Abstract

This chair cover will make any old chair look as if it had been completely re-upholstered from the top to the bottom. The design of this cover slides on from the top of the chair, with flaps that attaches underneath the chair to hold the cover firmly in place, and flaps that cover the legs on the chair, and eliminate the old fashioned skirts on slipcovers that are currently being sold in stores. Cushion has been added for comfort and firmness, and the chair cover is easy to make and use. It is also completely different from any chair or slipcover that has ever been designs, and just as convenient to use. The purpose of the upholstery chair cover is to give the appearance of a new or reupholstered chair.

  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Most short straight skirt, long pleated skirt and long straight chair covers or slip covers are suppose to give your dining room a whole new look and make your old furniture look new again, but at best it leaves the chair and the room looking traditional and old fashion. Although the material is very lovely, the slip cover is thrown off balance with the short straight skirt which shows the legs, or left looking terribly old fashion with the long straight or pleated skirt that ties in the back. These slip covers makes the chair look as if someone has simply thrown a piece of material on it. What is needed is a chair cover that can be designed to fit almost any chair and would make the chair look more contemporary and fashionable, and more natural in design.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The Upholstery Dining chair cover can be designed to fit almost any chair and will make the chair look more contemporary and fashionable. This chair cover will also make the chair look as if it had been completely re-upholstered from top to the bottom. The design of this cover will cover the legs on the chair, and it will eliminate the old fashioned skirts. The chair cover will still be easy to use and machine washable. The chair cover is multiple pieces of material sewn together to make a one piece chair cover. It will slide on and off from the top of the armless chair. It has four flaps that folds and attaches together under the seat of the chair, and two front leg flaps, and two back leg flaps that attaches and hold around each leg.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The one piece Upholstery Dining Chair Cover has 8 features:
      • 1. Slides on and off easily from the top of the chair.
      • 2. Has a removable or replaceable cushioned for the backrest.
      • 3. Has a removable or replaceable cushioned for seat.
      • 4. Has four triangle (Velcro) hook and loop fastener seat flaps that firmly secures of the cover.
      • 5. Has four rectangular (Velcro) hook and loop fastener leg flaps that attaches around the chair legs.
      • 6. Chair cover is machine washable
      • 7. Chair cover comes in any color or pattern
      • 8. Chair cover can be designed to fit any type of chair
  • The one piece upholstery chair cover slides over the dining chair from the top. It has cushions that slide into pockets on the inside of the material. The white linen sewn on the inside of the material serves as a pocket, and opens up to allow for the placement and/or removable of the cushions for the back rest and seat of the cover. The cushion for the back rest and the seat of the cover add extra comfort and fullness. The two (2) front rectangular (Velcro) hook and loop fastener flaps for the legs of the chair are also lightly padded to create fullness and attaches firmly around the legs of the chair. The four (4) triangle (Velcro) hook and loop fastener seat flaps that attaches underneath the chair to hold the cover firmly in place are not cushioned or padded. The back leg of the cover are also not patted or cushioned.
  • With the upholstery chair cover you can make your old dining room chairs look like new. The cover slides on from the top of the chair and has a cushioned backrest, and seat to create firmness and comfort. It has two (2) lightly cushioned rectangular flaps for the front legs of the chairs to create fullness. It has four (4) unpadded triangles seat flaps with (Velcro) hook and loop fastener that attaches underneath the chair to secure the backrest and seat of the cover firmly in place. The attachment of the hook and loop fastener legs and seat flaps, and the firm padded fit of this chair cover set this cover apart from any slip cover ever made. The chair cover gives the illusion of a newly re-upholstered chair, when actually it is just a slip cover.
