Abstract
A cap device of a gas cylinder valve is sheathed on an exhaust valve of a high-pressure gas cylinder and is primarily constituted by a cover and a base. The cover is formed with a holding space, a wall of the cover is formed with a corresponding perforation, and an inner side of the wall is defined with a locking part by which the cover can be locked with a fixing part of the base. On the other hand, pre-determined positions on the fixing part are provided with plural positioning members at corresponding positions. Therefore, after the cover has been locked and assembled with the base, the cap device can be installed on the high-pressure gas cylinder, thereby preventing the exhaust valve from being damaged by impact of a foreign object.
Description
- a) Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a cover of a gas cylinder valve, and more particularly to a cap device of a gas cylinder valve, an entire design of which can be improved and which can more facilitate dismantling and assembling a protection cap.
- b) Description of the Prior Art
- As evolution of industrial technologies, an industrial design standard increases relatively. However, an industrial manufacturing method is still based upon a fundamental manufacturing model, such as an industrial processing plant, an industrial manufacturing plant, etc, all of which utilize a high-pressure gas cylinder to store required gas and apply to a work piece that needs to be processed. As the gas is compressed by high pressure before being filled into the gas cylinder, an exhaust valve has to be used in the high-pressure gas cylinder to control an output of the internal gas. Therefore, the exhaust valve will directly affect industrial safety of the plant and in order to avoid the exhaust valve from being damaged by an external force, the gas cylinder will be normally installed with a protection cap to protect the exhaust valve.
- Nevertheless, when using the aforementioned protection cap, following problems and shortcomings actually exist to be improved:
-
- 1. This protection cap is made by casting metal and is directly sheathed on the exhaust valve. As it is unable to directly lock between the protection cap and the exhaust valve, the protection cap cannot be fixed effectively and even can escape when transporting the high-pressure gas cylinder.
- 2. As being in a loose state, the protection cap can be shaken easily to directly hit the exhaust valve, thereby damaging the exhaust valve.
- Accordingly, how to solve the aforementioned problems and shortcomings of the prior art is a direction of research and development for improvement by the present inventor and related vendors.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide a cap device of a gas cylinder valve, which is sheathed on an exhaust valve of a high-pressure gas valve and is primarily composed of a cover and a base, wherein the cover is formed with a holding space, a wall of the cover is formed with a corresponding perforation and an inner side of the wall is defined with a locking part by which the cover can be locked with a fixing part of the base. On the other hand, pre-determined positions at the fixing part are provided with plural positioning members at corresponding positions. Therefore, after the cover has been locked and assembled with the base, the cap device can be installed on the high-pressure gas cylinder that not only the position of the cap device can be fixed, but also the exhaust valve can be prevented from being damaged by impact of a foreign object.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a cap device of a gas cylinder valve that by the assemble-type cap device, convenience in assembling or dismantling can be increased.
- To enable a further understanding of the said objectives and the technological methods of the invention herein, the brief description of the drawings below is followed by the detailed description of the preferred embodiments.
-
FIG. 1 shows a three-dimensional view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 2A shows a local exploded view of a base of the present invention. -
FIG. 3 shows a cutaway view of a usage state of the preferred embodiment of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 shows a schematic view of an operation of the present invention which applies an iron bar to open a cap device. -
FIG. 5 shows a schematic view of another embodiment of the present invention. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 , 2 and 2A, it shows a three-dimensional view, an exploded view, a cutaway view and a local exploded view of a base, of a preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the drawings, the present invention is a cap device of a gas cylinder valve. Thecap device 1 is sheathed on anexhaust valve 20 of a high-pressure gas cylinder 2 and comprises primarily acover 10 and abase 12; wherein, thecover 10 is provided with awall 101 which is defined with aholding space 102 and is formed with acorresponding perforation 104, and an inner side of thewall 101 is defined with alocking part 106 by which thecover 10 can be locked with afixing part 120 of thebase 12. On the other hand, pre-determined positions on thefixing part 120 are provided withplural positioning members 122 at corresponding positions. - As an inner surface of the
base 12 is formed with a first screw-thread 124 and the high-pressure gas cylinder 2 is also formed with a second screw-thread 22 which is locked correspondingly with the first screw-thread 124, thebase 12 can be locked on the high-pressure gas cylinder 2. - Referring to
FIG. 3 at a same time, it shows a cutaway view of a usage state of the preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the drawings, first, thebase 12 is locked on the second screw-thread 22 of the high-pressure gas cylinder 2 through the first screw-thread 124, and then, thebase 12 is further rigidly locked on the high-pressure gas cylinder 2 by using thepositioning members 122 that are provided on thefixing part 120 of thebase 12. After fixing thebase 12, thecover 10 is locked with thefixing part 120 of thebase 12 through thelocking part 106. As a result, after thecover 10 has been locked and assembled with thebase 12, thecap device 1 can be installed on the high-pressure gas cylinder 2 that not only the position of thecap device 1 can be fixed, but also theexhaust valve 20 can be prevented from being damaged by impact of a foreign object. - Referring to
FIG. 4 , it shows a schematic view of an operation of the present invention which applies an iron bar to open the cap device. As thecover 10 is formed with thecorresponding perforation 104, when thecap device 1 is locked too tight to be turned open by a hand or thecap device 1 is locked dead by being rusted, aniron bar 3 can be used to penetrate into theperforation 104 to easily open thecap device 1 by the principle of lever. Therefore, a user does not need to worry about inconvenience in implementation which is caused by that thecap device 1 cannot be opened. - Referring to
FIG. 5 , it shows a schematic view of another embodiment of the present invention. When manufacturing acap device 1 a, acover 10 a and abase 12 a can be formed integrally and when assembling, a first screw-thread 124 a on thebase 12 a can be locked on a second screw-thread 22 a on a high-pressure gas cylinder 2 a, so as to fix thecap device 1 a on the high-pressure gas cylinder 2 a by screwing, which can also improve convenience in assembling and dismantling. - It is of course to be understood that the embodiments described herein is merely illustrative of the principles of the invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be effected by persons skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims.
