Abstract
A fun, durable, fashion forward tote bag, which allows people to change the middle insert around to fit their daily life routines weather they are right or left handed and keeps the mind thought of being organized at the same time, and be able to interchange colors with the insert and outer shells from the different themes. And most of all, have a comfortable fit to the whole bag.
Description
- This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional patent application Ser. No. 12/543/740, which is incorporated by reference herein.
- The present invention relates generally to a fashion tote bag having a removable compartmental insert that can be switched for right and left handed people. More particularly pockets that is labeled and useful for everyday use.
- The invention will be described with reference to an everyday useful fashion forward compartmental bag, which allows people to switch the middle insert to make the everyday items as described in the drawings readily accessible and convenient for the user.
- It's desirable for the user to conveniently store the everyday items that are constantly used, and can be switched around for right or left handed people, as well as color coordinating, and organizing their items.
- Although there are other tote bags with pockets, there are no known tote bags that allow easy access to everyday items at hands reach.
- The present Invention provides a fashionable colored tote bag with a middle insert that can be helpful to people in organizing the essential personal items and allows people to switch the insert around, hence for right and left handed people. The invention has 8 to 10 labeled compartments that hold water bottles, keys, pens, loose change “coins”, cell phone, ear buds, Ipods, for the work bag and school bag, and the same for the gym and beach bags, with the gym bag having an extra sleeve for a racquet, and the beach bag having a outside pocket for flip flops and a strap for a beach towel. The fabric for the bags will be nylon, microfiber, and cotton canvas with Velcro and a elastic strap. This bag will be introduced first in a affordable fabric, that be wiped clean, and then introduced later in different fabrics, in order to hit certain price points, and continue and expand with different sizes on what I hope to a National Brand name for fun, organized, and fashionable tote bags for different outings in life, for work, school, beach, and gym.

FIG. 1 is the front view of the middle insert for both sides, the compartmental side and blank side. -
FIG. 2 is the outside overall view of the bag as a whole, with adjustable shoulder straps, C rings, and hand straps. The dotted lines are the re-enforced stitching. -

FIG. 6 is the front view of the both side gussets of the beach bag showing the towel elastic strap, and the flip flop pocket. - The present invention provides a tote bag with having multiple pockets on a removable middle insert.
FIGS. 1 #1 and #2 is the middle insert that is padded inside with a plastic insert for stability at 1 cm thickness. The middle insert overall measurement is 17.5″ wide×14″ high×0.5″ thick. #3 and #4 are the twonumber 10 zippers, which zip a total length of 9.75″. #5 is the water bottle pocket that measures 8″ high×3.75″ wide×1″ deep with an elastic strap to hold the bottle tightly in place, and the inside of this pocket is lined with Poly urethane coating in case the water leaks, it's water proofed. #6 and #7 are the writing instruments pockets that each measure 1.25″ wide×6.25″ high×1″ deep. #8 is the earphone holder elastic strap that measures 2.75″ wide×1.″ high, to holdearphones. # 9 is the IPOD holder that measures 2.75″ wide×4.12″ high×.75″ deep. #10 is the cell phone holder that measures 3″ wide×4″ high×0.5″ deep. #26 is the Velcro strap that measures 1″ wide×2.5″ high, that secures the cell phone in place. #11 is the loose change coin holder, that measures 2.6″ wide×3.5″ high×1″ deep, with a metal clip togetherclasp. # 12 is the metal key fob attached by fabric and double stitching right to the middle insert. -
FIG. 2 is the outside front sides of the overall bag. #13 is the overall side measurement of 12″ high×18″ long. The dotted lines represent the doublere-enforced stitching. # 14 are the hand straps that are attached to the inside of the bag, with re-enforced stitching, and the attachment points are spread to 9″ apart to where they are fixed to allow a persons are to go though, or for their hands to hold the bag. There are two straps, one for each side of the bag. The hand straps are 1.5″ wide, and have an 8″ loop. #15 is the adjustable shoulder strap, that measures 50″ long to adjust to 25″ though the attached adjustable clip made of metal. The Shoulder strap is 1.5″ wide, and both the hand and shoulder straps will be made from either nylon, microfiber, or cotton canvas. # 16 and #17 are the O rings made of metal, and attached to the side gussets of the bag. They measure 2″ in diameter. -
FIG. 3 #18 shows the side gussets of the tote bag. They measure 8″ wide×18″ high. The dotted lines represent the double re-enforced stitching, and the O rings will be attached to the gusset. One per side. -
FIG. 4 is the top view looking down, which will feature two side ties that measure 8″ long×0.75″ wide, allowing a person to tie the bag closed if desired. This view shows the middle insert inside the bag with the zipper location. -
FIG. 5 #23 shows the a regulation size die cut fabric sleeve for a tennis racquet with a approximate measurement of 17″ long×11″ high with a #8 zipper that will run alongside the top of the sleeve, allowing the racquet to be inserted. This sleeve is only for the GYM bag. -
FIG. 6 #25 is a pocket on the side gusset for flip flops or sandals. Made of same fabric of the tote bag, and measures 6″ wide×9.75″ high×3″ deep. #24 is the elastic strap on the other side gusset that measures 6″ wide×2″ high, attached to the side gusset with re-enforced stitching. This strap can fit a 30″ ×60″ rolled towel. Please note these extra features are on the Beach bag only.
Claims (3)
1. A tote bag that features the first removable middle insert for right and left handed people.
2. Compartments that are made for particular named items with fun names for each compartment.
3. 4 themes/names for the bags.
A. “Nine 2 Five” bag for travel and work related
B. “Knowledge is Power” bag for college students
C. “Tennis Anyone” is the gym bag with the extra racquet sleeve
D. “Day @ the Beach” bag for the beach. With the extra towel strap, and sandal pocket.
E. And a junior's line to follow, as well as Travel, and Nurse themes to follow.
