Description
- The present application is related to and claims priority from prior provisional application Ser. No. 61/250,959, filed Oct. 13, 2009 which application is incorporated herein by reference.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to the field of portable tables and more specifically relates to a portable table for placing a cleaning pail at a comfortable height.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Cleaning is a time consuming and muscle straining chore that may have to be repeated on a routine basis. This effects private people in their homes and professional cleaning services by reducing free time. At present it is a back braking repetition of bending to rinse out a cloth or sponge in a pail standing on the floor which can lead to chronic back pain and general discomfort. To alleviate this, many people may place the pail on the object being cleaned, on a countertop or table which requires continuous moving to and fro to rinse the sponge or towel out. Further, this may leave the bucket in an unstable position and/or may cause damage to table tops.
- For outside cleaning, for example windows, a pail standing on the ground requires continuous bending which is time consuming and painful to some users. At present there is no user-friendly alternative to this exhausting and inefficient task and many people suffer from task-related injuries and ailments. This is an ongoing problem which requires a solution that at present does not exist.
- Therefore a need exists for a means to place a pail in such a position that the back braking repetition of bending to rinse out a cloth or sponge in a pail standing on the floor is alleviated. A need exists for a means to place a container in such a position that it is easily accessible and stable.
- Various attempts have been made to solve the above-mentioned problems such as those found in U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,860,367, 5,273,063, 4,972,781, 5,511,753, 7,040,977, and 2006/0180053. This prior art is representative of portable tables. None of the above inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to describe the invention as claimed.
- Ideally, a portable table for placing a cleaning pail at a comfortable height should be easy to use, ease the back breaking process of continuously bending to rinse out cloths, operate reliably and be manufactured at a modest expense. Thus, a need exists for a reliable portable table for placing a cleaning pail at a comfortable height to decrease the strain on the individual and to avoid the above-mentioned problems.
- In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known portable table art, the present invention provides a novel adjustable pail stand system. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a portable table for placing a cleaning pail at a comfortable height.
- A container holding table is disclosed herein comprising a table top having a top planar surface and a bottom planar surface with an opening and at least one height adjustable table leg. The height adjustable table leg is connected to the bottom planar surface of the table top. The opening is located in the center of the plastic table top and comprises a round through hole sufficiently sized to receive a container.
- The container holding table comprises at least one height adjustable metal table leg. The height adjustable table leg comprises a stainless steel caster. The height adjustable table leg further comprises an inner and an outer tube which are slidably arranged. The inner and outer tube provide telescoping means allowing adjustment of up to four inches via at least one set of apertures and a push button securing device. The height adjustable table leg is capable of being repeatedly unfolded from an open position to a closed position for convenience while storing.
- A kit is also described herein including at least one pail, at least one table top having a central opening, at least one adjustable table leg, and a user instruction manual.
- Further, a method of using a container holding table is disclosed herein comprising the steps of unfolding height adjustable table legs, adjusting the height adjustable table legs to a desired length, placing a container holding table in a work area, filling a pail with at least one fluid, and placing the pail into a center opening of the container holding table. Optionally removing the pail from the container holding table, collapsing the adjustable table legs, and storing the container holding table.
- The present invention holds significant improvements and serves as an adjustable pail stand system. For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
- The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and method(s) of use for the present invention, adjustable pail stand system, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present invention.
