- This product is designed to fully cover and protect flat screen monitors such as those used in restaurants. It is a plastic cover that will protect monitors from dust, cooking grease, liquids, etc.
- This product is a screen protector designed to protect flat screen monitors. The cover is made of a clear plastic and can be manufactured to fit any size screen. The cover is made to fully cover the front of the monitor and wrap around the sides and slightly onto the back of the monitor.
- Because this cover wraps around the sides of the monitor onto the back it offers the greatest protection from grease, dust, etc.
-
FIG. 1 is a frontal view of the protector. It shows the three surfaces of the cover. The boldest line is the outline of the front of the cover, which can be manufactured to fit any size flat screen monitor. The four sewn corners are drawn in (the dotted lines being portions of the cover that would be behind the front portion) and the medium thickness line denotes the portion of the cover that is even with the back edges of the monitor. The thin dotted lines indicate the portion of the cover that reaches onto the back of the monitor and goes across the corners. This portion can have either elastic or a drawstring sewn into the inside edge of the cover, indicated by the secondary dotted box. - The cover is made of a thin, clear, flexible plastic that allows clear visibility of the screen beneath and can also be wiped clean with typical cleansers. There are two variants in design. In the first, the front is cut to the exact size of the front of the monitor and then the four corners of the plastic cover are sewn in to match the size of the corners of the sides of the monitor. The cover then continues around onto the back of the monitor by about 1-2 inches. Then around the edges there is an elastic band sewn around it to pull the cover tightly onto the monitor including pieces sewn diagonally across the four corners.
- In the second variant, the front is again cut to the exact size of the front of the monitor and the corners sewn in across the sides. The back overlaps again by about 1-2 inches and then a drawstring is sewn in around the back edges to allow easy access to tighten and release the cover, secured by an adjustable lock like those found on the drawstrings on coats.
