still further typical water exercise apparatus for being disposed or supported in a water pool and comprising one or more horizontal members and a platform for suitably carrying or supporting a user in the pool of water and for allowing the user to conduct vigorous exercises.
However, similarly, the water pool also includes a huge or great volume or structure that may not be easily disengaged or moved into and out of the house families or the house buildings, and thus may not be easily used or operated in the house families or the house buildings.
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional portable water pools for exercise devices.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a portable water pool for receiving an exercise device therein and for allowing the user to conduct various exercise operations in the portable water pool.
The other objective of the present invention is to provide a portable water pool including a foldable or collapsible structure for allowing the portable water pool to be easily operated by the users and for allowing the users and the exercise device to be easily entered into or moved out of the portable water pool.
In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a portable water pool combination comprising a foldable construction including a base member having a front portion and a rear portion, a rear member extended upwardly from the rear portion of the base member and having an upper portion, an upper member having a rear portion pivotally coupled to the upper portion of the rear member with a pivot axle for allowing the upper member to be pivoted relative to the base member and the rear member between an upper working position and a tilted position, the upper member having a front portion, a front member having a lower portion pivotally coupled to the front portion of the base member with a pivot shaft for allowing the front member to be pivoted relative to the base member and the rear member between a front working position and a tilted position, and the front member having an upper portion, at least one lock member selectively locking the front member to the upper member for anchoring the front member and the upper member at the working position and for forming a three-dimensional structure for the construction and for forming a chamber in the construction, and the front member and the upper member being foldable relative to the base member and the rear member to the tilted position when the lock member is released from front member and the upper member, an insert engaged into the chamber of the construction and including a compartment formed in the insert for receiving a water, and an exercise device disposed in the compartment of the insert for conducting an in-water exercise operation, the exercise device is selected from the riding exercise device, the running or jogging or striding exercise device, the water exercise belt, the swimming exercise device, the weight lifting exercise device, the climbing exercise device, the rowing exercise device or the like.
The insert includes an upper peripheral flap engaged over the upper member for attaching the insert to the construction. The upper member of the construction includes one or more rails for slidably engaging with the upper portion of the front member. The construction includes at least one retaining member for engaging with the insert.
The front member includes a barrel provided on the upper portion of the front member and slidably engaged with the rail for slidably coupling the upper portion of the front member to the upper member and for allowing the front member and the upper member to be moved or slid between the working position and the tilted position.
The upper member of the construction includes two couplers attaching the rail to the upper member and engageable with the barrel for limiting the barrel and the front member to move relative to the base member and the rear member. The lock member is engageable with the barrel and the rail for selectively locking the front member to the upper member.
Further objectives and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. 1-5, a portable water pool combination 1 in accordance with the present invention comprises an outer foldable or collapsible frame or container or construction 10 including a bottom or base frame or member 11 having a front portion 12 and a rear portion 13 and preferably having a square or parallelogrammical structure, and including a rear frame or member 14 attached to or extended upwardly from the rear portion 13 of the base member 11 and having an upper portion 15, and including an upper frame or member 16 having a rear portion 17 pivotally or rotatably coupled to the upper portion 15 of the rear member 14 with a pivot axle 18 for allowing the upper member 16 to be pivoted or rotated relative to the base member 11 and the rear member 14 between an upper horizontal or working position as shown in FIGS. 1-3, 5, 7 and 10, and a lower tilted or folding position as shown in FIGS. 6 and 8-9, the upper member 16 includes a front portion 19.
As shown in FIGS. 1-8, the upper member 16 of the construction 10 includes one or more (such as two) tracks or rails 20 attached to the two side portions 21 of the upper member 16 with a front bracket or collar or coupler 22 and a rear bracket or collar or coupler 23 respectively and disposed and arranged substantially parallel to the two side portions 21 of the upper member 16, and positioned or located in the outer portion of the upper member 16. The construction 10 further includes a front member 25 having a lower portion 26 pivotally or rotatably coupled to the front portion 12 of the base member 11 with a pivot shaft 27 for allowing the front member 25 to be pivoted or rotated relative to the base member 11 and the rear member 14 between a front vertical or working position as shown in FIGS. 1-3, 5, 7 and 10, and a lower tilted or folding position as shown in FIGS. 6 and 8-9.
The front member 25 includes one or more (such as two) side collars or couplers or sleeves or barrels 28 attached or formed or provided on the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 and slidably attached or mounted or engaged onto the rails 20 respectively for allowing the barrels 28 and the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 to slide or move along the rails 20 or the side portions 21 of the upper member 16 between the front vertical or working position and the lower tilted or folding position, or for coupling the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 to the upper member 16, and the barrels 28 are contactable or engageable with the couplers 22, 23 respectively for limiting the barrels 28 and the front member 25 to move or pivot or rotate relative to the base member 11 and the rear member 14.
The front member 25 further includes one or more (such as two) lock pins or members 30 (FIGS. 5-7) attached or mounted or engaged onto the barrels 28 or the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 for selectively engaging with the rails 20 or the side portions 21 of the upper member 16 respectively and for selectively anchoring or positioning or mounting or securing the barrels 28 and/or the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 or the rails 20 or the side portions 21 of the upper member 16 either at the front vertical or working position or at the lower tilted or folding position and for forming or defining either a spatial or three-dimensional or parallelepiped structure as shown in FIGS. 1-3, 5, 7 and 10, or a triangular structure as shown in FIGS. 6 and 8-9, and for forming or defining changeable chamber 32 in the construction 10.
An inner flexible film or membrane or envelope or insert 40 is provided for being engaged with or into the chamber 32 of the construction 10 and having a compartment 41 formed therein for receiving the water 8 (FIGS. 9, 10), the pet cats and small dogs (not shown), or the users 80, and various exercise devices or apparatuses 90, 91, such as the riding exercise devices or apparatuses 90 (FIG. 1), the running or jogging or striding exercise devices or apparatuses 91, the water exercise belts (not shown), the swimming exercise devices or apparatuses (not shown), the weight lifting exercise devices or apparatuses (not shown), the climbing exercise devices or apparatuses (not shown), the rowing exercise devices or apparatuses (not shown), or the like.
The insert 40 includes a water tight seal and preferably made of plastic or synthetic materials for receiving and containing the water or fluid therein and for bathing or swimming and/or exercise purposes. It is to be noted that the construction 10 and the insert 40 may be formed or made into a great size or dimension or volume for receiving children and/or adults and/or the pet cats and small dogs and/or the other users simultaneously. It is preferable that the insert 40 includes an upper peripheral portion or flap 42 (FIGS. 3, 4) engaged over the outer peripheral portion or the side portions 21 of the upper member 16, and for suitably or solidly attaching or securing the insert 40 to the container or construction 10 and for preventing the insert 40 from being collapsed.
The container or construction 10 may further include one or more frames or wire attachments or retaining members 33 attached to the outer peripheral portion of the container or construction 10 and for selectively engaging with the insert 40 and for suitably or solidly retaining the insert 40 within the chamber 32 of the container or construction 10 and for preventing the insert 40 from being collapsed. It is to be noted that the various exercise devices or apparatuses 90, 91 may be selectively or changeably engaged into the insert 40 for allowing the users 80 to conduct various exercise operations in the container or construction 10 of the portable water pool 1.
In operation, as shown in FIG. 9, the barrels 28 and the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 may be slid or moved along the rails 20 or the side portions 21 of the upper member 16 from the front vertical or working position to the lower tilted or folding position, and the upper member 16 may also be pivoted or rotated relative to the base member 11 and the rear member 14 from the upper horizontal or working position to the lower tilted or folding position, and the compartment 41 of the insert 40 may be filled with the water that occupies about one third of the compartment 41 of the insert 40 before use, the user may then easily enter into the compartment 41 of the insert 40 and may then move or slide the barrels 28 and the upper portion 29 of the front member 25 along the rails 20 or the side portions 21 of the upper member 16 to the working position as shown in FIG. 10, and to fill the rest portion of the compartment 41 of the insert 40 before or while operating the exercise devices or apparatuses 90, 91.
As shown in FIGS. 1-4, and 9-10, the insert 40 includes one or more (such as two) upper water outlet ports 43 located at about one third of the height as measured from the bottom portion of the insert 40 for determining the partially filling status of the water in the compartment 41 of the insert 40 as shown in FIG. 9, and preferably includes one or more (such as two) lower water outlet ports 44 located at the bottom portion of the insert 40 for allowing the water to completely flow out of the insert 40.
Accordingly, the portable water pool combination in accordance with the present invention may be provided for receiving an exercise device therein and for allowing the user to conduct various exercise operations in the portable water pool, and includes a foldable or collapsible structure for allowing the portable water pool to be easily operated by the users and for allowing the users and the exercise device to be easily entered into or moved out of the portable water pool.
Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

1. A portable water pool combination comprising:

a foldable construction including:

a base member having a front portion and a rear portion,

a rear member extended upwardly from said rear portion of said base member and having an upper portion,

an upper member having a rear portion pivotally coupled to said upper portion of said rear member with a pivot axle for allowing said upper member to be pivoted relative to said base member and said rear member between an upper working position and a tilted position, said upper member having a front portion,

a front member having a lower portion pivotally coupled to said front portion of said base member with a pivot shaft for allowing said front member to be pivoted relative to said base member and said rear member between a front working position and a tilted position, and said front member having an upper portion,

at least one lock member selectively locking said front member to said upper member for anchoring said front member and said upper member at the working position and for forming a three-dimensional structure for said construction and for forming a chamber in said construction, and said front member and said upper member being foldable relative to said base member and said rear member to the tilted position when said at least one lock member is released from front member and said upper member,

an insert engaged into said chamber of said construction and including a compartment formed in said insert for receiving a water, and

an exercise device received in said compartment of said insert for conducting an in-water exercise operation.

2. The portable water pool combination as claimed in claim 1, wherein said insert includes an upper peripheral flap engaged over said upper member for attaching said insert to said construction.

3. The portable water pool combination as claimed in claim 1, wherein said upper member of said construction includes a rail for slidably engaging with said upper portion of said front member.

4. The portable water pool combination as claimed in claim 3, wherein said front member includes a barrel provided on said upper portion of said front member and slidably engaged with said rail for slidably coupling said upper portion of said front member to said upper member and for allowing said front member and said upper member to be moved between the working position and the tilted position.

5. The portable water pool combination as claimed in claim 4, wherein said upper member of said construction includes two couplers attaching said rail to said upper member and engageable with said barrel for limiting said barrel and said front member to move relative to said base member and said rear member.

6. The portable water pool combination as claimed in claim 4, wherein said at least one lock member is engageable with said barrel and said rail for selectively locking said front member to said upper member.

7. The portable water pool combination as claimed in claim 1, wherein said construction includes at least one retaining member for engaging with the insert.
